KANADE, a croissant shop that opened on the first floor of Aeon Town Kurosaki. They have a branch in Kokura Minami Ward, which I always see when I pass by on the bus back from Tenjin, but I've only visited when it's already closed. I heard that KANADE opened at Aeon Town Kurosaki, so I stopped by when I had errands in Yahata Nishi Ward. Croissants come in many varieties, including anko (sweet red bean paste) bread. The shop has a display case, and you order from the staff. I initially planned to get a plain croissant, but the Ozamando (almond) croissant looked delicious, and I love almond-flavored treats, so I decided to get that instead. It was a pleasant day, so I enjoyed my outdoor snack like a picnic. The Ozamando croissant was flattened and topped with biscuit dough and almond slices. Even at room temperature, it was crispy and delicious, especially the biscuit dough. I thought it would just be almond slices on top of the croissant, but there was also a jam-like almond-flavored paste spread in the center, which added a nice sweetness. I really like the biscuit dough in croissants. I always choose ones with lots of it sticking out when I buy them. They accept PayPay as payment.
