I have a memory of buying chocolates at Leonidas in Nishi-Umeda a few times and thinking "When it comes to pralines, it has to be Leonidas." When I searched for Leonidas for this year's Valentine's Day, I was surprised to find out that a new store had opened in front of Kishiwada Station on November 25th! I hurried to visit. The shop looks stylish with a jewelry store attached. Upon entering the shop, I found out that they sell chocolates by weight (which made me a bit anxious as my memory was vague). I selected six classic chocolates, thinking that they are from the chocolate maker appointed by the Belgian royal family, so it should be fine to splurge a bit. When I paid, it came to ¥1255. I felt relieved (I'm a bit of a worrier). When I got home, I brewed some tea and enjoyed the chocolates. Indeed, when it comes to pralines, it has to be Leonidas. Even though I don't usually go for white chocolate or unique flavors, I felt like eating multiple pieces at once. I didn't choose Valentine's Day chocolates this time, but I looked at them closely. The box with 18 chocolates for ¥3720 seemed luxurious but not too expensive. There were also options with 8 or 12-13 pieces, which would be easier to give as gifts. You can also choose chocolates individually to make your own assortment. Personally, I love chocolates with orange peel. I still have some time to decide, so I will visit again soon.
