If someone says they want to eat delicious Japanese cuisine and sake, I would recommend this place. Start with beer, but once the first dish arrives, switch to sake immediately. The lineup of sake is based on the organizer's preference for the day. There are wonderful brands in the refrigerator, so it's exciting to see what will be served. From fish, soup, meat, and finishing with rice dish. We enjoyed various kinds of finishing touches like ochazuke, filling up our stomachs and feeling completely satisfied. Reservation is required, so make sure to book in advance.

Matsunomiya-san, who I haven't seen in a while, served delicious food as always. It was a meal that allowed me to relax and will give me energy for tomorrow. The cost performance was excellent. I forgot to take a picture of the last mixed rice dish and one more dish. The lineup seemed like just ordering drinks could cover the meal cost. Thank you for always serving delicious food.

There was a Japanese restaurant in Abeno, Osaka. When I was living in Osaka, I used to pass by this area often but never noticed this restaurant. Inside the restaurant, there were many types of Japanese sake displayed, which was very attractive, but since it was lunchtime, I had to resist. On this day, I had the A5 Wagyu beef course meal. It was my second visit, and you can order this course from the second visit onwards (reservation required).
- A5 Wagyu Beef Course Meal
1. Sendai Beef Tongue Yukhoe
2. Misuji (side) Ichibo sashimi
3. Shabu-shabu
4. Momo Tataki
5. Sirloin, thick grilled egg yolk, leek and crab simmered lotus root, Biwa ham, zucchini
6. Lamp Cutlet
7. Drinkable Sukiyaki
8. Senbon Suji mixed rice
→ As it is (1st serving)
→ With egg (2nd serving)
→ With dashi broth (3rd serving)
→ Topped with Tataki (4th serving)
The dishes were all delicious and satisfying, using premium beef brands like Kobe beef and Sendai beef. The bill was 20,000 yen per person (including souvenirs), which felt too luxurious for lunch and made me feel guilty but happy. The mixed rice at the end was like dessert (separate stomach). I wanted to eat until the rice ran out if my stomach had no limit. The leftover mixed rice was made into onigiri for takeout. The owner was very friendly and easy to talk to, with a touch of sophistication but not pretentious, which I liked. The special koji soy sauce used in the course was so delicious that I even took it home for egg rice. I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

It's been a while since I last visited Matsunomiya! The course with various types of meat such as Kagoshima Wagyu sirloin, figs, tomatoes, Tosazu jelly, Tottori Marushin, pears, Imari beef triangle brisket, and Hananira was outstanding. The premium beef from Shinshu, Kagoshima Wagyu, Kuruma fu, Shinshu beef Chateaubriand, Rokko green eggplant, Sendai beef Hiuchi, and Saga Wagyu sirloin sukiyaki were all delicious. This time, I requested the meat course and it was the best! Thank you, chef!

The restaurant is located about a 1-2 minute walk east from Abeno Station Exit 1 of the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line. Inside the restaurant, there are 8 counter seats. We started with a toast of draft beer and enjoyed a variety of dishes including appetizers like pickled vegetables, grilled ayu fish, and skewers. The meal also included soup, sashimi, grilled fish, simmered dishes, fried dishes, and a delicious rice dish. We paired the meal with a selection of sake. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and sake pairing and would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

In the pouring rain, I came out to Tennoji. It's always comforting to come to this area that I have been familiar with for many years. I went to "Matsumiya" in Abeno Ward. It is located about 60 meters east of Abeno Station on the Tanimachi Subway Line, exit 1. The interior of the restaurant, with seats lined up at an L-shaped counter, has a crisp traditional Japanese atmosphere. Each seat is neatly separated by a partition for COVID-19 prevention. While enjoying a delicious beer in a thin tumbler, I was served with firefly squid from Himi, aged marinated sea bream, and an eight-piece dish topped with wasabi flowers. This calls for a switch to sake (laughs). The "New Onion Surinagashi" includes rapeseed blossoms, salt-pickled cherry blossoms, and a 2-week aged filefish. A dish that cherishes the taste of the ingredients, as if the breath of spring is flowing into your body. The "Assorted Sashimi" using aged fish conveys a rich umami flavor to the tip of the tongue. There is no hint of dryness, just pure excellence. The addition of conger eel is also a nice touch. The "Grilled Dish" using a one-week aged saury is paired with beet sauce and accompanied by field garlic and Japanese knotweed. The "Simmered Dish" of bamboo shoots from Yamashiro, which accepts the teeth with exquisite resistance, is so delicious that it gives you goosebumps. Homemade imitation crab with umami juice, thick gourmet snap peas are also served. The "Matsusaka Beef Dice Steak" with garlic, cherry tomatoes, and pickled greens is cooked to a perfect light pink. The "Sea Bream and Bamboo Shoot Mixed Rice" with a distinct aroma of sea bream is also incredibly delicious, prompting me to ask for seconds (laughs). And now, it's time for a rice bowl topped with egg (*´д`*)ハァハァ. Enjoying the rich and flavorful dishes sprinkled with spring ingredients, drinking in broad daylight... truly a blissful time (laughs). Thank you for the meal (^^)

I accepted a friend's invitation and enjoyed a luxurious lunch from noon. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely with a touch of sophistication. We had a course meal featuring aged fish, and each dish was carefully explained to us. They were all delicious! You could tell that each dish was meticulously crafted and creative. They also put effort into their selection of Japanese sake, which paired well with the food and made the experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant is only a counter seat type, but I recommend it for groups or couples looking to have a private dining experience. They are willing to accommodate private bookings, even on Sundays or during lunch hours.
