After visiting a customer, I had a lunch set that included beef cutlet and beef tongue. The meat was tender and delicious, but the dipping sauces - wasabi sauce, dashi soy sauce, and rock salt - were all just okay. None of them really stood out. I finished my meal while pondering this. Also, I noticed that the way they left the tables was quite unusual. Every table that wasn't occupied had the previous customer's tray still on it. Maybe the rule here is to clean up when the next person sits down. Hmm, interesting.

There is a shop on the 5th floor of the station building Terumi at Kinshicho Station. It seems to have opened recently. The seating is somewhat limited, so there may be a wait. I ordered the beef tongue set meal on this day. It included thick-cut beef tongue, grated yam, barley rice, and oxtail soup, which is quite traditional. I was surprised to find meatballs in the oxtail soup.

We visited this place with 2 people on a regular night after strolling around Kinshicho and ending up at Terumina for dinner. We sat at the counter since the 2-person table looked small. We started with a draft beer for 500 yen, which was a black label and tasted great. For food, I ordered the green onion salted beef tongue for 980 yen, a chorogi salad for 580 yen, and a stew set for 500 yen. My companion ordered the thinly sliced beef tongue set for 1680 yen. My beef tongue was a bit tough and the flavor was just okay. The chorogi salad was decently tasty. The mini stew that came with my companion's set was quite delicious with chunks of beef tongue in it. If it wasn't for the stew, the meal would have been disappointing. My companion thought the meal was just average. Overall, the black label beer and stew were the highlights of the meal.

I had the image of beef tongue set meal in my head, so I went to the 5th floor of Terumina. The windows of this restaurant face north, and you can see the Skytree quite close by! The menu includes beef tongue, beef cutlet, and other items. I was a bit distracted, but I ended up choosing the beef tongue lunch. I thought thinly sliced beef tongue would be easier to eat, but even the thick slices were tender and delicious. There was also a stove for reheating, but I didn't have time for that!

A new restaurant has opened in the station building (Termina) at the south exit of Kinshicho Station. There used to be a tempura restaurant there before. Since there is a beef tongue restaurant nearby, I decided to order the beef cutlet lunch. First, a mini iron plate was brought to the table. Apparently, you can cook the rare beef cutlet here to your liking. You can enjoy it rare or cook it thoroughly, but the smell of the solid fuel is ruining the dish. The meat was tender and delicious, so it felt like a waste. The meal came with grated yam and oxtail soup, which seems to be a standard for beef tongue restaurants. However, it was a first for me to find meatballs (pieces of beef tongue?) in the soup. Another thing is the sauce for the cutlet, which I couldn't quite figure out. It was divided into three sections with two different types of sauce, but there was no explanation provided when it was served. I checked the menu again, but couldn't find any explanation. This was also disappointing.

There is a Gyutan Aobadai at Terumina in Kinshicho! In Sendai, I often go to Aobatei, Rikyu, and Date no Gyutan Honpo in the station building Espal, but this is my first time at Aobadai. You can see the Skytree from the window, which adds to the atmosphere. It goes great with barley rice. The clear taste of the tail soup makes you feel refreshed.

Solo diner recommended rating: ★★★★☆
There are counter seats available, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy. This restaurant is newly opened on the 5th floor of Kinshicho Terumina. I went during the first 12 days when there was a discount.
- Special beef tongue and beef cutlet lunch set: 1,880 yen (excluding tax, discounted price)
I waited for about 15 minutes before the dishes were brought out. The beef cutlet is cooked on a hot plate to your liking. You can enjoy it with rock salt, mountain wasabi, or wasabi soy sauce. The mountain wasabi is highly recommended for its slightly sharp flavor. However, the beef cutlet wasn't freshly fried, probably due to being warmed on the hot plate.
The special beef tongue is thick and juicy, but it tastes similar to other beef tongue restaurants. The soup served is a typical soup found in beef tongue restaurants, with an unexpected addition of chicken meatballs. The plastic ladle used felt a bit cheap for a menu item of this price range. There are other delicious beef tongue restaurants available, so at regular prices, the cost performance may be questionable.

I visited Gyutan and Gyukatsu Aoba, which just opened on the 5th floor of Terumina, for lunch. The spacious dining area has large windows with a view of the Skytree. There was a teppanyaki grill on the table for cooking the Gyukatsu. I tried the Gyutan and Harami lunch this time, and I'd like to try the Gyukatsu next time. (^o^)

I visited Aoba-san in Kinshicho. I ordered the Grilled Beef Tongue Miso Set Meal for 1680 yen. I watched the movie "Fujieda Bai-an" and it was good. The beef tongue was delicious as usual. Thank you for the meal.

I went with a friend. I have allergies, so I asked for no green onions, and they kindly accommodated my request. We were able to enjoy a variety of dishes at a great price, and it made me want to visit Sendai.
