During a slightly delayed lunchtime, every place was crowded before 12 o'clock. I climbed the stairs to the second floor and the owner assigned me a table seat. I ordered the daily lunch special (900 yen) which was a seafood fry assortment. The dish arrived in 4 minutes and it consisted of white fish, shrimp, and scallop fry with plenty of tartar sauce. The barley tea in the pot on the table was nicely chilled. "Thank you for the meal."

Daily special set meal: ¥900 Today, they had A. tomato sauce hamburger, B. tartar sauce shrimp cutlet, and C. grilled mackerel with rolled omelette. I chose the mackerel. It seemed like many other customers also chose the mackerel. By 12:05, the mackerel was sold out, and by 12:15, the restaurant was full. The mackerel and rolled omelette were both generously sized, so I left feeling satisfied. It was delicious. The side dishes were also varied, and the miso soup-like clear soup had a rich flavor. It was really good.

Unfortunately, it was raining on a weekday at 11:45 am when I arrived at this restaurant nearby. It had been three years since my last visit. I chose option B for today's lunch special (800 yen), which was seafood udon. I requested less rice. The dish was served in 5 minutes and included squid, shrimp, quail eggs, carrots, and wood ear mushrooms with a savory sauce. I finished it all and said, "Thank you for the meal."

Meow meow meow~! February 22, 2022 is "Super Cat Day". I love cats and I find solace in watching cat videos on social media every day. I can't live without cat videos... On this day, the biggest cat day of the century, even though I am celebrating, my stomach still gets hungry. I decided to visit a place just a few minutes walk from my workplace after a long time. The lunch options for 800 yen were: - Roast pork cutlet with curry sauce - Seafood plate udon - Grilled mackerel with rolled egg in broth I chose the pork cutlet. It came with miso soup, two side dishes, pickles, and rice. This was quite a good deal for 800 yen. The freshly fried pork cutlet was crispy, topped with curry sauce. This could easily turn into a pork cutlet curry, right? Let's try it as it is first. The spicy curry is a hit with everyone. The lotus root kinpira, bamboo shoots, and snow peas were healthy Japanese dishes. The large bowl of miso soup was too much. This lunch definitely filled me up. I was full halfway through, it was dangerous (*´ω`*) Finally, as expected, I put the cutlet on the rice. Instant pork cutlet curry is complete~❣️ Wow❣️ I'm so full that it's painful, I don't even want to look at my ugly stomach. I quickly paid with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

During the company's lunch break, I visited around 12 o'clock and was able to enter without waiting. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious, making it convenient during lunchtime. This area has three delicious restaurants lined up, so customers are likely to be spread out. [Order] Seafood Chanpon Set Meal ¥800. I wonder if this is an oden (Japanese hot pot) restaurant? I haven't tried it yet, but I would like to next time. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I was invited by my junior colleagues to go for lunch, so I gratefully accepted. They wanted to eat a traditional Japanese set meal, so they took me to this place. It's located on the second floor of the same building as "Umi no Sakana Riki", which I visited before. I had never noticed this restaurant before. The nearest station is probably Hommachi. It's located on a narrow street behind the OVIC Building. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere with mainly table seating, making it popular for group lunches. The lunch menu offers three daily specials, and on this day, they had "Sweet and Sour Pork", "Grilled Mackerel & Rolled Omelette", and "Assorted Fried Seafood". I chose the fried seafood. The portion was generous, with fried shrimp, horse mackerel, and cream croquette served with rice, miso soup, two small side dishes, and pickles. The seafood felt a bit lacking in size, and the batter was a bit too crispy for my liking. The side dishes were tasty, and overall, the meal was filling. The service was friendly and efficient, with two staff members attending to the customers. The speed of food delivery was good, and there were no issues with the service. The price of 800 yen for the meal in the Hommachi area seems a bit high considering the competition in the lunch market. The satisfaction level may vary depending on the menu chosen. My junior colleagues mentioned they had never tried the grilled mackerel, so perhaps sticking to simple dishes like that is a safer choice.

There is no violent charm like the fried fish meat, but eating hot white fish with soy sauce is delicious... and when it arrived, it was already topped with sauce haha. The main dish includes shrimp, white fish, and scallop, each with a small side dish, which is just right for those who tend to have an unbalanced diet. The miso soup has a strong flavor and the white fish is thick and fluffy, especially when dipped in tartar sauce and eaten with white rice. I actually wanted to use soy sauce, but overall, it was a well-balanced meal with no flaws. It may not be a place where you can eat a lot of the main dish, but I think older people would appreciate the quality of this restaurant.

On Monday, I went to this place for lunch at the beginning of the month. I arrived at 13:10 and was seated at a table. The grilled yellowtail was sold out, so I ordered the salt-grilled mackerel and rolled omelette set for 800 yen. It arrived 5 minutes later. The mackerel wasn't freshly cooked, but the saltiness and tenderness were just right for my taste. The rolled omelette was also well-seasoned, and no additional condiments were needed. The rice was barley rice, which is healthy and delicious. Even though I ordered a large portion, they offered a refill of the side dish, which was homemade. The miso soup had a simple and tasty flavor. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

On December 11, 2019, I had lunch at Yodoyabashi. I went to a casual izakaya for lunch. The entrance of the restaurant was decorated with flowers as they were celebrating their 17th anniversary. I was seated at a table for two on the second floor. I ordered the "Oyster Fry Set" for today. The kitchen staff seemed experienced and my meal arrived promptly. The miso soup was hot and slightly salty, which I liked. The simmered greens and lotus root with taro were decent in taste. The oyster fry had a crispy batter and you could taste the oyster, but it wasn't exceptional. The rice was a bit dry and lacked the desired texture. Overall, the lunch was okay but the quality of the rice affected the overall experience. I hope they continue to improve. I will come back again for another meal. Thank you for the meal. Today's lunch: Oyster Fry Set - 800 yen, Extra rice - 300 yen.

It's cold~ decided to have lunch nearby. There are a few shops in this alley with lunch menu signs outside: A. Pork cutlet with grated ponzu sauce B. Sauteed salmon with cream sauce C. Beef bowl with soft-boiled egg D. Grilled mackerel with rolled omelette "I'll have the salmon, please~" From ordering to serving, it only took two minutes! (◎_◎;) Too fast~ (bitter smile) I didn't ask for a rice refill. Thank you for the meal~ Winter Riviera, men are like boats leaving the harbor, the sadder they are, the quieter they become... ♫

"I made a reservation here to fulfill my selfish request of wanting to eat oden in this area. The place has large tables that are convenient for big groups, as well as many small tables that give off a cafe-like vibe. I ordered the assorted oden and the deep-fried squid as a light option for our second round. The oden was elegantly and delicately prepared, offering a refined and delicious taste. The deep-fried squid was just the right kind of snack that you can't help but order when you see it. Thank you for the wonderful meal!"

It's already March, so I thought it might be a bit early for hot pot, but how about oden? I went out to eat oden, which will probably be the last time this season. The place is right next to the Osaka Gas Building. It's on the 2nd floor of the building, so it may be a little hard to find. The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate a large number of people, even groups. The specialty of the restaurant is oden. They also have a wide variety of shochu. Upon entering the restaurant, we were served draft beer and appetizers. I ordered the amber Ebisu draft beer, which had a fine foamy head when poured. The first thing we ordered was the oden assortment, which came with 5 different ingredients - daikon radish, egg, konjac, fish cake, and thick fried tofu. The Kyoto-style oden had a refined broth that was delicious. We also ordered "mochi kenchaku" and "hanpen" as additional items. The "renkon ganmo" had a great texture and was tasty. We enjoyed the oden with sweet potato shochu mixed with hot water. It was a blissful moment. For salad, we ordered the "kaiware and daikon Japanese-style salad." The "grilled salted salmon belly" was fatty and delicious, especially with vinegar. The "grilled conger eel" was hot and perfect for a cold day. My wife ordered the "yam and grated yam barley rice," which I didn't try. The prices were reasonable, and we had a great time. However, as the weather gets warmer, we might have to wait until autumn for oden again. Thank you for the meal.

The food is average. It's understandable that it's all smoking inside, but the poor ventilation made me feel sick from the cigarette smoke.

Shirasu don: "Shirasu don" is a dish that consists of small, white fish called shirasu served over a bed of rice. It is a popular dish in Japan, especially in coastal regions. The shirasu are usually lightly boiled or steamed before being placed on top of the rice. The dish is often garnished with toppings like seaweed, green onions, or a raw egg yolk. It is a simple yet delicious meal that showcases the fresh flavors of the sea.

Visit date: June 8, 2018 (Friday) at 11:53 AM Companion: Y-kun (3rd time) From Midosuji Street heading west, there is a road between Hirano-cho and Awaji-cho that leads to Goryo Shrine (this road may have been a shrine approach even before Midosuji Street was built). There are a few shops still operating along this narrow alley. Among them is "Oden and Delicacies Kisaragi." Arriving just before lunchtime, I peek inside the crowded shop and decide to go upstairs as it seems like I can easily get a table even at this time. I look at the menu on the spacious table. - Pork belly and pork bone simmered in soy sauce - Tempura of sea bream and chikuwa - Seafood bowl - Grilled mackerel with salt All items are priced at 800 yen each. I order the seafood bowl. Within 5 minutes, before it gets too crowded, the seafood bowl is served. It includes salmon, squid, scallop, and shrimp, along with two small side dishes, miso soup, and rice. It's a simple yet satisfying meal. While the proximity is a convenience, it's not a place I would visit often. I use it as a treat every few years. The evening is also a good time to visit, as the restaurant specializes in "oden." Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

Midosuji Hiranocho 3-chome intersection, turn left at the first street to the west, and on your right hand side, you will find Mitama Shrine in a narrow alley on the third building on the second floor. I have been to Oden and Sosai Kisaragi a few times, but it doesn't leave much of an impression. Today's lunch menu includes Steamed Shumai & Karaage, Karei (flounder) Karaage with Japanese-style mushroom sauce, Pork Belly and Cartilage Stew Rice Bowl with Onsen Tamago, and Grilled Mackerel with Dashimaki Tamago, all for 800 yen each. "I'll have the Steamed Shumai and Pork Belly and Cartilage Stew, please." The Steamed Shumai was a mistake, but my companion said the Pork Belly and Cartilage Stew was delicious. ♫ Leaning against the window, erasing one dream at a time, it's painful, but lately, I feel the reality of things I couldn't understand when I was too young. ♫

I visited the restaurant "Oden and Side Dishes Kisaragi" that I had been curious about for a while. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Bunraku Building, a 5-6 minute walk from Yodoyabashi, near Gotama Shrine. I started with a toast with Ume Plum Wine for 520 yen and Amber Ebisu beer for 530 yen! I enjoyed the refreshing combination of Ume Plum Wine and wine. The appetizers for the day were grilled salmon and Koya tofu for 350 yen, which had a gentle and comforting flavor. The Daikon Oden for 350 yen, with a refined broth of bonito and kelp, was soothing with the well-infused daikon, and the generous amount of seaweed was a nice touch! The landlady's potato salad for 400 yen had a homemade feel and a comforting texture. The homemade Renkon Ganmo for 400 yen had a deliciously fragrant and sweet lotus root ganmo, highly recommended! For the second round of sake with my companion, we had the Hoshikasumi Junmai Sake for 850 yen, and we also tried the Oden Tofu for 340 yen, which was a first for me, but my companion insisted it was a must-have with Oden. The light and fluffy tofu Oden was perfect for summer! The Mizu Gyoza for 400 yen, with its chewy texture, paired well with the Oden. The daily special menu of Whale Cutlet for 850 yen, a healthy whale meat high in protein, low in calories, and low in fat, was a rare treat that I enjoyed after a long time. The Momoyama Peach Sake for 520 yen had a sweet and sour taste with a peach aroma. For the third round of sake with my companion, we had the Kazeno Mori for 950 yen. For the finale, I was torn between Ochazuke, Tamagokake Gohan, but I ended up having the Salt Yakisoba with plenty of vegetables and mentaiko for 850 yen. The dish was packed with pork and the mentaiko added a addictive flavor. I was able to enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I was the first customer as I visited right after the opening, but by the time I left, the place was full of salarymen returning from work. There is also a counter seat, so it's easy to stop by even if you're dining alone. The Oden and side dishes, all carefully prepared, were delicious. It was a fun time with my friends. I heard they also offer a reasonably priced lunch for 800 yen, so I would like to visit again. Oden and Side Dishes Kisaragi, Osaka City Chuo-ku Hiranocho 4-2-4 Bunraku Building 2F

I had lunch, which consisted of grilled salted mackerel and rolled omelette with dashi broth. Grilled Salted Mackerel: The mackerel was grilled to perfection, with a nice crispy texture that allowed the bones to be easily eaten. However, the flavor was quite strong, almost too salty. It would have been better if it was described as dried fish, as the intense flavor is more typical of dried fish. The lemon didn't help much in reducing the saltiness. The ginger served as a side was a nice touch. Rolled Omelette: The dashi flavor in the rolled omelette was not very pronounced. Side Dishes: The spaghetti with mayonnaise dressing felt like a salad replacement, but it lacked vegetables. The fried shumai and simmered konjac were also served, along with pickles and miso soup. Rice: The rice was cooked just right, but it was sprinkled with furikake from the start, which may not suit everyone's taste. The hojicha tea was delicious. Overall, the meal cost ¥780, which felt a bit expensive for what was offered. It would have been nice to have some unique features in the dishes, even something as simple as a special pickle. Despite nothing particularly standing out, the restaurant was quite busy.

There is a shop called "Kisara" in front of the Mitama Shrine in Osaka. The lunch menu is all priced at 780 yen, with tempting dishes such as sweet and sour pork, fried mackerel, and chicken and egg rice bowl. I ordered grilled mackerel and rolled omelette, which may seem like a very ordinary home-cooked meal. The meal also comes with simmered bonito, broccoli, and other side dishes. The portions are quite generous, and I was tempted to order extra rice, but I resisted. I guess this amount is just right.

I went to a restaurant with a respected friend who is the president of a certain company. As I climbed the stairs, I entered a traditional Japanese space. They had a variety of delicious sweet potato shochu bottles lined up, which made my heart flutter. I promised myself to come back at night for sure! The lunch menu had several options, all priced at 780 yen each. I chose option D, which was grilled salted mackerel with rolled egg, and it came with a side of fried horse mackerel. The meal also included side dishes like tofu, miso soup, and pickles, with unlimited servings of mixed grain rice. Everything was delicious and of very high quality. I am confident that the other menu options are just as tasty. In terms of price, the lunch was definitely worth it. I am looking forward to coming back for dinner when they have a selection of shochu bottles on display. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I have already decided on the day for my next visit. Bon appétit!
