I knew there would be plenty of food, so I ordered the lunch course "Hiraku". I started with a plum wine for an aperitif. It was strong and very delicious. The meal started with a salad with Ise Ebi (Japanese spiny lobster). The lobster was firm and the dressing by Nakano Yanagi was as delicious as always. Next was a deep-fried crab shell with pumpkin inside. It was sweet and fluffy, very tasty. Then came the miso soup with Ise Ebi. The broth was rich and flavorful. I was already full at this point, but I couldn't waste it, so I left half. The palate cleanser was a sorbet, a bit sour but refreshing. Unfortunately, I couldn't take photos from this point on because the wine started to kick in, and my head was spinning. Next was a creamy croquette, one of my favorite dishes. For the rice, we could choose between chirashi sushi or ochazuke. We chose sushi, and it was delicious even though I only had a bite. For dessert, instead of the usual fruit, there was a limited option of "Japanese sweets". I chose that without hesitation. It came with a small chestnut yokan and matcha. Despite feeling like I was going to collapse from being so full, the sweetness was just right, and I finished it all. Everything was delicious, and my husband was very pleased. The service at Nakano Yanagi is like a hotel, and the timing of serving the dishes is perfect. This place is truly ideal for special occasions. Oh, and if you make a reservation at least two days in advance, you will receive a special message card as a gift. The message card is really amazing. You can see a sample on their website, so check it out if you're interested!

At the end of the year, my second son's family went to his wife's hometown for a visit, so I decided to go out and eat something delicious. I visited Nakanoin Third Building on the 32nd floor in front of Osaka Station, a popular restaurant with the best view. We couldn't get a reservation for dinner, so we booked a seat with a view of the window for lunch. The elevator goes directly from the first floor to the 32nd floor, so it's easy to access. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxing and comfortable. When we celebrated our grandchild's first meal, we enjoyed a private room even with children. The staff greeted us at the entrance and escorted us to our seats, making the service impeccable. The night view is beautiful, making it suitable for various occasions from anniversaries to business dinners. We ordered lunch courses ranging from 3980 yen to 6500 yen. We had the Ise lobster sashimi course, the Midorino course for me, and the rainbow course for my wife. We started with plum wine or apple juice for drinks. I had a glass of white wine. The dishes were delicious, especially the Ise lobster salad, which my wife loves. The Ise lobster sashimi was fresh and sweet, and the Ise lobster shell croquette was also tasty. The Ise lobster miso soup was flavorful, and the Ise lobster and seasonal vegetable salad was refreshing. For the main course, I had the Ise lobster grilled with a slightly tangy American sauce, while my wife had the Ise lobster with a sauce. My son enjoyed the beef fillet teppanyaki. The dessert was a homemade cheesecake, and we ended the meal with aromatic coffee. Considering the quality of the food and service, I believe it was worth the price. We had a luxurious lunch to close out the year.

It was delicious! Ise-ebi was amazing! The sashimi was incredibly tasty and sweet. The salad, gratin, fried shell, and grilled dishes were all delicious! It was a fun experience. I think there used to be a branch in Ginza, Tokyo, but it may have closed. There is definitely one in Omori.

It's been a while since I had dinner with my wife. The first kiss was really delicious. The salad, grilled fish, and sashimi were all almost the same as usual. But from the miso soup onwards, my stomach started to feel full and I couldn't finish the meal. I have finally reached an age where I can't eat everything. I feel like from next year, I will have to bring my daughter or son along. My wallet can't handle it though.

Every year, we celebrate my sister's birthday here. We usually order course meals and decide after hearing the kind explanations from the staff. The salad was generous, with plenty of spiny lobsters, and very delicious. The cream croquette I tried for the first time was piping hot and very tasty. You can enjoy spiny lobster in every dish. We had a great time chatting leisurely.

I had the lunch course (HISUI) and enjoyed it. The sashimi had a nice texture and sweet taste of fresh lobster. The tempura was crispy and I could fully enjoy the aroma and sweetness of the lobster. The lobster miso soup was rich and flavorful with lots of lobster miso. The grilled lobster dish had a good balance with the sauce, allowing me to savor the crispy texture and sweet flavor of the meat. I would definitely consider using this restaurant for special occasions like anniversaries.

In January of the 5th year of Reiwa, you can enjoy a meal at a restaurant with a nice atmosphere where you can savor delicious Ise lobster dishes such as fresh sashimi, salad, fried shell and cream croquette, soup, grilled with yuzu mayonnaise, seaweed tea pickles, dessert, and a cup of tea after the meal.

I had known about this place for a while, but I finally visited it. It had a nostalgic and luxurious feel, and I was really excited. The abundance of spiny lobsters was impressive, it felt like they just kept coming! I thought there would be a lot, but there were even more than I expected. If I had to be picky, I wish there had been more variety in the flavors so I could have enjoyed it until the end. Maybe adding a tangy sauce or changing up the texture would have been nice. Even though the atmosphere and abundance of spiny lobsters were wonderful, the lack of variety towards the end left me feeling a bit bored. However, the luxuriousness and taste of the spiny lobsters in the beginning were outstanding.

Founded by Seiichi Tsutsumi in September 1950, the restaurant "Chunagon" specializes in dishes made with fresh Ise lobster, drawing inspiration from the Heian period book "Tzutaka no Naisho Monogatari" written by Fujiwara no Kanetsuki. Over the years, the restaurant has expanded to various locations in Osaka, Kobe, and Tokyo, offering a wide range of menu options including course meals, banquet plans, a la carte dishes, and set meals. The restaurant also operates a bento delivery service, a mail-order business for Ise lobster products, and a members club. The interior of the restaurant is modern and spacious, with a sophisticated atmosphere and a stunning view from the 32nd floor. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as the Mixed Fry Set Meal, featuring a selection of fried seafood including Ise lobster, salmon, and squid. The meal also includes fresh vegetable salad, side dishes, miso soup, rice, and pickles, providing a satisfying and delicious dining experience.

I rarely eat spiny lobsters. Occasionally, I may have it as sashimi at a ryokan while traveling, but it's not something that I usually have on my dining table at home. Even with crabs (snow crabs), I may eat them as a part of a dish, but due to their high prices, I rarely have them unless I make a special trip to the San'in or Hokuriku regions in winter to eat them myself. Spiny lobsters are even rarer and less valued compared to snow crabs, but the amount of meat in one tail is quite small despite their large size. Both spiny lobsters and snow crabs cannot be farmed, so they cannot be artificially increased in number to meet demand, which is why they are naturally expensive. I realized that I had never eaten spiny lobster to my heart's content, so I made a reservation to eat it with my wife when I visited my parents' house. I had reserved the highest course, "Hisui," at the main store located on the 32nd floor of the third building. The lunch course costs just under 9,000 yen including tax. The dinner courses are much more expensive, starting at 8,580 yen including tax for the cheapest course and going up to 25,000 yen. The menu includes: - Aperitif - Live spiny lobster sashimi - Vegetable salad - Tempura of spiny lobster - Ice cream - Grilled spiny lobster - Spiny lobster with seaweed tea and pickles - Dessert - Coffee After the meal, feeling satisfied and full, I felt that I had had enough spiny lobster for a while. The grilled spiny lobster was topped with cheese and tomato sauce, giving it a Western feel, which was interesting when compared to the sashimi. Both were delicious in their own ways, but the natural deliciousness of the spiny lobster seemed to shine more in the sashimi. When I was a junior high school student, I used to go to Umeda to watch movies quite often, and I saw a commercial before the movie that said, "Live spiny lobster cuisine at Chunanagon!" multiple times, but I never felt the urge to try it. The scene of spiny lobsters jumping out of the water was vivid, but I never had the chance to try it until now. I felt very satisfied. The service was attentive and suitable for formal occasions or business entertainment. At night, depending on the seat, you can also enjoy the city's night view.

It's been a while since I had spiny lobster. The taste and course order are still the same, and the sashimi is definitely the most delicious. One whole spiny lobster in the standard course is easy to understand and pace, but it's getting harder to eat everything. I might skip dinner tonight.

Thank you very much. It was my first time dining at night. I enjoyed the night view in a luxurious private room. The specialty salad was amazing with a huge portion, as expected from a specialty restaurant. The meal ended with shrimp dishes, satisfyingly filling. It was a night full of satisfaction. Thank you for the meal. Goodbye.

I visited this restaurant as a replacement for the Ginza branch that closed about 10 years ago. I indulged in a feast of spiny lobster, which looked healthy and tasted delicious. Eating here made me feel like I didn't even need meat. Seriously, the spiny lobster feast was amazing. I realized later that they recommended private rooms probably because in the table seats, the voices from other tables can be heard directly, which may not be ideal during the pandemic. Next time, I would like to enjoy it in a private room. Thank you for the meal.

Today is my birthday! A birthday card arrived, so I decided to treat myself to a meal at Ichinouen. The window seats were fully booked, but any seat would do for me. This time, I chose the Rainbow course for lunch, which costs ¥5830. Last time, I couldn't eat the dessert because I was too full from the abalone seaweed tea rice, so this time I asked for no tea rice. I'm not a big fan of tea rice, and I would prefer to have the option of white rice, but oh well. Let's start the course! - Plum wine as an aperitif was strong and delicious! - Abalone salad in the style of Ichinouen looked very luxurious and made me excited! Plenty of fresh vegetables and dressing were delicious. Abalone was cut into two pieces. I wanted more (laughs). - Abalone soup was very rich and I have loved it for a long time. It's also my son's favorite. - Abalone cream croquette had a hint of sweetness from the onions and was delicious as always. - Yuzu sherbet as a palate cleanser was refreshing. - Abalone and seasonal ankake with fried salmon and abalone in tempura style, topped with bamboo shoots, green beans, carrots, and lotus root, all covered in a very elegant broth. It was delicious but a bit light in flavor. The dish was so hot that I couldn't even hold the bowl! Be careful not to burn yourself (laughs). - Homemade cheesecake was more like a baked cheesecake rather than a soufflé cake, and it was reasonably tasty. After finishing the meal, I realized that the birthday card discount was for groups of two or more people (laughs). I presented my 10% discount membership card and ¥1000 voucher and paid the bill before leaving the restaurant. I would love to try dishes like abalone gratin or abalone in chili sauce as additional course menu items in the future. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Nakonan, a restaurant known for its spiny lobster dishes. The salad portion was overwhelming, and only big eaters could finish it! The sashimi of spiny lobster was deliciously firm and tasty. The portion size was larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I chose the cream croquette over the fried lobster shell, and it was definitely the right choice. For the main dish, I chose the signature Nakonan grilled lobster over abalone or beef fillet. Although I wanted to try the abalone or fillet, I went with the signature dish. The lobster cheese bake was quite large, with thick meat that was a bit tough to eat. It was a birthday celebration for a friend who loves lobster, and they were very satisfied with the meal!

It's lunchtime and I visited this restaurant without a reservation. I was seated at a table with a great view at the back of the restaurant. The menu had a variety of options, but I decided to go with the course menu. I started with a delicious plum wine as an aperitif. For the meal, I chose the Pearl Course which includes sashimi and the Rainbow Course which includes a salad. The sashimi was beautifully presented with a whole lobster that was sweet and delicious. The salad was also filled with plenty of shrimp. The lobster soup was rich and flavorful, and the fried lobster shell with pumpkin paste was a unique and tasty dish. The lobster cream croquette and lobster miso soup were also highlights of the meal. The main course was a grilled lobster dish which was cooked to perfection. The lobster with seasonal sauce was also very tasty. I ended the meal with a refreshing palate cleanser before enjoying the lobster tea pickled in seaweed. The meal was finished with a delicious cheesecake and a cup of tea. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Today, I indulged in a little luxury before getting the new COVID vaccine at 3:00 PM, thinking about what if I died - I thought I should have had a slightly better lunch. I was thinking I would just get a set meal if I were dining alone, but there was a reasonably priced course available, so I chose the Yoko course for ¥4378 (tax included). Here is what I had: - Ise Ebi (Japanese spiny lobster) salad: A vegetable-rich salad with some pieces of Ise Ebi. I was imagining the lobster and miso being packed together, but one-third of it was potato salad. It had a subtle Japanese flavor and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. - Ise Ebi soup: The soup here is really delicious! It has a miso aroma and is incredibly tasty. This was the best part of the meal for me. - Ise Ebi shell croquette: This was like a small croquette with pieces of shrimp inside, similar to a pumpkin croquette. It's been on the menu for a while, but it wasn't really to my liking. - Refreshing ice confection: A light sherbet to cleanse the palate. It was good, but not necessary. - Ise Ebi cream croquette: Unlike some cheap Western-style restaurants' crab cream croquettes that lack crab flavor, this one had a distinct crab aroma. It was delicious. - Ise Ebi nori tea rice: I'm not a big fan of tea rice, but this one had chunks of Ise Ebi and a nice wasabi aroma. I prefer plain white rice and pickles. I was already quite full by the time the dishes kept coming out slowly or because the salad was so filling (haha). The service was excellent as always, and being a member, I got a 10% discount, which was nice. I declined the dessert due to being full and just had an iced coffee. As a bonus, I got to draw a lottery ticket and won a ¥1000 gift certificate as a fourth prize. It was a lovely meal, thank you!

After enjoying the panoramic view on the 33rd floor of Osaka Station Front Building No. 3, I descended to Nakanoin on the 32nd floor. Although it opens at 11 o'clock, I entered 5 minutes late. However, there was no one else there. As a COVID-19 precaution, we couldn't sit directly in front of each other, so we sat in staggered seats. Since I had made a reservation, I was guided to the seat furthest from the window. The view from the window reminded me of the time when my wife and I rode a ferris wheel to enjoy the night view. This time, it was my wife's birthday, so we decided to have a full course of spiny lobster at Nakanoin. Instead of an alcoholic drink, I had to settle for apple juice due to the alcohol service restrictions. So, I reluctantly toasted with non-alcoholic beer and ginger ale. The non-alcoholic beer was not very good (laughs). The seasonal appetizer was scallop terrine. I have had seasonal appetizers many times in the past, but this one was the best. The spiny lobster salad with a refreshing special dressing and homemade tartar sauce was next. The plump spiny lobster was delicious. The sashimi of spiny lobster served with a special lobster soy sauce was exquisite, with a hint of sweetness. The small bite soup made with spiny lobster was served, and the rich aroma of the spiny lobster filled the air. Although it was a full course of spiny lobster, having a beef fillet steak on a hot plate in between prevents you from getting tired of the spiny lobster. The staff cooked it in front of us with skillful hands. It was cooked rare, and I decided to leave it as it was. The spiny lobster chawanmushi was served as a palate cleanser. Then came the Nakanoin-style grilled spiny lobster, a famous dish cooked with special mayonnaise and tomato-based sauce. The staff prepared it in front of us for easy consumption. The large, firm spiny lobster was served whole, providing a satisfying bite. Perhaps, Nakanoin is the only place where you can enjoy spiny lobster with special mayonnaise and tomato-based sauce! The spiny lobster rice with seaweed tea and pickles was a tea-steeped rice dish containing shredded spiny lobster meat. After the meal, we were given a coffee-scented dessert. We also received a lottery prize of a 1,000 yen meal voucher, but since it expires in 3 months, we won't be able to use it (what a shame). By the way, we came to Nakanoin this time because it was my wife's birthday, but her birthday is actually next month. Any reason is good enough to eat delicious food (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

I attended a shrimp-only dinner party instead of a crab one. A friend chose Nakanoin, and we had a great time! I visited Nakanoin in Minami about 10 years ago but didn't remember much, so I was excited to go again. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the restaurant was very spacious, with only us and one other group. It felt a bit lonely, but when the beautifully presented spiny lobsters arrived, my excitement grew. It was a fun shrimp-filled evening. However, the taste was a bit challenging and there was a strong smell.

As the weather was getting warmer and my birthday was approaching, I decided to treat myself to some Ise Ebi (Japanese spiny lobster) at Chunanagon in Umeda. Despite the rainy weather, I enjoyed the view from the 32nd floor before entering the restaurant. Originally, I had made a reservation for the 14th, but it was fully booked, so I had to change it to the 21st, which turned out to be a rainy day (laughs). It has become an unspoken rule in our house to visit Chunanagon on our birthdays. The Kassai Course included a pre-dinner drink and beer, seasonal appetizers, Ise Ebi salad, live Ise Ebi sashimi, Ise Ebi yaki-saikoro (lightly seared sashimi with cherry blossom salt), Ise Ebi one-bite soup, Japanese beef fillet on hot stone, Ise Ebi Chunanagon yaki (a signature dish), Ise Ebi nori chazuke, pickles, and dessert. The staff recommended the Ise Ebi yaki-saikoro due to the impact of the pandemic on Ise Ebi producers. The dishes were all delicious, and I especially enjoyed the variety of Ise Ebi dishes along with the beef fillet. It was a delightful dining experience at Chunanagon.
