It seems that the bookstore has been turned into a cafe. I ordered a cafe latte and cream soda, and took a seat. The atmosphere is quiet, with many people reading, studying, or working on their laptops. There are seats with kotatsu tables and also some "degenerate" sofas that make you want to stay forever. I chose to sit on one of those sofas. The cafe latte was average, but the acoustic guitar background music, the cozy cushion sofa, and the use of wood in the space were very relaxing. I don't want to leave... I could stay here all day. However, even though there are plenty of books, you can't just read them at your seat, as it is still a bookstore and you have to purchase them. It would have been even better if the books were all you can read for free... but that's just a little selfish wish (laughs). They seem to have various events every week, which looks fun. A bookstore near Imazumi Park. I was heading to another store ahead, but decided to stop here for a light meal. Located on the second floor of an old building, the interior is surrounded by books, creating a cozy atmosphere. There are table and counter seats in the back where you can enjoy a light meal, but you can also simply use the bookstore. During my visit, there were mostly male customers. I saw a menu on the wall by the stairs that caught my eye, "Butter Chicken Curry that My Ex-Boyfriend Liked," and I thought, why not. The Butter Chicken Curry with a drink included (1,000 yen including tax) is described as "created by the staff with ingenuity in the hope that your ex-boyfriend will like you." I don't know the outcome of that love story. The curry was not too spicy, with a good balance of sweetness and medium spiciness, making it easy to eat. It was surprisingly authentic and delicious. I really liked it. The chicken was plentiful and tender, and the curry had the richness of butter and the flavor of spices. The rice was also shiny and well-cooked. You can choose your drink, so I went with Ginger Ale, which was served in a bottle with plenty of carbonation. I was satisfied with the delicious curry. You can't read books other than the ones you purchased at the table, but it was enjoyable to spend some time after the meal browsing through books. It was a pleasant time for book lovers.

One year ago, a cafe-style bookstore called "Fukuoka Tenroin" was quietly born in Fukuoka. I was curious about it, but for some reason, I never went. I wonder why.. They had Soseki's Ten Nights of Dreams. It was a topic in my university class. It was just right to read while drinking beer.
