Cool standing bar with bottled beer and spicy salad dumplings. All drinks are cheap here. The spicy salad dumplings are served in bulk from a bag, making them affordable. The dumplings were delicious and well-cooked. I wonder where they get them from? The owner and regular customers are friendly and welcoming, making it easy to strike up a conversation even for first-timers. The shop has a cozy atmosphere and is not lonely even for solo diners. The owner's extensive knowledge and passion for NHK historical dramas was impressive. It was evident that they really love what they do.

I confirmed by phone at Osaka Metro Ⓜ️ Kujo Station and headed to this place. They have a two-part system with the morning session from 11:00 to 14:00. The interior of the store is filled with history and tradition. It has an old but clean atmosphere that suits it well. The owner manages the place alone and I ordered a sweet potato shochu. I enjoyed it with some cucumber pickles on the counter and slowly started drinking. The "chit-chat time" with the owner began and I listened to stories about the past and present of the bar. I have nothing but respect for his deep knowledge and experience. It was just before the end of the morning session, but I received a small lucky charm unique to Noges.

If you watch a movie at Cine Nouveau and feel like having a drink right after, this is the place to go. It's open from noon, which is convenient. This is a backlog from July 2022 when I was slacking off on updates. They have Kirin Lager bottles, which is great. The ashtrays are also a nice touch. It had been a while since I last visited, but I'm glad to see it's still going strong. My last post was in 2019, but it's not like I haven't been back since then. These kinds of places don't change much, so there's no need to update multiple times. And yeah, it's wonderful that there hasn't been much change. Thank you for staying the same.

After watching a movie at Cine Nouveau, I stopped by "Yasui Saketen," a cozy standing bar where you can enjoy a drink. Located just off the arcade street in Kujo, it has a charming atmosphere. The interior is nicely cluttered and cozy. Although the spaces are connected, the standing drinking area is somewhat separated, giving more of a feeling of a standing bar run by a liquor store rather than a traditional standing bar. Both the owner and the customers seemed calm and friendly. They have Kirin Lager bottles and smoking is allowed, which is a plus. They also offer a variety of snacks other than dried goods. They don't stay open too late.

I came to this shop after feeling a bit unsatisfied with the previous one. This shop is a liquor store located on a side street off the Kyujo shopping street in Osaka. I visited around 8 pm on a weekday and it was about half full with regular customers. We had two shochu hot water drinks (around 300 yen each), negi ponzu chicken tsukune (120 yen), and sabazushi (250 yen), totaling 970 yen. The prices of alcohol were not listed, so I estimated. The chicken tsukune was made by heating up store-bought tsukune and topping it with green onions and ponzu sauce. The sabazushi was made by cutting store-bought cured mackerel and arranging it. Even if purchased normally, it would cost around the same amount, so I think it's quite affordable. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

I went to Yasui Saketen, a standing bar located on a street one block west of Kujyo Shopping Street in Kyoto. When I entered the shop, the owner asked if it was okay to stay until 8:30 pm, but I arrived at 8:00 pm so I said it was fine. I started with a chu-hi (price unknown) which was delicious here. Maybe it was draft chu-hi? I enjoyed it with some thick fried tofu and gobō tempura. I ordered another chu-hi while snacking on umeboshi kelp, which had a refreshing sour taste. The total bill was only 860 yen, which was quite cheap for a standing bar. I love the atmosphere and prices at liquor stores' standing bars.
