Apparishan Hirakata Gaito Branch is a restaurant located a few minutes' walk from Hirakata City Station on the Keihan Line, where you can enjoy Okinawan cuisine. There are two branches, Hirakata Store and Hirakata Gaito Store on the Hirakata City Hall side. The Hirakata Store seems to be more popular. You can enjoy Okinawan dishes such as Goya Champuru, which is generously made with Okinawan carrots, my personal favorite Mozuku tempura, and Jimami tofu unique to Okinawa. Of course, the drink of choice is Orion beer (laughs).

I visited my favorite Okinawan cuisine izakaya, Apparishan. The actual location and the one shown on the map are different, which is a bit concerning. I had three glasses of awamori (Yaezakura, Tamanoi, Shirayuri), pork and bitter melon Caesar salad, assorted tempura (mozuku seaweed, Spam, purple sweet potato, island tofu, bitter melon tempura), salted island shallots, and sea grapes. Everything was delicious! I was too full to eat the pork soba, so I'll save it for next time. Thank you for the feast!

The cooking and service were mediocre at best. I have been to the main branch a few times, and the food was tastier and the service was more polite there. Considering the prices, the service at this branch did not match up. There was a strong Okinawan vibe, though.

I went to a restaurant called Okinawa Apparishan in Hirakata Ogiuchi, feeling cheerful and relaxed. I made a reservation in advance and ordered a la carte dishes in a semi-private room. The restaurant had a variety of drinks, including Okinawan specialties, Japanese sake, and soft drinks, which was reassuring. I highly recommend ordering the "sea grapes" and "rafute" dishes. The sea grapes are best enjoyed by dipping them in ponzu sauce and then mayonnaise. The rafute was flavorful and well-cooked, with no pork smell. The mozuku tempura was a bit oily for my taste, and the carrot stir-fry was more like bean sprouts than the carrot stir-fry I was familiar with. We also had taco rice and a sashimi platter. For dessert, we tried Blue Seal ice cream, which was average. We wanted to finish with steak, as is customary in Okinawa, but it was not available. The atmosphere at Okinawa Apparishan was cozy and the staff were friendly. It felt like a comfortable space similar to dining in Okinawa. There was no time limit, so we were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Overall, I was very satisfied and would love to visit again.

I love pickled radish so much. While walking, I heard the soothing Okinawan music and impulsively rushed into the restaurant just before closing. I'm sorry for coming in at the last minute, but I was really tired from work and just wanted to be healed with pickled radish and awamori. The kind waiter made me pickled radish and champuru, and I was healed by eating and drinking. I even cheekily had some ice cream too (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

There is a shop on the second floor after going up the stairs. There is a counter, tables, and semi-private seating available. On this day, I tried the island radish with meat miso sauce. The island radish was delicious, so I also ordered the island radish marinated in chili oil with garlic chips. The leftover chili oil was great for dipping shrimp and asparagus spring rolls. I also unknowingly ordered the chilled mozuku dish, similar to chilled soba noodles but with mozuku seaweed. The mozuku was firm and tasty. The goya (bitter melon) tempura was seasoned with delicate snow salt. The squid ink somen champloo was a delicious black dish with vegetables. The shikuwasa (Okinawan citrus) shochu highball was also delicious. They also have live performances, so I definitely want to visit again. It's a great place to enjoy the Okinawan atmosphere and have a meal with a group!

I was invited to a girls' gathering by some girls who are about the age of my daughter, and we visited this restaurant! I have been to the sister restaurant nearby a few times, but this was my first visit here. It was also my first time trying their course menu. Here are my thoughts on the dishes we had: - Starter: Jimami tofu - The tofu was very smooth with peanuts as an accent. - Okinawa delicacies trio: Sea grapes - I liked the popping texture. Island pickles - Crunchy and not bad! Salted fish roe - A bit fishy on top of the tofu. - Salad: It had a variety of vegetables and was full of ingredients. - Taco shell: The taste was slightly spicy and delicious, but there were few vegetables inside. - Mozuku seaweed tempura: It was chewy with snow salt sprinkled on top. - Crispy fried beautiful pork: It had many bones and a lot of fat. - Choice of champuru (stir-fry): I chose kelp based on the recommendation of the staff. It had bitter gourd, island tofu, wheat gluten, soumen noodles, squid ink soumen, goya, and carrots. - Aguu pork steamed in a steamer: The pork was sweet, and there were plenty of vegetables making it refreshing. - Rafute: It was very tender. - Dessert: Blue seal ice cream all-you-can-eat! I tried mango, coconut, sweet potato, pineapple, caramel macchiato, neopolitan, ube, chocolate, satoukibi, strawberry shortcake. I ordered various flavors, even though it was in the middle of the meal, and everyone had at least two. They were all so young and had great appetites! It was really delicious!! Thank you for the meal.
