Located about a 5-minute walk from Higobashi Station. Selected as one of the top 100 curry shops in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. They only open for lunch and have irregular holidays, so it's recommended to check their Twitter before visiting. The interior has about 15 seats, with only tables for two, so it may not be suitable for large groups. The atmosphere is dark and allows you to focus on the curry. Arrived 30 minutes before opening and there was a wait of about 10 people. Waited a total of 50 minutes before being seated as we couldn't get in on the first round. The Lamb Keema Curry is their most popular dish and it may sell out by noon if you're unlucky. It came with a side salad as well. The curry is loaded with colorful vegetables, including okra which was a pleasant surprise. The okra wasn't too slimy, so it was easy to eat. The spiciness level is 1, suitable for anyone. The lamb had no gaminess and paired well with the vegetables, making it very delicious. The onion pickles on the table had a nice texture and a hint of sweetness, serving as a good side dish. The drink was like lassi and quite sweet. All this for 1100 yen, so the cost performance seems good. They also have monthly specials that seem popular, so I'd like to try those next time.

On a hot day, I took a stroll around Higobashi looking for lunch. As it was getting too hot, I decided to enter a restaurant where there was a line of people waiting for lunch. I checked the reviews on Tabelog and it had high ratings. There were three people ahead of me in line, and I waited for about 10 minutes before entering. The interior of the restaurant had about 5 counter seats and 5 tables for 2 people each. It seemed like a popular spot for solo diners, which could lead to lines forming easily. However, they took orders while we were waiting in line, so the turnover rate was surprisingly fast. After being seated, the Chicken Curry with spiciness level x4 arrived in about 5 minutes. It didn't have a visually appealing presentation, but it looked simple and delicious. Alongside the table, there was pickled onions commonly found in Indian curry restaurants. The curry had three large pieces of chicken and two potatoes. The taste was flavorful with a good amount of spices, similar to Indian curry. In this area where there are many curry restaurants that serve dry curry like Keema Curry, this place was more like a cross between soup curry and regular curry. It was simply delicious. This was my first visit, and I ended up choosing a menu item randomly while waiting in line. I would like to try the Beef Curry next time because it caught my eye. I noticed someone ordering spiciness level x10, so it seems you can request the level of spiciness. Taste: 4.5, Ambiance: 3.5, Cost performance: 3.0, Service: 3.5, Portion size: 3.5, Menu variety: 3.0, Customer service: 3.5, Overall: 3.5

Keema curry is delicious! I've been looking for a place like this that serves Keema curry. I ordered the chilled lamb keema curry, and the chilled sauce was very refreshing with the perfect taste of tomatoes. It was a bit spicy though, so if you don't like spicy food, it might be too hot for you. But even without the sauce, the Keema curry itself is amazing! I don't need the sauce! Haha. I highly recommend it to Keema curry lovers.

Visited for the first time for lunch. After consulting with the staff, I ordered the Chicken Curry Level 4 Spicy for 1100 yen (tax included). The stylish and dimly lit atmosphere inside the restaurant is great. The spiciness is just right and the chicken pieces are plentiful and delicious. It comes with salad, side dishes, and yogurt, making it a satisfying meal. The Veggie Lamb Keema Dry Curry that many people were eating looked appetizing, so I feel like trying it next time I visit.

Arrived at the restaurant at 10:53 AM, but there was a huge line of people coming one after another, so it is recommended to line up around 11 AM. The staff came out from the store to take orders. I decided to order the most famous dish, the Veggie Lamb. The Veggie Lamb Keema arrived at 11:30 AM. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit with a slight Asian taste and background music. I sat at the counter and was served with pickled onions, chopsticks, a spoon, and napkins. The curry arrived after a 5-minute wait, with plenty of minced meat and colorful vegetables like okra and tomatoes. The curry had a mild spiciness and the lamb was tender with no gamey taste. The salad with tangy dressing and the yellow and black powder for topping were perfect accompaniments. The pickled onions were delicious and could be a side dish on their own. The lassi at the end was refreshing. The portion size was generous, so those with small appetites may want to order a smaller size. Overall, the food was delicious and I could see why it's so popular. I accidentally used the wooden spoon meant for the pickles to eat the curry, which made the staff laugh.

I went back to my parents' house and finally visited a shop in the neighborhood that I had been curious about for a long time. Since their days off are irregular, it's essential to check if they are open on X before going! I lined up 15 minutes before the 11:30 am opening on Saturday and was able to get in for the first round! The interior of the shop is dimly lit, with a calm and stylish atmosphere. There are counter seats and table seats available. I was seated at a table. There was onion pickle on the table! Each order is carefully prepared. I ordered the Veggie Lamb Keema Curry! You can choose the spiciness level and the amount of rice. I chose level 3 spiciness and normal rice amount. Even at level 3, it wasn't too spicy. Those who like it spicy might want to go for level 5. Level 3 was more of a mild medium spiciness. The Keema Curry was beautifully colorful. It came with salad and lassi. The curry had plenty of vegetables, chunks of lamb, and a great blend of spices! It was incredibly delicious. I loved it. The rice portion was normal, but it was quite filling. If you don't eat much usually, you might want to go for a smaller portion! The okra and tomato added a refreshing touch, while the spiced lamb keema stimulated the appetite. This was delicious! And all this for only 1100 yen! I was extremely satisfied. Truly the curry capital. I would love to try out other curries as well. Thank you for the meal!

I had the cold Lassam Keema - it was delicious! I got extra rice because it was so good. Waiting outside in this heat was like hell, but the food was worth it. I wish they had umbrellas for shade. The cold curry with warm rice and Keema was the perfect mix of hot and cold. So spicy and tasty!

On weekdays, you can usually get in without waiting in line, unlike on Saturdays. There are several types of curry available, but I always order the Veggie Lamb Keema. I also opt for extra rice, so it's a huge portion. The taste is consistently delicious.

I tried the Lamb Keema Dry Curry for the first time and it was really delicious! The flavor of the lamb combined with various spices was amazing. The aroma was pleasant and memorable. The spiciness level was just right at 2 (standard being 1). The dish included a variety of vegetables and the pickled onions on the table were also tasty. The mini salad consisted of green leafy vegetables with a tangy dressing. There was also a small side dish with an ethnic flavor. The complimentary drink was a lassi, equivalent to about 2 Yakult bottles. The only downside was having to wait outside for 20 minutes in the heat, which made me feel a bit sick. I would love to come back in better weather. I had planned to try the Sichuan Pepper Keema, but they had stopped dine-in service, so I bought the frozen version to take home. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Update: I tried the Sichuan Pepper Keema and it had a nice aroma with whole Sichuan peppers, but the texture was a bit off due to the peppers. Still, it was delicious. I only bought one serving, so I shared it with my family along with another retort curry. Veg Lamb Keema - 1100 for takeout, Sichuan Pepper Keema (frozen) - 1000.

This is a curry restaurant in Kyomachibori. I had the veggie lamb curry and it was amazing. It goes beyond my expectations with its delicious, not gamey lamb that is slightly sweet with a spicy seasoning. The healthy and refreshing taste of the vegetables all come together perfectly. It's worth waiting in line under the scorching sun in Osaka.

Lunch [Tabelog Curry WEST Top 100 Stores 2022]
■ Veggie Lamb Keema ¥1,100 (tax included)
One of the popular curry shops in Osaka, "Ghar". Among the unique spice curry shops in Osaka, this is a popular shop known for its Keema curry. I had wanted to visit this shop when I was in Osaka before, but I couldn't because of the long line. This time, I finally got my revenge. I visited around 12:45 on a weekday and had to wait for about 25 minutes in the scorching heat before I could enter the shop. While waiting in line, they asked for my order. The curry comes in four types, with the spiciness level indicated by a chili mark and a number. You can also increase the spiciness of the curry. I ordered the popular "Veggie Lamb Keema" and requested the default spiciness level. The curry arrived in about 5-6 minutes. The owner trained at "Delhi" in Ueno, Tokyo, but the approach is quite different. This Keema curry is full of originality. It is a dry type curry with minced lamb meat topped with colorful vegetables. The lamb meat is juicy and flavorful, filled with spices. It has a strong impact but is also accented by fresh vegetables like okra, tomato, and shiso. The combination with the vegetables is great, making it hard to stop eating. The pickled onions on the table are delicious as well, and they go perfectly with the Keema. By the way, even though I ordered a smaller portion of rice this time, it was still a decent amount. If you're not confident in your eating capacity, it's best to order a smaller portion.

I was imagining the so-called spice curry that is common in Osaka, but it was different than I expected. This curry had a tomato base with a hint of sourness. Honestly, my first impression after the first bite was that it was just a normal curry. However, as I mixed it, the spices that had settled at the bottom started to come through, making it more and more delicious. It's a type of curry that is not very spicy and has a subtle flavor. The coconut-rich achaar and the onion pickle on the table were nice accents. Even though the portion was small, it came with lassi, which was a good deal. Most people around me were ordering the lamb keema, so I would like to try that next time.

Located near Osaka's Utsubo Park in Kyomachibori, Ghar is a popular curry restaurant known for its flavorful and addictive dishes. Despite its simple appearance, the spices used in their curry are very potent, making it a favorite among both men and women. The restaurant is always crowded with people seeking out this unique taste, so be prepared to wait in line, especially during the summer months.
On a hot weekday afternoon in July, I visited Ghar and had to wait in line for about 15-20 minutes before being seated. The ordering process was smooth and efficient, with the curry being served promptly after I was seated. I ordered the "Chicken Tikka Curry" which was priced at 1,000 yen and had a spice level of 4. The curry was flavorful and had a slow-building spiciness that was not overpowering.
In addition to the curry, the meal also included a refreshing salad, a coconut coleslaw-like side dish, and a creamy lassi drink. The curry itself was served with separate rice and pickled onions on the side. The curry was rich in spices and had a good balance of flavors, with tender chunks of chicken and potatoes adding to the overall enjoyment of the dish.
Overall, Ghar's curry was highly enjoyable, with a depth of flavor that set it apart from other curry restaurants. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and inviting. I would recommend visiting Ghar for a unique and delicious curry experience.

Ordered:
- Veggie Lamb Keema: 1,100 yen
- Gyuh Beef Curry: 1,100 yen
Even on a weekday, there was a long line in front of the restaurant, and we waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. The interior was dimly lit, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere for a curry restaurant. We were worried if we would be able to get the Veggie Lamb Keema we wanted since we arrived after the opening time, but luckily we got it. The Veggie Lamb Keema had a rich flavor without any overpowering taste, and the spiciness level was just right even for those who don't like it too spicy. The combination of the flavorful keema and summer vegetables was surprisingly harmonious and delicious. The Gyuh Beef Curry had a hint of sweetness likely from the onions and the richness of the beef, giving it a European curry-like taste. It might be perfect for those who are not good with spicy food. Both dishes were very tasty, but personally, I prefer the complex spice flavors and unique watery curry of Osaka Spice Curry. Additionally, the generous portion sizes and reasonable prices made it a great deal. The rice portion was also larger than usual, almost like a large serving at other restaurants. The service was very polite and attentive. With great food, prices, service, and ambiance, this restaurant is highly recommended.

There was already a line forming before the store even opened. I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I decided to have the Gyudon Beef Curry (without changing the spiciness level). I thought the beef flavor might be too strong for me (since I don't like it), but it turned out to be really delicious. It wasn't very spicy, so I wouldn't have minded if it was a bit spicier. The taste was more like Hayashi Curry than traditional curry. The flavor of the onions was also really wonderful. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Ghar for the first time. I ordered the Veg Kheema. It wasn't too spicy and paired well with the vegetables. The lamb flavor was not overpowering and delicious. The salad and lassi were also tasty. Thank you for the meal.

During my visit to Osaka, I visited this restaurant. When I arrived, it was before opening hours, but there were already over 30 people waiting in line, with a wait time of one hour. It was a cloudy day, so it wasn't too bad, but it would have been tough on a scorching hot day. The restaurant has table and counter seating. After being seated, the food arrived in about 15 minutes. I ordered the Veggie Lamb Keema (with less rice) and an Iced Chai. The Veggie Lamb Keema was visually appealing, topped with summer vegetables like shiso, okra, and diced tomatoes. The lamb keema had a crunchy texture from whole spices and a delightful aroma. Despite the challenge of waiting in the scorching heat, it was a memorable experience. Thank you for the meal!
