After finishing work, I visited a takeout yakitori restaurant called "En Room Torihira" in Ishikari that I had been curious about for some time. The restaurant was busy with many customers waiting, and there was only one owner managing everything. I placed my order for "pork @100," "chicken @100," "skin @100," and "gizzard @100," two skewers each. I left the restaurant and returned 40 minutes later to pick up my order, which was neatly packed in a bag on the table. The prices were reasonable, and although the portion sizes were not large, the seasoning was well-balanced and the quality of the meat was decent. Given the popularity of the place, it might be a good idea for the owner to consider hiring more staff and adding more grills to meet the demand. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

It was close to 9 pm on a weekend night when I visited a takeout-only yakitori shop. They are open from 5 pm until midnight (11 pm on Sundays). This was my first time visiting. They offer a variety of yakitori such as chicken skewers, pork skewers, and meatballs, as well as more adventurous options like cartilage, chicken liver, hormone, and fatty tuna. Prices range from $0.90 to $1.20 per skewer, which is quite reasonable. I liked that they cook the skewers fresh to order, not pre-made. On this visit, I ordered chicken skewers ($0.90), pork skewers ($1.00), meatballs ($1.00), and half-fried young chicken ($5.50). They told me they would bring the food to my car once it was ready, so I waited in my car. The yakitori was decent for the price, but what stood out was the hot and delicious half-fried young chicken. It was a tasty and affordable option. If you call ahead to place your order, they will have it ready for you when you arrive, making it a convenient choice for a home drinking session with friends if you live nearby.

This is a takeout-only yakitori restaurant located on the grounds of the Ishikari Taste Clock Tower. The prices are cheap, and you can make a reservation by phone, so I often call ahead on my way home from work. The taste is average, but considering the price, it might be better than going to a certain yakitori restaurant in Ishikari City (lol). I recommend the motsu (offal) and seseri (chicken neck). They are well-prepared. The liver may be slightly overcooked for takeout, but it's understandable. You can request for the salt and pepper to be sprinkled on more heavily if you prefer. Give it a try.

On April 7, 2021, I ordered takeout yakitori from a restaurant on Ishikari Teine Street for myself and my colleague. When I arrived at 5:30 PM, there were a lot of orders being prepared. The staff seemed quite busy, with one person handling everything. They even answered the phone and served other customers while trying to get my order ready. It was a bit chaotic but amusing to watch. They told me it would take about 20 minutes, so I went to a nearby convenience store and waited in my car. I ordered Negima (chicken and leek skewers), pork skewers, chicken skewers, and hormone (offal) skewers. The Negima had a good amount of leeks, and the heart was delicious. As for the hormone skewers, well... The owner even ran to my car to bring the food, showing their dedication. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience. Thank you for the delicious takeout yakitori!
