I visited for lunch for the second time. They only offer one type of brown rice lunch. The meal includes small portions of tempura, sashimi, etc., along with brown rice and miso soup. The flavors were pleasing to the body. Each dish was delicious and clearly made with care.

The shop that opened next to Uesaki, the head chef, is like a casual version of Uesaki. The ingredients and flavors are definitely delicious. There is a wide variety of Japanese sake, and the fish, fried food, and simmered dishes are all delicious! It's a mystery why the restaurant has a low rating on Tabelog.

I revisited the restaurant because I had enjoyed their grilled mackerel sandwich before. However, it seems that the grilled mackerel sandwich is now only available for takeout, which is disappointing. I ordered the brown rice lunch set instead. It came with grilled mackerel and various side dishes in small portions, which seemed to appeal to women. The overall flavor was light and seemed to be good for the body. The set included a salad, 6 side dishes, miso soup, and brown rice sprinkled with yukari. Since there were no heavy dishes, I found it a bit lacking in quantity. Personally, I preferred the previous grilled mackerel sandwich lunch set.

On a hot day in the midst of the rainy season, I decided to go there for lunch. The bright interior faces the road on the southwest side. The cozy space has a stylish, western-style bar atmosphere. There are 7 counter seats and two tables for two. The lunch menu offers two options: - Grilled mackerel sandwich set: 1,000 yen - Brown rice lunch set: 1,000 yen I chose the former and it was truly charming. The dishes were served on a wooden tray, each in small portions. - Mackerel fry - Rolled omelette with dashi broth - Salted mackerel - Grated daikon radish & red bell pepper - Deep-fried eggplant with miso - Bell pepper tempura - Shredded dried young sardines - Silken tofu with clams miso soup - Pickled Chinese cabbage You can have seconds of the main brown rice. With all this food, you can easily have 2 beers or 3 cups of sake. The mackerel in particular is delicious, whether fried or grilled. I had the restraint not to have seconds this time for the sake of my health. Next time, I'll try the grilled mackerel sandwich. My friend's recommendation was spot on this time. The soy milk soup is a creamy clam chowder with plenty of clams, and it is also delicious. The grilled mackerel sandwich is made fresh while you finish your salad, so you get to enjoy it hot. The thick mackerel and generous amount of vegetables make for a tasty sandwich. On this particular day, I decided to take one sandwich to go, and it was still delicious when I had it later. They seem to be considering other menu options for lunch, but I definitely want to come back for the grilled mackerel sandwich. They offer a choice of hot or iced coffee after the meal, and it has a comforting deep roast flavor. I enjoyed it so much that I want to visit again in the evening.
