Along the Murasaki River, a new shop opened in October 2021 where MOON BEAMS used to be. As a motorcycle enthusiast, I was eagerly waiting for the reopening, so I was a bit sad to see the new shop, but I thought that if it's a good place, there is some relief. I went to check it out immediately. If you cut through the terrace area of Tully's towards the Quest direction, you will find it right away, but it is very hard to find from the road between Izutsuya. In fact, you can't see it at all (^_^;) You enter through a gate with a sign for Kyushu no Utage, but there is no middle door, so you suddenly come out in front of the order counter, which makes both the staff and yourself go "huh!" for a moment (laughs). It's natural to enter from the riverside, but if you follow the arrow that says "ORDER HERE" and go to the right, you will be pushed out towards Izutsuya, so be careful (laughs). The entrance is right next to this standing sign. There are 3 terrace seats and a standing counter inside the store. The main menu includes coffee, lattes, ginger ale, lemonade, sandwiches, and alcohol. They don't focus much on tea-based drinks, as I could tell from their official Instagram, so I ordered the recommended Honey Milk Latte. The Honey Milk Latte is only available hot. The temperature has dropped rapidly in the past few days, and it was chilly even during the day, so I wanted to warm up with a hot latte, so no problem (*^∀^*) I placed my order and payment first, and they brought it to my seat. The cushions on the terrace seats are quite firm and comfortable to sit on! I stretched my back for a few seconds and relaxed a bit (laughs). It's bright on the river side, but if it's not the time when the sun shines from the River Walk side, it's just the right amount of shade and comfortable to spend time there. However, there are no chairs other than the terrace seats, so it's okay for now, but I wonder what they will do in the middle of winter? I thought as I waited a little and was served the latte as cute as I had seen on Instagram♪( *´艸) I was expecting both it to be Instagram-worthy and delicious, so I started drinking it, but... it's lukewarm! (><) I hadn't even finished drinking it within 10 seconds of being served, and it was lukewarm (sweat). It's not a moderate warmth that you can sip, but it's lukewarm enough for someone like me with a sensitive palate to drink it all at once (;^∀^) While I was surprised by the combination of rose petals, the taste also came rushing in with a slightly acidic taste and aroma of roses at the same time, not quite harmonizing. Taste is subjective, so there is a possibility that all the staff thought "Delicious! Perfect!" and passed it, but the thought that maybe they didn't actually taste it also surfaced in my mind. The hot chocolate with dried raspberries on top appeared at Hako Cafe last year, and I thought it was delicious, and sweet cakes with sour fruits on top are common, so it's not necessarily that sweet × sour doesn't go well together. Or maybe it would have been better with something like dried raspberries that look similar? There is no spoon, so I can't remove it. While there is a high possibility that other menu items are delicious, I can't give a definitive low rating, but I hope they improve the temperature of the drinks. With it being lukewarm, I can't order a hot drink. There are no napkins or spoons, and it doesn't meet the requirements for drinking in. The location is very nice and I like it, and the taste depends on personal preference, but the temperature of the drinks must be improved. With this, you can't warm up at all, so I can't order hot drinks. If they had opened in the summer and I had been drinking cold drinks, I might have thought it was a good shop.
