赤鯉 ジュード

In the heart of Honmachi, there is a Japanese-style izakaya called "Gou-GO" located in the basement of the 10th floor of the Funaba Center Building on the west side of the intersection of Chuo-dori and Midosuji (Funaba Central 3). After an 8-day holiday break, I walked south on Midosuji to the Funaba Center Building, feeling tired from drinking and unsure of what I wanted to eat. I was in the mood for fresh fish, and luckily they had a variety of tuna dishes from Goto, Nagasaki. Today's lunch menu offered two options: Matsukado bento (850 yen) with tuna sashimi as the main dish, and Sangen pork sukiyaki (800 yen). I chose the Matsukado bento. The interior of the restaurant was playing Showa era songs, and my order arrived in just 6 minutes. The tuna was glossy and delicious, with perfect cuts of lean and medium fatty tuna, tuna simmered in soy sauce, tuna cutlet, and negitoro. It was truly a tuna feast! The miso soup with seaweed warmed my body and was a perfect end to the meal.
