This is a traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant with a sophisticated atmosphere. The dishes are delicious and elegant. They offer a great selection of tasty Japanese sake that pairs well with the food. While it's not super cheap, considering the quality and variety of dishes, it offers good value for money.

The other day, I visited a restaurant located diagonally across from Hitsuto, where I had recently reviewed. I decided to go there after seeing the storefront. The menu offered reasonably priced course meals, but since I was alone, I decided to order a la carte. The dishes were all visually appealing and tasted delicious. For more details, please refer to the photos.
On my first visit, I casually took a seat at the counter by myself. No matter where I go, people always seem to be on guard, wondering who I am. But I've gotten used to it. The proprietress asked me various questions, and eventually, my guard was lowered. The chef, who was cool, and the cute female apprentice chef (the right-hand woman of the chef) also joined in the conversation, making the atmosphere enjoyable. It was a cozy restaurant. The chef, the proprietress, the young and cute female apprentice chef, and the young male staff member in training made it a fun experience. Thank you for the meal.
***Special News! The chef is single! (Check his age for more details, haha) He is looking for a wife! Special News ends.

A friend and I decided to explore a new Japanese restaurant, and we stumbled upon Hanakawa. The atmosphere was great, and we had the place to ourselves as there were no other customers until we left. The menu offered choices ranging from 3800 yen to 8000 yen, with steaks included in the 6000 yen and above options. While I don't remember the specific dishes we had, I do recall that the food was reasonably priced and suitable for those looking for affordable Japanese cuisine. It may be a good option for casual gatherings or entertaining acquaintances. The restaurant is family-run, and the staff provided excellent service. Thank you for the meal.

This is a restaurant located behind the Hankyu Hotel in Fukushima. It was my first visit, and I had made a reservation, so I was guided to a tatami room. The room was small, perfect for two people. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, tatami seats, and even tatami rooms on the second floor for small banquets. It has only been open for two years, so it still has a new wood scent. We started with a toast with beer. The first dish was eggplant tofu with soy milk, which had a unique taste but was quite good. Next was sashimi - tuna, flounder, conger eel, and squid. They were not exceptionally delicious. We switched to sake, with seven different types ranging from ¥800 to ¥1600. The sake kept flowing. Then we had grilled dishes - striped jack with miso and scallops, which were delicious and paired well with the sake. An appetizer platter was served, with various small dishes that were perfect accompaniments to the sake. We enjoyed them all. We kept eating and drinking, feeling like we had overindulged. Finally, we had jyako rice and miso soup, followed by a tasty dessert. We had the ¥5800 course menu, which was plentiful and delicious. The value for money was good, and I would definitely consider revisiting this restaurant.

This is a Japanese restaurant located near the Jyosei Bridge intersection in Fukushima. It is situated across from the famous eel restaurant Hishihigashi. The restaurant offers a variety of creative and traditional dishes that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The interior has an open counter on the right side, a table for one group on the left, and a tatami room at the back, with a second floor as well. The master and mistress of the restaurant are friendly, and dining at the counter while chatting with them is a highlight. It is recommended to try the set course menu, but ordering a la carte is also possible. The menu offers a wide variety of individual dishes. The prices are reasonable, similar to those in Kita-Shinchi, so you can comfortably choose from the menu. The seasonal dishes are beautifully presented in dishes that enhance the appearance of the main dish. The grilled conger eel and salt-grilled goby from Tokushima made me want to drink a lot of sake. Although the selection of sake brands is not extensive, they do offer good quality sake. I drank a considerable amount of Kokuryu on this day. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and the food is delicious. The cheerful and refreshing demeanor of the staff creates a pleasant atmosphere. Although I ended up spending a lot due to overeating and drinking, normally it wouldn't cost around 10,000 yen per person. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for a banquet. I had been curious about this place as I passed by before. When I looked at the menu, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, so I was able to enter with peace of mind. It still seems new, as it has the smell of a newly built house. The first floor has a counter and tatami room, and the second floor has two private rooms. The restroom is located at the back of the first floor, so it's a bit far if you're on the second floor, which is a bit of a drawback. The Japanese cuisine is meticulously prepared and visually appealing. I think even older customers can enjoy it. There were many good drinks available, so it can be a bit expensive for those who drink, but it still doesn't exceed 10,000 yen. Today, I had a 3,800 yen course with sake, beer, and more. I drank quite a bit, so it cost around 6,500 yen. The sake is a bit pricey, starting at 800 yen, as they don't have cheaper options. It would be appreciated if they could offer some more affordable choices. The portion size was decent. There were many delicately flavored and elegant dishes, and I was very satisfied. The dishes that left an impression on me were the kawahagi liver, appetizers, hirame with miso glaze, red miso soup, and the dessert was also delicious. They even saw us off until we were out of sight, which made me feel grateful. The cozy atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy refined sake at a reasonable price make it suitable for business entertainment as well.

I think this shop was opened last summer in 2011. The first floor had a counter, so I thought it was a small shop, but I found out there was also a second floor. Surprisingly, the second floor had table seating in a tatami room. It felt a bit strange, but it was comfortable. I don't like sitting cross-legged or in seiza in a tatami room because it wrinkles my pants, so table seating is actually nice. It's good for smoking, so it might be good for entertaining guests. The second floor can be reserved, so no need to worry. I ordered the flower course for 3800 yen. The dishes had more volume than I expected and were visually appealing. The staff explained each dish carefully, but I was so amazed by the presentation that I couldn't remember anything. Please enjoy the photos. I don't think my writing can enhance the deliciousness. I'm more likely to decrease it. I started with bottled beer and ended up with sake. Well, I drank too much. The staff was polite and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. Due to its location, it truly is a hidden gem. (Night) Price range per person: 6000-7999 yen (Night) Overall rating: 3.0 Food: 3.5 Service: 3.5 Atmosphere: 3.0

Visited for a meeting and banquet with 14 people, seated on the 2nd floor. Surprisingly, there were tables instead of tatami mats for seating. The presentation of the dishes like appetizers, sashimi, and steamed dishes was beautiful and the taste was excellent. The tempura was made with crab legs instead of large prawns, which was a bit disappointing for me but others seemed satisfied. The sake was served in a unique way with a vessel filled with crushed ice and a sake pitcher on top. If there was a restaurant like this nearby, it would be great. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located in the alleyways near the south side of Hotel Hankyu, commonly known as "Hotel Hankyu Minami". I personally like to call it "Minami version of Hotel Hankyu". The first floor is centered around a counter, while the second floor has tatami mat rooms with tables, suitable for small gatherings of around 10 people. The head chef is the third son of a restaurant owner in Ashiya, and his mother assists with serving and customer service. Her old-fashioned style of service may be a bit intimidating for those not accustomed to it. The courses offered are reasonably priced, with the steak as the main highlight. Other dishes like appetizers are average, with a nostalgic taste. The value for money is quite good considering the variety of dishes offered. The charm of this place lies in the second-floor tatami rooms, which can be reserved for small groups. It seems like they are not used very often, as the new tatami scent still lingers.

I visited the restaurant without calling beforehand, feeling a bit rude but decided to go in anyway. It is located right across from the eel restaurant "Hisato." It is a cozy little traditional Japanese restaurant. The overall impression is very welcoming. The standout dish for me was the tempura of young ayu fish, which was surprisingly large for this time of year. It reminded me of the restaurants in Kitashinchi and Sannomiya. While it didn't have a strong impact overall, I look forward to visiting again in the future. I definitely recommend it.
