I heard that a popular yakitori restaurant opened under the name "Otonage" so I decided to check it out. I walked in around 9 pm on a weekday without a reservation. The restaurant was spacious and had a relaxed layout. The background music and staff were on the older side, and the prices were not cheap, but the clientele was mostly young. I ordered a Perfect Suntory beer for 550 yen. The complimentary dish was pickles, which seemed familiar. I ordered liver yukke but received tongue yukke instead. The yakitori skewers ranged from 220 yen each. The portions were small but they focused on the side dishes. The choice of plates also seemed familiar, perhaps it's a trend. The specialty oden was mediocre, with a very white tonkotsu soup that seemed like it came from a commercial source. The glass for shochu on the rocks was small, and the alcohol content was minimal. We had a beer each, a shochu each, 3 skewers, and 2 dishes, which came to just under 6,800 yen for two people. We left early, watching the customers being drawn in by the popularity as they climbed the stairs one after another.

I thought it had become more like an izakaya, but I decided to try their lunch for the first time. It seems like this is also just the trend of the times. Smoking-permitted restaurants are increasing more and more. Looking back, there was a period when there was a brief non-smoking trend. The layout of the restaurant is basically the same, but the wide space in the middle has been turned into a standing bar counter. I ordered the MIX Stir-fry Set Meal (with free extra rice) for 1000 yen. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the liver. The seasoning was very light. The stir-fry was perfect, and as a liver and leek stir-fry, it was flawless, but right next to this place is "Vege Jiro". I still feel like this kind of dish should have more volume. Even if it's just leeks... or even just bean sprouts, if they were piled up high, I would have given it a high rating. But then the seasoning would have to be stronger... which would turn it into a different dish, haha.

It was delicious. From the liver skewers to the pickles served as an appetizer, everything was tasty. The skewer set of 5 items was brought one by one, allowing me to enjoy them slowly and I was very satisfied. The shochu mixed drink was a bit weak, which was perfect for me as I'm not good with strong alcohol.

I ordered a mixed lunch set. It was a stir-fry dish with harami and liver mix, and the liver was delicious. I want to order liver again!

The liver was very fresh and delicious. The white soup pork bone oden is likely to go viral in the future.

Eating Amireba with egg yolk is delicious! The spicy noodles at the end are the best!!

I tried oden with tonkotsu soup for the first time. It was a gentle and warming taste. Personally, I didn't like liver, but the "Ami Liver" and "Liver and Garlic Chives Stir-Fry" at this restaurant were delicious. I would like to go back again.

Stir-fried liver is the best.

I've tried various dishes but the cobukuro was too delicious. The pork bone soup with water dumplings was also amazing!!!

The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, I definitely want to come back.

I had never heard of Nodobue before, but it was seriously delicious. They only have a few servings available, but it's worth trying.
