You may be surprised at first by the underground shop with an entrance that requires you to squat to enter. Once inside, you'll find it packed, so it's recommended to make a reservation. The dishes include potato salad, mentaiko rolled omelette, tsukune, nikudofu, ponjiri, negima, mochi skewers, and we received a complimentary sand liver with green onion salt sauce during a seat change! For drinks, we had draft beer, lemon sour, grapefruit sour, sake, and plum wine. The total cost for two people was around 8500 yen. The only regret was not being able to eat the chicken zosui as it lacked broth. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited the yakitori izakaya "Fukumimi Hanare" in Shinjuku. It is located near Fukumimi Shinjuku, with the Hanare offering a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the lively Shinjuku branch. The best part about this place is that the crackers served as a complimentary starter are free for refills! When I went with a friend, we ended up getting refills about 3-4 times, haha. The yakitori is delicious and reasonably priced, making it a great value for money.

Simple yakitori is of course delicious, but the variety of other bird dishes is also interesting. It's fun to choose from. My favorite is the tsukune tare. Coarsely ground meat with crunchy cartilage. It's very satisfying! The staff with a sports-like cheer, as well as the lively customers, make for a fun and lively atmosphere. When you want to eat yakitori but don't want a chain restaurant, and traditional places seem intimidating, this place seems convenient. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

I was able to secure a reservation at Hanare Fukumimi, a restaurant that was hard to book. The cost performance is average, the food is delicious but nothing extraordinary, and the bill may be a bit higher than expected. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and not too noisy, making it a good choice for those who want to avoid a bustling environment. Overall, I found the food better than other izakaya chains. (Note: Personal opinion)

At the end-of-year forget-year party season on a Friday, we were saved after struggling to find a place last minute. We were confused at the entrance. The sign said "basement," so we went down the stairs... is this the entrance? It was indeed the entrance! If the staff hadn't called out to us, we might have turned back. There were still 2-3 seats available, but they quickly filled up after we arrived. The fact that they only had Malt's beer was a bit disappointing, but the menu looked delicious! We ordered a variety of dishes and eagerly waited. The complimentary cream cheese crackers were refillable, which was a big plus. The recommended ultra-creamy liver was delicious, especially with the scallion sauce! The skewers were a bit small for the price, but all of them were tasty! We had been drinking beer the whole time, so the bill was reasonable. We later switched to the refillable roasted tea highball, which was a good value for money. The food was all delicious, the atmosphere was lively but not too noisy. This is a great place to enjoy some delicious yakitori in a slightly more relaxed setting. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the new branch of my favorite restaurant, Fukumimi no Hanare, and it was great! The atmosphere was different from the main store, but I liked the cozy feeling. The entrance was unique and memorable. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) were delicious and exceeded my expectations. All the dishes I tried were of high quality. The staff, especially the manager, were attentive and impressive. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) were even better than the main store, probably due to the different chef. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely go back!

I used to love going to the main store of Fukumimi, but they opened a branch without me noticing. I decided to try it out for lunch. They offered chicken soba or a parent and child rice bowl made with Hinai-jidori chicken. Hinai-jidori chicken is truly delicious, right? There are three famous types of jidori chicken: Hinai, Nagoya, and Satsuma, but my personal favorite is Miyazaki. The tender yet firm texture is addictive. Of course, I also love Hinai-jidori chicken! The flavor that comes from being raised freely and carefully is amazing. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. So, I was set on choosing Hinai-jidori chicken, but then tragedy struck. They were sold out. However, they said they could make it with regular domestic chicken, so I decided to go with that. They even lowered the price by 500 yen. My excitement was dampened a bit, but the dish made with regular chicken was incredibly delicious! The combination of the yolk and sauce was perfect, and it really showcased the high level of this restaurant. While ingredients are important, perhaps the most crucial factor is the skill of the chef. I definitely want to come back soon for the Hinai-jidori chicken. Also, the atmosphere is great, so I will consider this place as a top choice for our next drinking session in Sanchome!

- Overall:
- Unlike the main store, this place has a cozy, hidden atmosphere.
- There are both counter and tatami seating.
- The entrance is quite small, so be careful.
- You can enjoy reasonably priced, high-quality yakitori.
- When it gets crowded, the food service may be a bit slow.
- Even with kids, we were treated politely and left very satisfied. We plan to go back.
- Food:
- "Niku Dofu" (¥580): 3.9
- Large tofu soaked in a sweet and savory sauce, very satisfying and highly recommended.
- Complimentary appetizer: Apple cream cheese & crackers
- You can ask for more crackers.
- The sweetness of the apple adds a nice touch to the delicious dish. It's unusual but tasty.
- Yakitori: 3.8
- Tried various types like thigh cartilage, thigh meat, plum shiso chicken, wing tips, tail, heart, neck, and scallion in between.
- All were delicious with a good size, juicy texture, and priced mainly between ¥160-¥190.
- The tsukune was rustic and meaty.
- "Yaki Onigiri" (¥200): 4.2
- Crispy, well-cooked with a flavorful and fragrant taste, surprisingly large and thoroughly flavored.
- The rice inside is well-infused.
- Takes time but the effort is worth it, delicious and satisfying for the price.

Four friends entered a restaurant offering a 2-hour all-you-can-drink course for 4,400 yen. The beer was delicious, and for the price in Shinjuku, it seemed like a good deal. However, even though it was a yakitori restaurant, they only served 2-3 skewers per person. We won't be visiting again.

I visited Hanare in Sancho-me Fukumimi this time, and was able to make a reservation. The skewers were delicious as always, maybe a bit too delicious as I ended up eating too much. However, I noticed two things that concerned me. The slight step down when going downstairs and the two-step counter. I couldn't help but worry if no one has ever fallen down the stairs before. I also kept bumping into the counter a few times. Another thing is that compared to the main branch, this location is smaller, so if you speak loudly like at the main branch, it can be a bit too noisy. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly, the dishes were served promptly, and the taste was satisfying.

Bending down to enter the shop with a feeling of difficulty, I had high expectations for a shop with a hard-to-enter entrance due to my prejudice! (laughs) I entered the shop feeling confident and looked around, finding the atmosphere to be great. I immediately toasted with a beer. The staff led the way and created a lively atmosphere. There were 8 men in our group for a year-end party, and we had a great time. We ordered a course meal, but found the portion to be a bit small, so we added some items a la carte. If the course had a bit more volume, we would have been completely satisfied. We were seated near the entrance and it was quite cold because the door was left open often.

I used this restaurant for the first time. The staff were friendly, the crackers they served were delicious, and the tsukune (meatballs) had a great reputation. I think this restaurant is rare in this area. I would like to use it for the next meeting!

The restaurant specializes in yakitori and it was delicious. We were seated in the back in a sunken kotatsu table, which felt a bit cramped.

The narrow entrance gives a hidden gem vibe, which is great. It feels like a slightly adult date spot, but the cost performance is also good.

The restaurant has a low rating on Tabelog but a high rating on Google Maps. The food is indeed delicious. However, there are few waitstaff so drinks may come slowly.
