In the quiet residential area of Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, there is a small cozy restaurant. They offer half-size portions for some items on the menu, so you can try a variety of dishes. We ordered two Coperto for 500 yen each - a delicious potato salad topped with pork fillet on crispy bread. The Caprese Salad for 1700 yen featured tasty Kyoto-produced mozzarella cheese with a fragrant olive oil. The Bruschetta half-size for 1100 yen had homemade sea urchin butter on crispy bread, rich and flavorful. The Oyster Arrabbiata for 1900 yen was a seasonal dish with a tasty sauce. The Lamb Roast Cacciatore for 3300 yen was tender and paired well with a refreshing sauce, vegetables, and white wine vinegar. The Strawberry Tiramisu for 800 yen and Panna Cotta for 700 yen were perfectly sized desserts. The Tiramisu had a coffee topping with a hint of bitterness, and the crispy matcha was refreshing. The Sicilian Lemonade for 1000 yen and glass of wine for around 1200 yen were both enjoyable. The portions were good for 1.5-2 people, and the service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and a calming ambiance. Overall, a satisfying meal for two people costing around 7000-8000 yen.

Every dish was delicious and it became a restaurant I want to visit again. When I went on a special occasion, they even put a message on the dessert ♡ The cozy atmosphere of the small restaurant was very charming. I went for lunch this time, but I would like to try dinner next time!

I came from a distant place. I recently had a rather indescribable experience at a French restaurant in Kyoto, so I was looking for a place to redeem myself, and this restaurant turned out to be a great choice. The gazpacho (chilled tomato soup) was delicious from the start. The rich tomato flavor really made me feel like I was in an Italian restaurant. It paired well with sparkling wine. The dishes included gazpacho with smoked eel and potato mousse, Hokkaido scallop carpaccio, organic cherry tomatoes and Valencia orange, Kochi duck loin with umeboshi mustard sauce, mozzarella in carrozza, Hokkaido sea urchin pasta, Miyazaki beef hamburger with Marsala sauce, and two types of desserts. The raw scallop appetizer went great with white wine, as did the duck appetizer. The French toast, a specialty of the restaurant, had a great cheese flavor. The sea urchin pasta was rich and paired well with wine. The basil and tomato pasta with mozzarella was very Italian and delicious. The beef dish, similar to a hamburger, was tasty and not too heavy. I paired it with white wine. The desserts were gelato and tiramisu, which I managed to finish despite being full. I ended with an espresso. The sommelier paired all the wines from Italy. I don't like red wine, so I was given white, orange, and rosé wines, which was a nice surprise. I had a total of 7 glasses for only 5,700 yen, which was incredibly affordable. The chef, sommelier, and young staff were all gentlemen and wonderful. The sommelier explained the dishes and wines carefully. Both the food and wine were simply delicious. I'm glad I was able to redeem myself after my last French restaurant experience. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

I went to this restaurant that I had heard about from an acquaintance to celebrate a special day. It is located a little way down a side street from the main road. The interior of the restaurant is not very spacious, but it has a very calm atmosphere. I added a wine pairing with 4 glasses (3500 yen) to the lunch course that I had reserved for the day. All the dishes were delicious, but I especially liked the refreshing marinated sardines with orange and the final roasted Japanese beef. The desserts were also delicious. The bread served on the side was always warmed up and tasty. I thought it might take longer than usual because it was a course meal, but before I knew it, I had spent about 2 and a half hours there, relaxing. I would like to visit again for another celebration in the future!

The course consisted of 10 dishes including dessert. The menu featured ingredients like horse meat, sea urchin, lobster, foie gras, beef fillet, and more, creating high expectations. The chef's skills kept us interested until the end, leaving us wanting more. We opted for wine pairing, but the staff could tell we were wine lovers and recommended a glass for each dish. We even had an extra glass with the main course, the beef fillet. Overall, we were very satisfied and happy to have found such a great restaurant in Kyoto.

The French toast with poached egg, mozzarella, and anchovy was truly delicious, a specialty dish of the restaurant. The pasta was also made to order upon request and the service and cost performance were excellent. The restaurant was fully booked, but I definitely want to visit again. This Italian restaurant left a lasting impression.

I visited this restaurant for lunch based on the good reviews on Tabelog. I ordered the 2900 yen lunch course, which included 4 dishes plus dessert and a drink. The main dish, Mozzarella in Carrozza, was like a croque-monsieur, and for pasta, there was an additional charge depending on the choice. I think it would have been better if the main dish was either meat or fish. The Mozzarella in Carrozza had a lot of cheese, so it might be better to have it after the pasta. I chose the spaghetti with karasumi and garlic oil for an additional 200 yen. It was delicious, but in terms of cost performance, it was just average, don't you think?

I was invited to a friend's house and decided to bring cheese and wine as a gift. I searched for a cheese shop on the map and found a lunch place nearby that looked delicious. I made a reservation right away. The lunch set cost 2900 yen and included a small dish with 6 assorted appetizers, Lino's specialty Mozzarella in Carrozza, pasta, and two desserts. The small dish was really small, served with a tiny spoon, and even came with a small soup. The Mozzarella in Carrozza was a French toast filled with mozzarella and anchovies, topped with a poached egg. It was really delicious and filling. For the main course, I chose the spaghetti with conger eel and lightly pickled cucumber in Aglio e Olio style, with added bottarga for 300 yen. For dessert, I had Tiramisu and Pistachio gelato, which were both smooth and delicious. I also had coffee to drink. After the meal, I visited the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine as usual and went through the Chinowa-kuguri ritual for good health and peace in the world.

I finally visited this place that I've been curious about for a while. I sat at the counter with a friend and we had a relaxing time. The staff were efficient and the dishes were served promptly. And they were delicious. I would love to come back in the evening and enjoy the a la carte menu.

All the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice, and I thought it was a great place. The best part was the sommelier who provided excellent service, which made our meal very enjoyable. I appreciated that they divided the pasta and risotto into individual portions for us.

Rino-san has a wonderful concept of a hidden gem. I made a reservation online and visited at night. I wanted to order from the menu, so I chose a la carte. The scallop carpaccio and sea urchin bruschetta were delicious. The specialty dish of sea urchin pasta was so tasty that I finished it quickly. The food was incredibly delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The prices were reasonable, making it an easy place to visit.

Located a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway, this restaurant does not have a parking lot. It offers authentic Italian cuisine in a casual setting. Nestled quietly in a residential area, the restaurant has an understated, adult hideaway-style exterior. The cozy interior exudes a calm and pleasant atmosphere, with counter seats in the front and table seating in the back. When I made a reservation over the phone, they prepared a counter seat for me. I ordered the LINO Lunch Course for 2,900 yen including tax. The course included a small dish with a tuna-like topping on bread, cabbage potage, quiche, and a platter of six appetizers featuring natural sea bream, Tanba chicken, and sea urchin, among others. It also came with bread, the famous Mozzarella in Carrozza with plenty of cheese, French toast topped with poached egg and prosciutto, duck and Kujo green onion Bolognese pasta, pistachio ice cream, tiramisu for dessert, and coffee. The appetizers were quite generous, with even sea urchin included in one bite, leaving me satisfied. The French toast was a cheese lover's delight, with a perfect combination of cheese, egg, and ham. The main pasta dish was loaded with ground duck meat and the crunchy texture of Kujo green onions added a nice touch. The chewy pasta added to the richness of flavors. Overall, the course was well-balanced, and the attentive and unpretentious service provided by the two male staff members was excellent. I would definitely like to visit again.

I went without a reservation and was able to get in by chance. It was a restaurant I had been wanting to try for a while. I was extremely satisfied as it met my expectations. Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was also great. The lunch was 2900 yen, but it was worth every penny. The monthly special dish was also very well-crafted, almost too beautiful to eat in one bite. Of course, the taste was excellent as well. The Mozzarella Incarozza seems to be a specialty of this restaurant, which is French toast filled with mozzarella and anchovies, then deep-fried. It was quite filling. I tried to go again right after, but it was fully booked. I recommend making a reservation for those planning to visit.

Recently, my favorite Italian restaurant in Kyoto is LINO. Everything I eat there is delicious. They have a strong commitment to quality, and their courses are often the main focus. Of course, I have no complaints about that, but sometimes I just want to eat and drink whatever I like in abundance! This is where à la carte restaurants come in handy. And LINO is very reasonably priced. The quality you get for the price is surprising and delightful. From the amuse-bouche to the wine selection, everything is enjoyable. Even simple dishes like Caprese are made with delicious ingredients, hitting all the right spots. The staff at the restaurant are also very friendly and provide great service, making it a great place for casual meals or special occasions. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had my first meal at Lino's. Instead of a course menu, I ordered a la carte. To start, a mousse and shrimp appetizer was served, which was delicious with a hint of olive oil. Then, I ordered the following dishes: recommended this month - saury (appetizer), duck confit with fig compote (appetizer), porcini and guanciale spaghetti; from the regular menu - squid ink spaghetti with squid and kujo green onion, cacio e pepe, pappardelle, mango tiramisu, prune and chocolate torta with vanilla ice cream, espresso, and tea. I ate a lot. My favorite was the porcini pasta, which was served at the perfect time when I was starting to feel full (just before dessert). It was so delicious! All the pasta dishes were cooked perfectly. The torta was rich and tasty, and the coconut chip under the ice cream was also delicious. My mother only wanted to eat pasta, so we didn't get to try the secondi dishes this time. I would love to try them next time.
