Good evening! After enjoying delicious yakiniku at Yakiniku Ichi in Umeda-Nakazaki and drinking almost a whole bottle of wine, I decided to release the smart medical student from my company. I messaged gourmet lady Y-chan and we met up at Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street. We planned to try a creative izakaya called "Sousou" but it was full, so we ended up going to another branch called "Nakanaka" in Temma, which was delicious. Unfortunately, Sousou will have to wait for another time. However, I have a strong intuition in situations like this. While strolling around the shopping street, I spotted a bar that looked intriguing. It turned out to be a specialty Islay whiskey bar called Bar Gekko. The atmosphere was cozy with dim lighting, and the lady with glasses behind the counter was very welcoming. Y-chan enjoyed the Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie, which she doesn't usually drink, but found it satisfying. As for me, the staff recommended Port Charlotte, which had a balanced mix of peatiness and smokiness, along with rich sweetness and depth. It was worth the price of 1800 yen per glass. After walking a few seconds from Yakiniku Tamaki, I arrived at the usual "Bar Gekkou". It's filled with Scotch whisky. But as I entered, ERIKA wasn't there!!! So, I decided to try the Bruichladdich. It has a high fragrance and tastes delicious. It's a truly luxurious Scotch. The flagship of Bruichladdich distillery, known for its floral and elegant style. Made with 100% Scottish barley and aged in American oak. Unlike other Islay whiskies, it's non-peated. Smooth, clean, fresh, and lively. Perfect harmony of oak and barley.

On April 30, 2022, for our second stop, we visited our usual spot, "Bar Tsukikage". It's filled with Scotch whiskies. I tried the Bruichladdich, which has a floral and elegant style. On April 28, near Yakiniku Tamaki in Nakazakicho, Osaka, I visited "Bar Gekko". It was quite stylish and nice! I started with a bottled beer for a toast. The pouring technique was good, resulting in a creamy foam. The appetizers were reasonably priced. The Gâteau au Chocolat was 500 yen and served cold, which was good! I also tried the "Chicken Ramen-kun" for 300 yen, which was also good and just right when you're already full. That's all for "Bar Gekko". I would love to visit again if I have the chance! (^^♪

I went to an event where you can eat right away! It's a small restaurant with only counter seats, but it had a relaxing atmosphere. I was surprised by how authentic the food was for a bar! The staff mentioned that they have a sister restaurant which focuses more on dishes and serves breakfast, and the meat is cooked at a low temperature which makes it really tender and delicious. The spinach mashed potatoes were also delicious! I'm really curious about the sister restaurant that serves breakfast.

I stopped by this place just a few minutes' walk from Nakazakicho Station and Tenjinbashi Rokuchome Station. The interior has only counter seats and is lit up in blue, creating a calm atmosphere. I decided to relax at "Bar Tsukikage" in the Tenroku-Nakazaki Shotengai based on the flow of things. The strong blue light that illuminates the bar may be inspired by moonlight. Everything in my field of vision is mixed with blue, giving a different atmosphere to even familiar things. I tried the Kowloon's Bar coffee liqueur, which seems to be an original blend. Event menu: roast beef, roast pork, steamed chicken, drink, all for 500 yen. Show your badge at the entrance and pay in advance before entering. Sit at the bar counter and chat while waiting. This place is known for serving only drinks from Scotland's Isle of Islay. It's a famous whisky island. I don't know much more about it. There are shelves full of bottles I've never seen before. I start with a highball, which is refreshing and delicious. The dishes arrive, each sliced one by one after ordering. They are all tasty without being too overpowering.
