A hidden gem of an izakaya located at the back of a small street in Shinbashi. Their motsu-yaki is incredibly delicious. Their Hois are recommended and priced at only 350 yen. They open from 4:00 PM, making it perfect for pre-drinks. Skewers start at 150 yen, and other dishes at 300 yen, making it a great deal overall. Highly recommended.

Near Uomori Shrine in Shinbashi, there is an izakaya that opens early and is great for a quick drink (lol). They have a good selection of hormone skewers and the simmered dishes were delicious. Oh, the alcoholic drinks are also cheap. The menu changes daily, and when I visited, there was no closing menu available...

I had about an hour before my meeting, so I stopped by my usual spot. It's really heartwarming to see them running the shop and overcoming the challenges of the pandemic. I had some pickles and a drink, and even though it was just one glass, I had a great time!

I heard a rumor about a new product called Coffee Shochu, so I decided to visit the shop. They make the Coffee Shochu by soaking coffee beans in shochu, which I never imagined before. But when I tried it, it was surprisingly delicious with a fragrant taste! They also recently started serving Lemon Sour for 500 yen. The drink contains frozen and sliced lemons with no ice, so the drink doesn't get diluted. The frozen lemons act as ice and turn into a sherbet-like texture, which was very tasty. When you finish the drink, they offer to add more lemon slices for an additional fee. This shop specializes in offal dishes, which I usually don't like, but their "Shiro" had no unpleasant smell, a perfect texture, and delicious sauce, making it very easy to eat. The simmered tofu was also excellent, with a delicious broth seeping into the tofu. Additionally, the daily appetizer, which was marinated mackerel on this day, was of such high quality that it didn't feel like just a complimentary dish. The refreshing sweet and sour taste of the mackerel was perfect for a hot and humid evening during the rainy season!

The state of emergency has been lifted, so I stopped by for a quick drink after work. Located in a narrow alley passed through Uomori Shrine, the shop has a large lantern with its name hanging outside. Several salarymen were standing and drinking at the counter in front of the shop, and you could see skewers being grilled through the window. The shop has a counter near the entrance and small tables at the back, creating a cozy atmosphere. I sat at one of the tables and ordered the recommended "Hoissu," which can only be found in Tokyo. It was surprisingly easy to drink, with herbs that made me feel like it might be good for my body. At only 350 yen per glass, it's quite a good deal and I might end up drinking too much. I tried the skewers of beef head, white meat, and negima, which were all delicious. The negima skewer only had one piece of green onion, which was a bit disappointing, but for 150 yen, I was satisfied. I look forward to trying out more dishes on my next visit.

The grilled pork skewers are delicious. All the other menu items are also tasty, but the pricing is quite mysterious. Chicken nuggets are 300 yen, while stir-fried bean sprouts are 500 yen... I don't really understand. It seems like the portion sizes have gotten a bit smaller compared to before. Also, there are some menu items that I can't quite figure out just by reading the name (lol).

This is a popular restaurant in Shinbashi with a well-known owner, Akira-san. He is a beloved figure in Shinbashi known for his kind personality and skilled grilling. If you want to experience the essence of Shinbashi, be sure to visit this place. Their specialty, the "hoisu," is addictive! For the ladies, I recommend trying the "baisu" or the lemon sour.
