This time it's a takeout restaurant. As a meat lover, I often have yakiniku at home. A few years ago, I used to buy meat from the supermarket's meat section for yakiniku, but it felt unsatisfying, so I asked my friends and found out that buying meat from a butcher shop was more popular around me. Taking various opinions into account, I have been purchasing meat recently from Marukita Sohonten, located on the border between Sakai City Kita Ward and Matsubara. There is a spacious parking lot in front of the store, making it convenient. I parked my car in the parking lot and entered the store. Inside the spacious store, a large showcase displays a variety of cuts of delicious meat. Today, I want to have yakiniku with a light flavor of lemon juice, so I started with the pork belly. The pack is filled with plenty of pork belly (200g) and costs only 500 yen per pack, with salt and pepper included. Next is our household favorite, thick-cut beef tongue. The beef tongue is cut thicker than what you would find at a supermarket, and when seared quickly over high heat to a slightly rare state, it tastes incredibly delicious. Our family is addicted to this thick-cut beef tongue. The pack contains a generous amount (200g) of beef tongue and costs only 1000 yen, with salt and pepper included. It's cheap! Next, for a great accompaniment to drinks, I also bought the doteyaki (750 yen), which is incredibly delicious. Doteyaki is packed in vacuum-sealed packaging, so it can be stored for a while, making it convenient. The store also offers a variety of other cuts such as loin, belly, harami, and kalbi. Especially, the selection of offal is amazing, with options like oil offal, tendon meat, teppanyaki, and honeycomb tripe. There are many groups that buy a large amount for BBQ near the nearby Oizumi Green Park. The "thick-cut beef tongue" here is definitely worth driving to buy. "It was delicious. Thank you for the meal."
