I had been interested in this restaurant for a while and finally went there with my family. It's a chicken restaurant, but the non-chicken dishes are also delicious. The cost performance is quite good. The 60-minute all-you-can-drink for 980 yen is also nice. I will definitely go again. There are many good restaurants in Okamachi.

I was told about this small shop by a colleague who said, "I don't really want to tell you because I don't want it to get crowded here." It's located across from the Toyonaka Summary Court. I was surprised by the selection of wines when I visited after a long time. The shop is small but still very popular. The yakitori prices range from 80 yen per skewer (chicken thighs) to around 105-125 yen per skewer. The prices are cheap, but the size of the meat per skewer is quite small, so the cost performance for yakitori is a bit questionable. The highlight here is the taste and affordability of the side dishes and kamameshi. I recommend the potato fries for beer lovers. They are very generous for the price of 250 yen. They go well with beer. The kamameshi is cooked after ordering, so it is very delicious and there are various variations to enjoy. Since it takes about 20 minutes to cook, it's best to order it as soon as you arrive at the restaurant, or at the latest by the middle of the party. Today, I ordered the "Garlic Rice-style Kamameshi with Garlic and Chicken" which had a nice blend of garlic and butter flavors. This time, we had a little drink for two people (one beer and two non-alcoholic beers for my partner) for a total of just under 4000 yen. The seating is limited (counter + 3 tables for 4 people each), so it's uncertain whether you can sit without a reservation. If you're going with 3-4 people, it seems like it's best to make a reservation.

I have been going to this restaurant occasionally for the past 2-3 years. As others have mentioned, it's a hidden gem that you almost don't want to tell people about. The seating is limited, so it can get crowded and hard to get in when it's busy (sorry, restaurant staff, haha). The master chef is reserved and the two friendly ladies running the place make it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The master chef probably has experience from hotels or French restaurants. The food is not your typical yakitori place, with a touch of Western or ethnic flavors added to the dishes. It's not a mismatch, but a perfect blend of unique and delicious flavors. Everything I've tried is really tasty, and the portions are generous. And it's affordable! They have a good selection of wines at reasonable prices, in addition to beer and shochu. I usually go with a friend, starting with beer, then a half bottle of white and red wine, various dishes, and ending with delicious kamameshi, all for around 8,000 yen for two people. If you don't drink much or have a small appetite, it could be even cheaper. The yakitori skewers are a bit on the pricey side because of the small portions, but I love the tsukune which has a unique Middle Eastern flavor. The service is attentive from the seating to the restroom, making it a pleasant dining experience. It's great for a date night too. I want more people to know about this place, but at the same time, I want to keep it a secret (laughs).
