I heard there is a great yakitori restaurant in Shinjuku, so I went to check it out! The building in Shinjuku Sanchome was a bit intimidating, but the interior of the restaurant was stylish and chic. The chicken logo looked cool! They also seemed to focus on wine, which was a nice surprise. I toasted with a glass of Chablis. The appetizers included sweet shrimp salted roe, chicken tsukune, pickled zucchini, and avocado canapé. Now, let's dig into the yakitori! The chicken breast was juicy and flavorful, with a good amount of fat. It was really delicious! The "chouchin" was rich and flavorful, with a burst of flavors in every bite. The "padron" peppers were spicy, but the rest of the dishes were tender, sweet, and delicious. The quail eggs wrapped in seaweed and black sesame were a delight. The negima skewers with Awaodori chicken thigh were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The minced chicken skewers had been aged for a week and had a refreshing taste. The tsukune with cartilage and perilla leaves were light and flavorful. The chicken soup rice bowl had a rich chicken broth with a hint of bonito. The grated wasabi added a nice kick. Despite its hidden location, the restaurant was almost full even on a weekday. Good restaurants spread the word quickly! I was very satisfied with the delicious yakitori and the lovely atmosphere.

Yakitori was delicious! Personally, I especially enjoyed the negima skewers. We ordered a course meal this time, and the speed of service and explanations of the dishes were clear and polite, making it a pleasant experience. The highlight for me was the clay pot rice, which was incredibly tasty. On the second visit for a female companion's birthday celebration, the menu featured dishes such as Hie fresh yuba with sea urchin sauce, spicy quail egg soy sauce pickles, grilled white asparagus, Hie jumbo mushroom escargot with butter, red sugar tomato skewers, skewers (skin, truffle-coated lanterns, liver), Ibaraki grilled young corn, Kyoto grilled Man'yoji chili peppers, and an a la carte with 4 pieces of foie gras and liver pate bucket served with white wine Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru for a toast. To finish off, we enjoyed the signature dish of truffle and foie gras clay pot rice with Parmesan cheese. This time, the menu was quite luxurious and very delicious!

I was very satisfied with the delicious negima and great cost performance at this restaurant. It is recommended to go early or make a reservation as it tends to get crowded on the day. The combination of sake "94" and yakitori was excellent. This restaurant offers a taste close to that of a famous restaurant at a reasonable price. It is truly amazing.

I visited Torimi-an. This yakitori restaurant is very popular and reservations are a must. It was full when I went. There are counter seats and table seats, and I sat at a table. The table seats allow smoking. The tables are not too close together and there are partitions, so the smoke didn't bother me too much. As a non-smoker, I prefer non-smoking, but it was fine. I had a lemon sour and some appetizers. I ordered chicken skewers with leek, shiitake mushrooms, and minced chicken (with egg yolk). My favorite was the leek skewers. The meat was wrapped in leeks and then in chicken skin and grilled. The flavors were quite strong overall. The sauce and salt were left up to the chef. They seem to be open late, so I would definitely visit again.

I was drawn to visit this restaurant for their foie gras truffle rice. It takes time to make, so I ordered it first and enjoyed some skewers and drinks while waiting. The best dish of the day for me was the juicy and tender chicken breast skewers. The liver was also rich and creamy, making my mouth happy. The white liver and foie gras pate, as well as the chicken breast sashimi topped with sea urchin, were all delicious. When the foie gras rice finally arrived, it was not as foie gras-flavored as I had hoped, but the generous truffle aroma and the piping hot rice in the clay pot made it well worth the price. Since it's close to my workplace, I will definitely come back when I crave yakitori again.
