I enjoyed homemade daily side dishes by Mama-ko for my evening drink. The classic menu, "Potato Salad" made with Kitakari potatoes and "Nikujaga" made with Inca no Mezame potatoes, were full of warmth and love, just like mother's cooking. It made me miss my hometown and created a cozy and warm drinking spot. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I wandered around Honmachi after visiting Rokken-san and ended up walking to the direction of the Hepnavi Center Building. I decided to go down to B1F and explore the two streets called Onna-koji and Chaya-koji. I chose a shop on the Chaya-koji side that caught my attention with its changed name. The interior was simple with a white-themed counter, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both businessmen and women. I had a second cheers with a refreshing ale and enjoyed a starter of squid and seaweed vinegar miso. I ordered the mountain pepper tempura and marinated saury from the daily menu, both of which were delicious. The mountain pepper tempura had a unique flavor from the whole peppercorns mixed in, while the marinated saury had a strong sweetness complemented well by grated radish. I had another glass of beer and felt a sense of calm in the cozy atmosphere. The previous customer left, so I had a chance to chat with the owner, who has been running the shop for about three and a half years. They mentioned using only domestic ingredients in their dishes and used to offer lunch service but currently have it on hold. The shop was run by the owner and two female staff members, and they had a wide selection of sake on the menu. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

2G is on a business trip... but everywhere they go, the weather is bad!!! They seem to be carrying a "bad luck" charm, so today they are having a quick lunch at the Shinsaibashi Center Building No. 10 Roller Operation in progress. If you understand "Roller Operation," it might be a type of operation from the mid-Showa period? Duck? There is only one review for this place, "Mamako's Kitchen." Oh no, the shocking "Mamako" ... a stepmother bullying kitchen??? A battlefield??? Not that, it seems to be a nice place run by a beautiful mom and her daughter. For lunch, you can choose between two options for the "Ton Ton Set Meal": Pork Cutlet and Egg or just Pork Cutlet as the main dish. It comes with a hearty miso soup and you can choose between white rice or mixed grain rice. The price of 980 yen seems a bit high around here! In the evening, they have a good selection of Japanese sake including Harushika, Kokuryu, Toyo Bijin, Kanazawa-ya, and Masumi series. The customers are a mix of people from the Heisei era and salarymen, with the place being quite busy even around 12:30. The food arrives quickly and looks promising with plenty of cabbage and lettuce, which are expensive this time of year, served with the pork cutlet. The pork cutlet itself is large and thick. The side dishes include macaroni salad, cold tofu, dried fish with grated radish, and plenty of pickles. The miso soup is packed with root vegetables in a generous portion. The mixed grain rice is cooked well with a mild saltiness. The homely flavors are quite satisfying! The only downside is the lack of condiments on the table, but the pork cutlet might go well with salt. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you.

I was looking for a second place in the basement of the Funabashi Center Building, and my colleague seemed to want to drink sake, so we wandered around and found a cozy looking restaurant. We went in, and there were only two staff members managing the place, with seating only available at the counter for about 10 people. The menu was quite extensive, ranging from side dishes to rice dishes. We decided to splurge and ordered the 1300 yen amberjack sashimi and the 600 yen potato salad. The sashimi was cut into large pieces, and the sweetness of the amberjack spread throughout my mouth - it was definitely worth the 1300 yen! The potato salad, although optional, came with a delicious apple slice. The apple was surprisingly good. We also had a glass of sake for around 900 yen. We ended up eating and drinking a lot, so the bill was quite high, but it was a rare indulgence and we were satisfied with the quality of the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.
