I try to visit Hokkaido Jingu Shrine as much as possible each season. I don't do anything special, just a simple prayer, but I feel like my mind and body are purified and refreshed when I go there. I recently bought the "Fuku-re Mochi" from the shrine's tea house, a pack of 6. By the time I got home, they were a bit misshapen as I had shaken them during the journey. My wife and I found 6 to be too many, so we froze the extras. The mochi is made of roughly ground rice with sweet bean paste inside, but the paste is not too sweet, making it less suitable as a tea snack. The rice on the outside is quite coarse, unlike ohagi. As expected, after eating 2 pieces, the remaining 4 were frozen for later. I have visited the shrine's tea house several times, but this is the only item I have tried. I look forward to trying other products next time. Thank you for the meal.

When it's hot, soft serve ice cream is the way to go!! So I came to Jingu Chaya for that. There are mostly Asian tourists here. The elderly lady staff speaks English fluently. Cool! I'm a typical local guy, so I don't need English! (But deep down, I envy those who can speak English) I enjoyed the soft serve ice cream while cooling off. Soft serve ice cream is the best after all. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Enjoy a new sensation dessert at Hokkaido Shrine! "Freshly baked Fukure Mochi" for 250 yen (tax included). By pressing it, the daifuku transforms into a crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside new texture Japanese sweet. The best part is being able to eat it "freshly baked" right on the spot. It is said to have a "shelf life of 1 minute" as the texture changes quickly once it cools down, making it a popular item. You can also enjoy watching it being cooked on a hot plate up close!

After visiting Hokkaido Shrine, I discovered a tea house and decided to take a break. I enjoyed an iced coffee and soft serve ice cream. The soft serve was delicious and the coffee had a deep, rich flavor. I wanted to try a single piece of Fukure Mochi, but they weren't sold individually. I hope they consider offering them individually in the future! I also bought some leaf-shaped sablé cookies as souvenirs. I thought they were a thoughtful treat. Overall, I found the tea house near the shrine to be a nice spot to relax.

Hello everyone!! I went to Hokkaido Shrine Festival to become a princess!! It was a very hot day with lots of people, so I decided to stop by this shop. The shop had a hot cooking area inside, making it even hotter, and there was a long line. I don't like waiting in lines, but I really wanted some ice cream, so I decided to wait. After about 10 minutes, I finally got my soft serve ice cream!! The ice cream was refreshing with a slightly crunchy texture from the fine ice. In the hot summer, soft serve ice cream is always a good choice! I also wanted to try the freshly baked Fukumochi, but it was too hot to wait.

During the day, there were quite a few people. The line moved quickly so it wasn't a problem. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The mochi from Fukumochi was really delicious, especially the soft serve ice cream. I want to eat it again. The green tea was also tasty.

A tea house located within the grounds of Hokkaido Shrine. I saw people nearby eating and decided to visit. I ordered their specialty freshly baked Fukumochi. It takes a little time to bake after ordering. The freshly baked Fukumochi is crispy on the outside and the red bean paste inside is warm and delicious. It goes perfectly with the warm tea. Thank you for the meal.

I came to see the cherry blossoms, but this year they bloomed early and the plum blossoms were in full bloom instead. On my way back, I found a long line and decided to see what it was for. It turned out to be sweet bean-filled grilled rice cakes. The shop was not too crowded, so I decided to wait in line. There were many foreign customers, and the staff seemed very busy. They asked us to eat inside to avoid making a mess outside, but the inside was too crowded with customers ordering and waiting for their grilled rice cakes. It was impossible to eat inside, so I took my grilled rice cakes to my car and enjoyed them there. I wish they also sold delicious tea to go along with the rice cakes.

I went to the shrine to see the cherry blossoms. Even though it was early in the morning, there were a lot of tourists. It was a bit cold, but I tried the soft serve ice cream from Kinotoya. It was fluffy soft serve on a cookie cone. I wonder if it was made with lucky oak leaves? It was delicious. I also tried a new type of mochi called Daifuku, which had a texture similar to ohagi. They pressed it right there and it was crispy like a rice cracker. It was tasty and went well with the soft serve ice cream. I felt like having some tea afterwards. They also accept PayPay.

I purchased it when it was a bit crowded, so it took about 20 minutes from lining up to receiving the order. I received it freshly made, so it was very interesting with a crispy outside and a chewy inside. It paired well with a slightly bitter coffee and was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited for the first time. I came here for the freshly baked Fukumochi. Each one is pressed and made to order. They are served hot and cannot be taken to go. The crispy parts and chewy parts are delicious. Maybe I should have tried the Fukumochi before it was baked to compare. Thank you for the meal.

Jingu Chaya (Inside Hokkaido Jingu) - Freshly Baked Fukumochi @250 - Green Tea @200. After finishing my visit to the shrine, I went to the tea house. It's cold outside, but I warmed up with green tea and hot Fukumochi. It's a delicious treat made by pressing and grilling red bean paste mochi, with a chewy texture that is addictive. The paper design and text are simple yet elegant, fitting well with the shrine's atmosphere. It was a delightful meal.

The soft serve ice cream here is delicious! It's rich and creamy, but not too heavy. Really tasty soft serve. Right now, they have a limited edition freshly baked Fukumochi. Of course, I bought it. The thin freshly baked mochi with a hint of red bean paste inside is also delicious!

Freshly baked Fukumochi for 250 yen. A unique grilled mochi where a large daifuku mochi is sandwiched and grilled on a hot iron plate. It looks like a big senbei at first glance, but the outside is crispy like air and light, while the inside has a mochi-like texture with plenty of sweet bean paste. It is made to order and served hot. Located in Hokkaido Jingu, surrounded by snowy scenery, it is a perfect place to take a break after visiting the shrine. Although I didn't see any that day, if you're lucky, you might spot an Ezo squirrel.

There is a tea house inside Hokkaido Shrine! After visiting Hokkaido Shrine, I stopped by this tea house. I actually saw "Fuku-mochi" on Instagram and had a strong desire to try it. Visiting Hokkaido Shrine for the food is quite something! It's completely upside down, I might get scolded by the gods. When I entered the tea house, I was surprised to see "K" on the Fuku-kashiwa (baked confectionery). I was like, "Wow, this is also Kinotoya!" The freshly baked Fuku-mochi was next after the freshly baked cookie sandwich. I've been well taken care of by Kinotoya-san (laughs). The freshly baked Fuku-mochi is made by sandwiching Fuku-mochi in dough and baking it. The slightly sweet fluffy dough on the outside, and the taste and texture vary depending on where you eat it with the mochi and bean paste inside, which is interesting. It used to be [Freshly Baked Fuku-kashiwa] that was sold, but it has now been changed to Freshly Baked Fuku-mochi since December 25, 2022. I bought some Fuku-kashiwa and other sweets. The Fuku-kashiwa is a slightly hard shortbread. Personally, I found it a bit too sweet. It contains oak leaves as an ingredient, but I couldn't taste it. They also sell it individually. There were chairs inside where you could eat in, but they were full. There might be outdoor seating available when it's not winter. I recommend the freshly baked Fuku-mochi. Thank you for the meal. *There are two tea houses at Hokkaido Shrine, one operated by Kinotoya called "Shrine Tea House" and the other operated by Rokkatei called "Rokkatei Shrine Tea House Store." There is someone who mistakenly posted about Fuku-mochi at Rokkatei Shrine Tea House Store, so please be careful. The phone number registered here connected to Rokkatei, so I have requested a correction to the Tabelog office. 011-590-4185

After visiting the shrine, I stopped by this place. I tried the freshly baked flat Fukumochi for 250 yen. It was crispy in some parts, fluffy in others, with red bean paste inside. You can enjoy a variety of textures. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by on my way back from Hatsumode. The line was super long and disorganized, so I didn't know where to go. Also, it seemed different from usual as they were making senbei by stretching out the mochi. Well, it was a memorable experience, I guess.

- Freshly baked Fukumochi I purchased "Freshly baked Fukumochi" and "Fukumochi" with walnuts and raisins. The "Freshly baked Fukumochi" is a mochi made by crushing a large mochi while baking it. The outside is crispy like senbei (rice crackers), while the inside still has a bit of mochi texture left, which stretches a bit when you bite into it. Even though it was my first time trying it, it had a familiar taste and was delicious. - Fukumochi This is a small-sized mochi with a slightly undercooked texture, and it comes in a pack of 6. Despite the visible rice grains, it has a melt-in-your-mouth texture that is very delicious. The sweetness of the red bean paste was just right. It was also tasty when thawed after being frozen. This type of mochi is not commonly seen in Sapporo, so I recommend trying it out for those who are curious. I had been wanting to visit this place ever since I saw it on the internet news, but I didn't want to deal with the crowds, so I went after the first three days of the New Year. Even then, I had to wait for about 20 minutes, which was surprising given its popularity. It seems that the Fukumochi is baked to order, so only a few pieces can be made at a time, which added to the wait time. I wore a down coat, but it was still cold standing in line during winter. There were a few benches at the back of the store, so I sat there to enjoy my mochi. Since there were only a few benches available, you need to time it right to get a seat.

After visiting the shrine for the New Year's visit, I stood in line and bought a "Fuku-re-mochi" for 250 yen. It's not a mochi, but rather a flat baked snack, similar to a thin senbei. There's no place to eat inside, so when I tried to eat it outside, it quickly became cold due to the chilly weather. While waiting in line, I also found a confectionery similar to Kamakura's famous confectionery "Kurumicco" among Hokkaido's specialty snacks.

On the day of the New Year's visit to a shrine, I always make sure to visit at the beginning of the month. Normally I just pass by this place. I remember enjoying an ice cream in the summer, but on this day, as I looked around, I suddenly noticed a flag with the words "Freshly Baked Lucky Kashiwa" fluttering in the wind. It must always be displayed, but on this day, the winter chill had suddenly arrived a few days earlier. I wasn't used to the cold, and I felt really cold... With the words "Freshly Baked" and "Luck", I was drawn in. The Freshly Baked Lucky Kashiwa costs 250 yen and is a gently warm sablé cookie. As I was taking a picture outside, a crow quickly appeared right in front of me!! It almost stole my cookie ^^; The cookie is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Despite its thinness, the balance is amazing. It is slightly sweet, and it feels like good luck is coming with this Lucky Kashiwa. This is the first time I've had a freshly baked sablé cookie, and it is definitely more delicious when freshly baked!! I hope good luck comes my way o^^o. Thank you for the meal (╹◡╹)
