A game meat restaurant opened in Fukushima. It seems to have the same owner as the Takamatsu Yakiniku Takamatsu in Tennoji, with a similar self-cooking style. The menu consists of only one course (¥4,800). This was my first time trying game meat dishes. Deer meat, wild boar meat, and bear meat were served, and I was worried about not liking them, but they were surprisingly delicious without any gamey taste. In particular, the bear meat had a good amount of fat, a strong sweetness, and the more you chewed, the more flavor came out, it was so delicious! It's not like A5 grade beef that melts in your mouth, but rather a meat with a chewy texture that concentrates the umami flavor. The head chef is a half-Japanese, half-Indian woman who is friendly and fun. Trying game meat dishes for the first time was enjoyable and delicious!

I obtained a hunting license because I wanted to dismantle and cook what I caught by myself, and this year I became a first-year hunter. Through this connection, I heard that a hunter had opened a game cuisine restaurant, so I went there with my hunter friends this time. The owner, Mr. Orisaka, not only offers what he has caught, but also game sourced from hunters across the country. It is a small restaurant with only a counter, and there is a small hearth dug into the counter where you can grill the ingredients yourself. The chef who introduced herself as the head chef was a half-Indian and half-Japanese woman, which is quite unique. The dishes we had that day were: - Appetizer: Venison namero and roasted game - Wild boar from Wakayama, wild boar sinew simmered with sansho pepper - Grilled venison fillet with horseradish - Grilled wild boar belly with simple salt and black pepper - Magamo and onagagamo from Ariake Sea with Ariake seaweed - Magamo heart and gizzard - Boiled wild boar liver with almond and cashew nuts - Lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, taro - Fried bear paws - Deer and wild boar chawanmushi with caramel sauce - Kamameshi rice and soup made from deer and wild boar bones All the meats had a wild taste and were very delicious. It may seem difficult to grill them yourself, but the chef will guide you on when it's ready to eat, so you can rest assured. For 5,500 yen, being able to enjoy all these ingredients is quite satisfying. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive and expand the world of game cuisine.

Today, I went to a newly opened game meat restaurant. I have been interested in trying game meat for a while, especially since I know the owner, Mr. Orisaka. I enjoyed various courses of game meat dishes. Contrary to my initial impression of a strong smell or taste, the game meat was surprisingly delicious and I could easily get addicted to it. The dishes were creatively prepared and kept me entertained throughout the meal. The head chef, Reshma, was also a delightful person who added to the enjoyable experience. The icing on the cake was the price - I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was! The overall experience, including the atmosphere, food, and service, provided excellent value for money. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
