I had been to this restaurant before for a course meal, so this time I decided to go a la carte. I enjoyed a Caesar salad and tomato salad with olive oil and salt. The liver paste with honey and baguette was my favorite! The baguette was perfectly toasted and the honey really enhanced the flavor. Even if you're not a fan of liver, you might love it here! The tsukune was refreshing with a hint of herbs, and the deboned chicken wings were packed with flavor. Highly recommended! The negima was light with chicken breast, and the cheese was soft and gooey with wasabi. The seasonal vegetable skewers were delicious with just the right amount of salt. The chicken thigh was juicy and a classic choice. I got a little greedy with the oyakodon and ramen for my finishing dishes (laughs). The ramen soup was outstanding, packed with chicken flavor. The noodles were a unique type, similar to champon with a satisfying texture. The yolk in the oyakodon was made from high-quality eggs, with a distinctive orange color. The seating was comfortable with sofa-like chairs, and I enjoyed sitting at the counter.

I wish I had known earlier that there was such a good yakitori restaurant near Don Quijote in Shibuya. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I was surprised by the freshness of the chicken liver sashimi. It had no unpleasant smell and was tender and moist. All the yakitori dishes were cooked to perfection, and enjoying them with friends over some drinks was a great experience. The quality of the ingredients, the meticulous preparation, and the serious focus of the chefs at the grill were all visible from the counter, creating a lively atmosphere where we could eat comfortably. The oyakodon we had as a finishing touch was generous in portion, with a rich yolk and a gentle flavor that was incredibly delicious. It had a light and refreshing base, so even when full, we could still enjoy it. A must-try dish. Also, the homemade pudding had a nice eggy flavor and was delicious. The restaurant has counter seats, private rooms, and table seats, and the small scale allows for great customer service and a pleasant atmosphere. I definitely want to go back. They also have a nice selection of sake and whiskey, making it a great spot for a second round of drinks.

In Shibuya, we went to a yakitori restaurant that specializes in a brand of chicken called "Oyama Chicken" from Tottori. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of a building diagonally across from Don Quijote on Dogenzaka. The interior has a cozy counter with comfortable sofas, two semi-private rooms in the back, and table seats by the window overlooking the town of Shibuya. We sat at the counter for a girls' night out, enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. The waitress poured us light beer in thin glasses, making it taste even better. We opted for the 5500 yen course which included a set menu and all-you-can-drink option. The course started with three appetizers: simmered edamame, deliciously seasoned; followed by various skewers such as seseri, negima, chicken nanban, and more. The yakitori cooked at the counter elevated our dining experience. The food was so delicious and filling that we didn't need to order any extra skewers. The quality of the food and beer was exceptional, and we had a great time enjoying the meal. It was a fantastic deal for such a satisfying dining experience.

"Torigenji" is a yakitori izakaya located in Shibuya, Tokyo. They specialize in carefully grilled yakitori and skewers using high-quality chicken. You can enjoy a casual dining experience with a la carte options, course meals, and all-you-can-drink options, making it suitable for everyday dining or a proper drinking party. The restaurant is conveniently located near the station and is a hidden gem that can get fully booked even on weekdays. It is recommended to make a reservation before visiting. "Torigenji" uses the premium chicken brand "Oyama Chicken" from Tottori Prefecture to offer a unique yakitori dining experience. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of a building across from "Mega Don Quijote" on Dogenzaka, about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station. The entrance to the building may seem narrow, so please be careful not to overlook it. The interior of the restaurant features an L-shaped counter with sofas facing the grilling area, table seats by the window, and semi-private rooms, accommodating various group sizes and occasions. With a total of 23 seats, the cozy atmosphere is filled with the sounds of cooking and cheerful conversations among guests. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as grilled Oyama Chicken yakitori, skewers, appetizers, salads, creative dishes, and carb-based dishes for a satisfying meal. The chicken sashimi, known for its freshness, is also a popular choice. In addition to a selection of standard drinks, the restaurant offers an extensive range of wines and whiskies. They also provide a la carte options as well as course meals and courses with all-you-can-drink options based on content and price. I opted for the omakase course priced at 5,500 yen (tax included, plus a separate 550 yen charge) which includes 5 dishes and a 2.5-hour all-you-can-drink service. The course started with a toast of Premium Malt's beer served in a thin glass. The meal included simmered edamame, yam kimchi, and Caesar salad, each served individually, allowing guests to enjoy at their own pace. The course also included 6 skewers such as seseri and chicken breast wrapped in skin, each served hot and fresh. The dishes were seasoned simply with rock salt to bring out the rich flavors of the meat. The tebasaki (chicken wings) were boneless, making them easy to eat while retaining the juiciness and flavor. Among the skewers, the sasami wasabi, tsukune, and maruhatsu stood out for their unique textures and flavors. The oyadori (chicken thigh) was a highlight with its juicy and tender meat. The dishes were served in between yakitori skewers, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of flavors. The course also included dishes like oirin chicken and thick-fried tofu in a tangy and sweet sauce, perfect for pairing with the skewers. The all-you-can-drink service offered a selection of highball, white wine, red wine, allowing guests to enjoy unlimited drinks without worrying about the price. The attentive staff promptly refilled drinks and ensured a pleasant dining experience. The meal ended with a satisfying chicken broth ramen as a finale. The rich and creamy soup paired well with the curly noodles, making it a delightful finish to the meal. "Torigenji" in Shibuya offers a delightful dining experience with carefully crafted dishes that highlight the quality of the ingredients. Despite being relatively quiet during early weekday hours, the restaurant quickly fills up, showcasing its hidden popularity as a must-visit spot near the station!

The yakitori was so delicious that I couldn't help but order more. I definitely want to go back! The food is highly recommended, but the interior of the restaurant was a bit messy. With a little improvement, they could attract more customers. That's why I gave this rating.

I was surprised to find such a great restaurant in Shibuya. When seated at the counter, you can see the chef grilling over charcoal. I started with a beer and looked at the menu, which had a wide selection of drinks. I ordered white liver sashimi, which was served with sesame oil and rock salt, and it was amazing! The chicken dishes like bonjiri, yagen nankotsu, negima, and sasami were all tender and perfectly seasoned. The tsukune came with a firm kinkan egg, and the ginnan and shiitake in broth were delicious. For dessert, I had oyakodon and pudding, both with rich egg. The restaurant's name and course names are related to GENJI, and I'm curious to ask why next time.

I tried a yakitori restaurant in Shibuya with the mindset that if it's expensive, it must be delicious. However, the skewers were priced at 330 yen or more, but lacked volume and weren't grilled in a particularly special way. The chicken thigh and breast were dry, the tail meat was too small, and the chicken neck lacked juiciness. Honestly, the appetizers and side dishes were the best part. Eating these skewers for over 200 yen each feels like a waste. The staff didn't provide good service either, so I don't think I'll be returning.

I want to eat Torigenji yakitori at a building on the 4th floor of the block next to LABI next to 109 in Shibuya. I happened to search nearby and found a restaurant that opens at 5:00 PM, so we went in without a reservation. Luckily, we were able to get the last seat at the counter where we could see the yakitori being grilled right in front of us. It was quite fun to watch, but the smoke from the grill came directly towards us, leaving our clothes and hair smelling like grilled food. We enjoyed a glass of Echigo no Homare Tokubetsu Junmai from Niigata, which had a sweet taste followed by a refreshing aftertaste, perfect for pairing with yakitori or salad. We also tried umeshu, umeshu highball with pickled plum, and various yakitori skewers like egg tube, which had a surprising explosion of egg in the mouth. The atmosphere was relaxing, with Wi-Fi available, making it a great place to unwind. They also accept credit card payments. It was a great experience overall. Just a 5-6 minute walk from Shibuya Station, a few steps from YAMADA Electric, on the 4th floor of the Saito Dai Ni Building is Torugenji. Despite being close to the station, the interior of the restaurant feels like a different world. Quiet and slow-paced, thanks to the impeccable timing of the grill master. The compact space offers counter seating, table seating, and semi-private rooms. A must-try at Torugenji is the rare cuts, a variety of skewers, and grilled dishes using Oyama chicken, a famous brand from Tottori Prefecture. Highly recommended is the "Daikimi and Tsuyudaku Shiitake" dish. Rich in protein, perfect for preventing summer fatigue. From the seasonal menu, the "Chicken and Cucumber Namul" is a quick and simple dish with a refreshing saltiness that pairs well with drinks. The "Bonito Tataki" is another seasonal dish with plenty of grated radish and myoga, offering a refreshing taste. The skewers and grilled items are also a highlight. The "Daikimi" skewer, recommended by the staff, is a combination of skin-wrapped meat with a crispy skin and tender meat. The "Sasami Isobe Yaki Ume Wasabi" skewer offers a unique flavor of seaweed. The "Tsuyudaku Shiitake" skewer is shiny and full of sauce, best enjoyed by savoring the soup before eating the shiitake. The "Tomato" skewer is recommended for preventing summer fatigue and regulating neutral fats. The "Camembert" skewer is perfectly grilled to retain its shape, with a milky taste that pairs well with the tomato skewer. The "Nama-fu" skewer has a mochi-like texture, perfect with sweet miso. For a taste of the tender Oyama chicken, the "Oyakodon" is a must-try, with a rich harmony of egg yolk and dashi. The "Pudding" is a smooth and rich dessert with a caramelized top and plenty of vanilla beans. The "Orange Mimosa" is a refreshing non-alcoholic drink with a captivating fizzy texture. While the menu is centered around chicken, don't miss out on the seasonal items. With a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, Torugenji is a great place for a grilled chicken date at the counter. I can't wait to go back soon for the Daikimi!

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy Tottori Prefecture's Ooyama chicken. It is located on the 4th floor of Saito Dai 2 Building, just a short walk from Shibuya Station, past 109 and beyond YAMADA Denki. Start with the recommended BORJES BRUT (champagne) for a toast. From the recommended menu, try the seared bonito with garlic, shiso, and green onions. Add lemon and grated radish for a different taste. Next, try the rolled omelette and then the chicken skewer with plum and shiso. The chicken gizzard has a unique texture and a good balance of flavors. The shiitake mushrooms in broth are flavorful, and the sand gizzard has a crunchy texture. Enjoy a seasonal highball made with Suntory Yamazaki and Hakushu whiskey. The chicken and cucumber namul with sesame oil and salt is perfect for the hot weather. The grilled mozzarella skewer has a smooth and smoky flavor. The combination of tsukune and kumquat is interesting, with a crunchy cartilage inside the tsukune. Finish off with a homemade caramelized pudding. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with table and counter seating. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment. There are additional charges for table fees, service fees, and late-night fees after 10 pm.

I discovered a hidden gem yakitori restaurant across from Mega Don Quijote on Dojunkan in Shibuya. I was really hungry that day, so I decided to go for a la carte instead of just drinks. I tried various dishes, starting with one item, and they had a great selection of non-yakitori dishes which was a pleasant surprise. My favorite was the tender and chewy chicken thigh skewer. The egg in the oyakodon at the end was rich and delicious. Highly recommend ordering it. Here is what we ordered: - Non-yakitori dishes: - Wasabi marinated gizzard - Bonito tataki - Deep-fried cod milt - Chorogi salad - Vegetable sticks - Rolled omelette - Cream cheese marinated in miso paste - Skewers: - Gizzard skin (engawa) - Chicken thigh meat - Gizzard - Chicken oyster - Chicken tail meat - Heart - Chicken liver - Chicken breast meat - Chicken meatball with kumquat - Chicken tail meat with garlic - Ginkgo nut - Tomato - Asparagus - Shishito pepper - Shiitake mushroom in broth - Camembert cheese - Skewered wheat gluten - Ending dishes: - Sweet treat - Oyakodon (regular size) - Chicken white broth ramen (regular size) - Homemade pudding x2 - Today's ice cream (kiwi, muscat grape) - Drinks: - Ichi no Kura sake - Toki highball - Oolong tea - Fresh grapefruit soda

Riding a small, dirty elevator in the middle of Shibuya, I reached the 4th floor of a small mixed-use building. Stepping out, I found myself in a narrow, dimly lit shop. Despite feeling uneasy, I decided to give it a try as an adventure. The menu photos were blurry and hard to see. A small glass of draft beer cost 700 yen, while edamame and simmered bamboo shoots were 550 yen each. Skewers of green onion, pork belly, and gizzard were around 350 yen each. The white liver was about 900 yen. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality. However, the 5% service charge for the restroom and amenities was a mystery. The brown rings around the toilet bowl edges made me question what exactly that service charge covered. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

A shop located in a mixed-use building in Shibuya. I visited with one other person on a weekday night. The yakitori ranged from 350 to 400 yen per skewer. The pieces were quite large so it didn't feel too expensive. The yakitori was grilled well but still juicy. The downside was that the drinks were a bit pricey for the small glass sizes. With a 20% off coupon from Tabelog, the total for two people came to around 7,900 yen. However, it was a bit of a hassle to use the coupon as the staff seemed confused and it took a while to get it sorted out with a more senior staff member. Overall, I don't think this place is ideal for special occasions or dates, but it's fine for casual outings with friends or colleagues. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a yakitori restaurant near Shibuya Station with a friend on a holiday. The restaurant has both counter and table seats, with a lively but not too noisy atmosphere. We ordered a 5-kind assorted yakitori set and added more skewers as we went along, enjoying them with salad and cartilage as snacks while drinking. The skewers are reasonably priced at around 300 yen each and are delicious. The tsukune (meatballs) in particular were a favorite. There are both regular tsukune and tsukune with kumquats, and we ended up trying both - and they come with two kumquats each! A must-try! We also had chicken paitan ramen as a final dish, which was also delicious! The rich chicken broth in the ramen was tasty and easy to finish even when feeling a bit full. They also offer a half-size option, so you can enjoy it without worry! They also have courses with all-you-can-drink options. Both the first and second visits seem promising.

It's a different vibe from the bustling atmosphere of Shibuya, more calm and feels like a hidden gem for adults. This restaurant offers rare cuts like chochin/kinkan at reasonable prices, as well as some cuts you might not have seen before. The yakitori was all fresh and delicious! Especially the tsukune and white liver were really tasty. This place also serves chicken sashimi, which is only possible with super fresh chicken. I visited this restaurant located in a building diagonally across from the Mega Don Quijote in Shibuya, thanks to an invitation from someone I am grateful to. The interior of the restaurant, which consists of private rooms, tables, and a counter, was already full of customers, making it difficult to enter without a reservation. Thanks to my acquaintance who made a reservation for us, we were able to enjoy our meal and drinks leisurely at the counter! We toasted with beer and highballs, ate the appetizers, and waited for the yakitori to be cooked. The pace of serving from ordering was quite reasonable, allowing us to savor each dish properly. Although our seats were not too smoky, the seats closer to the grilling area seemed a bit smoky, so I recommend male escorts to consider this when bringing female guests on a date (lol). We ordered: - Bonjiri x2 - Sasami with wasabi x2 - Daki-meat x2 - Tsukune with kinkan x2 - Chouchin x2 - Skin x2 - Liver x2 - Nagaimo x2 - Ham cutlet - Chicken yukke - Chicken breast meat with sesame dressing salad - White soup - Oyakodon (small) - Draft beer x2 Total: ¥13,130 + α * Number of people: 2 The dishes, especially the yakitori, at this restaurant were to my liking, and to put it mildly, they were all very delicious! I can confidently say that the cost performance is not bad at all, and I was satisfied beyond the price paid! The Bonjiri was particularly impressive with its juicy fat, concentrated meat umami, perfect grilling, and just the right amount of salt... I was so impressed that I couldn't help but savor it slowly! I found myself nodding so much that I thought I was creepy for pretending to be a food connoisseur (lol). The liver, which I'm not particularly fond of, was also extremely delicious here! It was large, thick, free of any unpleasant smell, and had a wonderful texture! Even though I usually avoid large pieces of liver because I'm not a fan, this one was so delicious that I wanted another one! Highly recommended! The chicken yukke was also amazingly delicious! I was so impressed by how delicious it was that I had to confirm it with my acquaintance (lol). I thoroughly enjoyed the texture and flavor by mixing it well with the egg yolk and tasty sauce. Seriously delicious! I was impressed by the chef's serious expression as he focused on cooking and grilling. His efficient and focused handling of orders without any waste was truly amazing. In that sense, I highly recommend sitting at the counter! It was surprising to find such a delicious yakitori restaurant in a slightly old building in Shibuya! The deliciousness and atmosphere made a lasting impression, and I definitely want to visit again! This is a highly recommended restaurant!

I was amazed to find such a stylish and elegant place in Shibuya!! Each skewer is carefully grilled, so of course it's delicious! They have a wide variety of drinks, perfect for those who love alcohol! From vintage whiskies to specialty drinks ☺️ And the yakitori is incredibly delicious!! This time, the white liver pate was my personal favorite!! Even for someone like me who isn't a big fan of liver, it was delicious! Not just edible, but tasty!! I was truly impressed! Overall, it was a highly satisfying restaurant!
