This shop opens at 8:00 am. I arrived a little after 8:00 am on this day. They had some standard onigiri already made. They also offer soba dishes with various toppings and fried foods. Perfect for those who want a hearty breakfast. I ordered a tarako (cod roe) and cheese onigiri for 500 yen. They prepared it after I placed my order. I also got one piece of zangi (fried chicken) and a half-boiled egg tempura. I enjoyed my breakfast while watching the airplanes. Eating is also a fun part of strolling around the airport. The food court had a cozy and pleasant atmosphere for breakfast. I visited in September 2023.

In Sapporo, I always end up wanting onigiri and pork miso soup for some reason. This morning, I went to the food court at Chitose Airport. Each onigiri costs over 300 yen, but they are quite filling. When paired with the pork miso soup, it becomes a reasonably luxurious meal. The set with a salad for 990 yen seems like a good deal. I probably won't be able to eat lunch today because I am so full. They also have a good selection of soba noodles that really hit the spot for Japanese stomachs.

I visited the New Chitose Airport Theater and then used the restaurant. When visiting New Chitose Airport by car, I always check the parking situation beforehand. There are currently three parking lots, but before the C parking lot was built, the parking lots were always full, with cars waiting in line at the entrances. The movie started at 11:10, so I watched it while eating popcorn, but it didn't really fill me up (lol). The movie was a long one, almost three hours, so by the time the free parking for three hours was over, I decided to have lunch at a restaurant inside the airport. It was a bit of an odd time, 14:00, so I opted for a light meal. There were several soba options, each available in small, regular, or large sizes. I thought the small size wouldn't be enough, so I ordered a regular size hot soba and an egg yolk soy sauce marinated rice ball. This restaurant makes the rice balls to order and doesn't boil fresh noodles for the soba, so it doesn't take long. You don't even need to get an electronic buzzer, you just pick up your order and take it to your seat. The soba noodles were thin and not sticky, which was good. As for the rice ball, I prefer when the filling is not visible, but here the filling was partly visible, which was nice. The egg yolk soy sauce marinated rice ball tasted just like I imagined, like a soy sauce-drizzled egg rice bowl, and it was delicious. Plus, most of the filling was inside the rice ball, which was great. It seems like they make the rice balls here like sandwiches. The price was a bit high at 390 yen, but it was quite large and decent for an airport restaurant.

There is a shop located in the food court on the 3rd floor of New Chitose Airport Terminal. They open early in the morning, so I used it for breakfast before my flight. They offer onigiri, soba, and various side dishes, but it seems that many people come for the onigiri. This time, I purchased the "Salt Onigiri (220 yen)" and "Salmon Onigiri (360 yen)", "Pork Miso Soup (480 yen)", and side dishes "Baron Croquette (120 yen)" and "Zangi (150 yen)". The size of the onigiri is large and satisfying to eat. Since they were pre-made, they were not piping hot, but the rice itself was delicious. The pork miso soup was hearty with plenty of ingredients, and the croquette and zangi were also tasty. However, the prices were a bit high due to airport pricing. They open in the morning and offer a wide variety of onigiri, so I think it's good for breakfast.

I went to the airport to see off my daughter who was visiting home. She was hungover and had no appetite. I bought her some pork soup and rice balls. I also got some pickled plums for her to take with her, and salmon for us to enjoy at home. It's a bit pricey, but the salmon rice bowl was delicious with plenty of salmon. Pickled plums - 330 yen, salmon - 360 yen, pork soup - 480 yen. Thank you for the meal!

Before returning to Tokushima on August 8, 2023, I bought souvenirs and had lunch with the remaining time. I didn't have much time, so I decided to grab a quick bite at the food court. I tried the Kazunoko, Ikura, Mentaiko, and Tonjiru. The staff warmly handed me the food, and the seasoning was just right. It was comforting. The 5-night, 6-day trip flew by, and I felt a bit sad to leave Hokkaido, but I promised myself to visit again while eating.

There are so many dining options at New Chitose Airport that it's hard to choose. This is a restaurant located in the food court on the third floor. I wasn't very hungry because I had a late lunch. But I felt like having a snack. This place is perfect for when you're feeling a bit peckish. Plus, the view is great! You can see the planes taking off and landing right in front of you. The rice balls are made fresh after you order them. They are big and filling. And the white rice is delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I went to see someone off at New Chitose Airport and decided to grab a light meal at the food court. Last time I had Matsuo Genghis Khan, so this time I went to the neighboring "Ginshari Hokkaido" shop. They had tempura lined up at the counter, where you can select your own and then order the main noodles. Since there was no one in line, I ended up ordering "chikuwa tempura + kitsune soba" at the register. The staff took the tempura from the counter and served it to me. The soba had a dark color and a good chewy texture, but I couldn't quite figure out the flavor. The sweet and savory broth could have been a bit sweeter for my taste, but the saltiness was just right and I had no problem finishing it. After finishing my meal and looking at the receipt, I wondered why the shop was called "Ginshari." When I looked at the menu again as I was leaving, I realized that it seems to be a shop mainly focused on onigiri. Sorry about that... I'll try the onigiri next time!

I arrived at Chitose Airport for an early business trip. I felt that it would be too late to eat after arriving, so even though I wasn't very hungry, I decided to have an early dinner. Since most places were quite crowded, I moved to the food court and went to Ginyashari Hokkaido. Today, I wasn't very hungry due to the heat, so I decided to just have soba noodles, ordering kake soba and tempura of spring vegetables. Hmm, the soba noodles didn't look very high quality, but I accepted it since it was at the airport. The shop mainly serves onigiri rice balls, so it was understandable. However, the quality of the soba noodles was not as good as I had expected. It was even inferior to some good standing eateries. Well, I accepted it as airport food.

Today's breakfast was at Ginshari Hokkaido, where I had a salmon onigiri for 360 yen. I also tried the kombu for 300 yen and the clam and ginger soup for 400 yen. I ordered the onigiri at the Chitose Airport before flying to Fukuoka, and they made it fresh on the spot. The onigiri was quite large and filled with plenty of ingredients, especially the kombu which was delicious.

Hokkaido Sammai for 460 yen (with cod roe, scallop, and salmon). It's about 1.5 times the size of a convenience store onigiri and is freshly made on the spot. It's not exceptionally delicious, but the scallop simmered in soy sauce was pleasantly sweet and tasty. Recommended for satisfying a small hunger.

I visited "Ginshari Hokkaido" on May 23rd for the first time. I had visited New Chitose Airport two weeks ago, but it was very crowded during Golden Week, so I had skipped the food and beverage outlets. This is a newly opened store during the pandemic. I arrived at 12:40 pm. From the name "Ginshari," I could imagine that it was a shop specializing in rice items, but soba was also a main item on the menu. You choose pre-made onigiri from the counter and then order soba at the register. I ended up getting two onigiri and also ordering soba. The total came to 1290 yen. The onigiri were individually packaged in plastic cases, making them easy to take out. The items I purchased were: - Onigiri (okaka) 320 yen - Onigiri (kombu) 300 yen - Zangi (fried chicken) 150 yen - Tororo soba (small) 520 yen The prices were a bit high, probably due to the airport setting. They also had onigiri with Hokkaido items like salmon roe, dried salmon, and herring, but I decided to pass on those this time. Personally, I think the dried salmon onigiri is amazing, but it may not be the best value here. I tried the onigiri (kombu) and found the rice texture to be good. I took the okaka onigiri to go. The Zangi was average in taste, and a bit pricey. The Tororo soba had grated yam and seaweed on top. The soba had black specks in it, maybe ground grains? Considering the serving time, I think it's at the level of station soba, but the texture was quite good. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to work in Hokkaido and stopped by New Chitose to have lunch before heading out. It was crowded everywhere, so I opted for the food court. The food court was also busy, but I managed to find a seat. It was similar to a popular onigiri shop, where you can choose from various fillings to create a large onigiri. They had pre-made ones, but you could also order one to be made for you if you didn't see what you wanted. The sizes were big, so the prices seemed a bit high, but once you see the real thing, it's worth it. I tried the Salmon and Salmon Roe, Chicken and Soy-marinated Egg Yolk, and Mentaiko Cheese. They were all delicious, but I think 1 to 1.5 pieces would be enough for women, maybe up to 2 for men.

I had this when departing from the airport. Onigiri... it's expensive, surprising. It's delicious though. Can't really use it for everyday meals. Well, it's at the airport so I wouldn't use it for everyday meals anyway haha. The pork miso soup had a lot of volume, I was surprised. The taste is really delicious but unfortunately it was lukewarm. I drank it right away too. This is not good. It's a cold January. It's not cheap at all. If it was hot, the pork miso soup would have been even more delicious. What a waste. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on December 2, 2022, before my trip to Ishigaki. It's a perfect spot for a pick-me-up before traveling - located inside the New Chitose Airport food court, you can find "Gin Shari Hokkaido" where you can enjoy onigiri, soba, and tempura. It's great for a quick breakfast before catching an early flight. Since I don't have a rental car this time, I'm starting my day with a beer (laughs). Today, I had some tempura as beer snacks - shungiku (edible chrysanthemum) tempura, half-boiled egg tempura, chikuwa (tube-shaped fish paste) tempura, and zangi (fried chicken). It's a happy feeling to be able to drink in the morning, but also feeling a bit guilty for some reason (laughs). Off I go, thanks for the meal!

New Chitose Airport to Ibaraki Airport, taking off on the 9:00 am flight. Since it's morning, all ramen shops are closed. Only a few shops in the food court are open. One of them is a rice ball specialty shop called "Ginshari". It opened in February 2021 and uses a Hokkaido-grown rice called "Fukkurinko". The operation is by a company called Ku-han in Tomisato, Chiba Prefecture. The menu is displayed on a large lantern-shaped board, with rice balls being the main attraction. They offer a variety of fillings. They also serve soba, using Hokkaido buckwheat flour. The menu includes soba dishes with different toppings, as well as sets with rice balls, salad, and miso soup. There is even a set with Zangi (deep-fried chicken) and beer. I decided to try the soba, specifically the "Hanamaki Soba" with a side of tempura. The soba had a unique flavor due to the nori seaweed sprinkled on top. The broth was sweet and savory, and the soba noodles had a chewy texture. The tempura was crispy and delicious. Overall, the combination of flavors and aromas from the nori seaweed and spring chrysanthemum tempura made for a delightful meal.

Today, I decided to have onigiri and tonjiru separately instead of as a set. I chose the Hokkai Sanmai, which includes salmon, cod roe, and scallop onigiri. The salmon portion was generous and very delicious. The tonjiru was freshly fried and juicy, making it very tasty. The restaurant has a self-service style where customers help themselves to items like fried food using tongs. Unfortunately, some customers lack manners, such as putting back items on the plate or walking around with tongs while chatting. Even some senior customers seem to forget their manners when there are four of them together. It's a shame.

It's been a while since I visited the New Chitose Airport food court. This place is like a combination of a rice ball shop and a standing soba noodle shop. I ordered a small bowl of soba for 300 yen and a spring chrysanthemum tempura for 160 yen. Strangely, the total payment was 360 yen without tax... it seems to be discounted. Is it because it's a set? But there was no indication on the menu... well, it's fine. Oh! Looking at the reviews, I noticed that the nationally renowned soba reviewer Shiishishi also ordered the exact same thing and left a review! It seems we both like spring chrysanthemum... we understand each other... haha. The soba noodles seem to be frozen, and the dipping sauce is likely diluted for commercial use. The soba is casual and the soup is not overpowering, which is not bad for this kind of establishment. However, the spring chrysanthemum tempura was as hard as a demon's club, difficult to cut with chopsticks, too big to chew... and the oil wasn't drained well, so I gave up after a few bites. Well, I had a feeling when I picked it up, so I'll just accept it. The convenience is nice, though.

Since last year, I have ordered the same thing and it never disappoints. The salad and miso soup both have plenty of vegetables, making it a satisfying meal. The mentaiko is packed inside, reaching every corner. Even though I'm not a big eater, it's rolled softly all the way to the edges, making it delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Before boarding, I stopped by this place. There were a few people waiting for their dishes in front of the register. I decided to go for tempura, but the price difference between shrimp tempura and spring chrysanthemum tempura was small. I thought I could get more value by choosing shrimp or chikuwa... I decided on the spring chrysanthemum tempura and lifted it with tongs... and it was surprisingly heavy. It might be easier to handle and eat if it was a bit smaller. Ordered a small size soba for ¥360 and spring chrysanthemum tempura for ¥160. They cooked it right away and it was served in less than a minute. A small bowl of sweet broth and crispy soba noodles. It's probably meant to be eaten with rice balls as a side dish. Then came the heavy and crunchy spring chrysanthemum tempura. It takes quite a while for the small soba noodles to mix with the broth, and it seems like all the broth will be absorbed. It was so hard that it was difficult to eat it in small portions. I had to break it apart by flipping the tempura in the bowl multiple times. Quick and convenient service, affordable prices. Thank you for the meal.
