A café located a 3-minute walk from exit 15 of Honmachi Station on the Chuo Line. The location of the shop is a bit hard to find, but if you go straight through the entrance of the building next to the restaurant, you will find a room that doesn't look like a café at first glance. The interior of the café is full of hobbies, with walls lined with model SL trains. You can feel the love put into it. An old man with white hair welcomes you. The service seems a bit shaky, with him asking, "What would you like for breakfast? We have toast." When I ordered toast, the old man stopped and stared towards the kitchen. After 3 minutes, he restarted. The Morning Set with toast costs 350 yen, which includes toast, a boiled egg, and a drink. The toast is half-sized and the boiled egg is strangely wet. The iced coffee has a lingering aftertaste with a strong bitterness and acidity. Later, a man with glasses and an apron comes in. It seems like these two men are running the shop together. I tried to have a conversation with the old man with white hair, but it was like a fast-paced game of catch, unsure if we were on the same page. Feeling overwhelmed in various ways, I left the shop only to notice a sign that wasn't there before listing other items on the menu besides toast.

I finally mustered up the courage to visit this place alone, despite being warned that it's not really a place for women. Located in a somewhat dim office building in the Kyuhou district, the entrance had frosted glass doors, giving no hint of what lay inside. As soon as I stepped in, I felt the unique atmosphere of this hidden garden for connoisseurs. There was no turning back! I hurried to the counter, where I was promptly asked for my order without a menu in sight. I opted for coffee, which was served by a very eccentric server. Their eyes never blinked as they handed me the coffee, their hands shaking so much that I was surprised the contents didn't spill. The slight tremor felt like a magnitude 2.5 earthquake! Just when I thought I could relax a bit, I found myself in another dilemma. The same quirky server who took my order sat down at the counter next to me to have their meal. I tried to eat quietly so as not to disturb them. After a few minutes, I found myself enjoying the unique experience and the memories it brought back. The coffee was actually quite good, although I could only manage to drink a third of it due to a sudden lump in my throat.

Nearby on a customer visit, I decided to take a little break and stumbled upon this place. Oh, looks like a MyReviewer is here too! Hmm, not many reviews...seems like a place for enthusiasts. Hehe, I think I'll like this place. Down the hidden corridor, you'll find "SL Cafe." Oh, the nostalgic atmosphere is so strong here. I kind of like it. The walls are covered with various types of SL (Steam Locomotive) models. Seems like they would fetch a high price among enthusiasts. I ordered an iced coffee for 350 yen to quench my thirst. Oh, this iced coffee is...pretty average! The place is quite crowded with customers enjoying their meals. People are reading magazines quietly. The age group seems to be on the older side, but I don't mind the vibe here. The staff here have quite unique personalities. A place that enthusiasts with a certain aroma would appreciate. Thank you for the meal!

After enjoying a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant, I was about to head back to the office when I came across this place! A steam locomotive (SL) cafe?! Intrigued by the hand-drawn and suspicious-looking sign, I decided to search for it on Tabelog and found that a frequent reviewer had been there. It looked interesting, so I decided to give it a try. The cafe, located at the back of a building, was filled with SL model trains displayed on one wall. The staff, especially the quirky older gentleman, was full of humor! I can't list all the funny moments, so if you're curious, you should definitely check it out. However, as the frequent reviewer mentioned, there was a steam locomotive ambiance inside the cafe. As a non-smoker, I found the smoky atmosphere a bit overwhelming and had to make a quick exit. But hey, I found a fun and unique cafe after a long time! Thanks for the meal!

After eating steak, I was looking for a cafe and happened to come across this amazing place. It's a steam locomotive-themed cafe. The whole place is filled with steam locomotives. I'm not a train enthusiast at all. It's run by two elderly gentlemen in a small space. There were over 20 locomotive models displayed on the walls. I only know "Degoichi" though. The owner's father has been collecting rare models since the Taisho era. It's like a mini museum. It was crowded with nearby office workers after dinner. The iced coffee costs 350 yen. It's just a regular iced coffee. I had a relaxing time there. All aboard!
