This is a long-established shop that has been in business for 40 years. True to its original name as a "bar," brass pipes are installed on the counter and stairs, showing the elegance of a popular old shop from the 1980s. Today, I visited for an afternoon live performance. The shop's business hours start at 5:00 PM, but occasionally live performances are held during lunchtime. The interior of the shop is decorated in a decorative style reminiscent of the bubble era. Currently, the shop is completely non-smoking, but back then, it was probably filled with cigarette smoke. The remnants of that time are visible in the aged walls. Thank you for a great time!

I was taken to this bar by a friend, so I don't know the name of the building. The location is past the Shochikuza in Dotonbori, crossing Midosuji, and it's the first building on the corner. You have to go down some steep stairs to get to the bar. They play soothing jazz music, creating a relaxing atmosphere. My friend mentioned that they also have live performances, but unfortunately, there were none on the day we went. The interior is quite spacious with comfortable furniture and a calming ambiance, although the lighting is on the brighter side, making it suitable for women to visit alone. They have a good selection of drinks, including shochu. The cocktails are average. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming.

On June 15, 2011 (Wednesday) from 11:30 pm, I visited a bar in Minami on Midosuji West. This area tends to be less crowded. The bar has been passed down for 22 years from the previous owner, and the establishment itself has been around for 27 years. It belongs to a friend from my high school days at Osaka Uenomiya High School. The bar has a calming atmosphere with a British-style decor that exudes a sense of history. Even though I've never been to England...(^_^;) This is my first post after registering. When I'm alone, I can enjoy a drink until the last train! I wonder why I start using a more formal tone when drawing a bar on Tabelog. To all alumni from Uenomiya High School, please consider visiting this bar at least once. (^^♪

I had been somewhat curious about this restaurant for a while but never found the right timing to visit. However, this time I went with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised by the calm atmosphere of the place. The dishes were served at the perfect timing, freshly made, and the portion size was reasonable for the price. The only downside was that the alcohol prices felt a bit high, so it might be a bit pricey for those who drink a lot. Overall, I would recommend it for a quick drink and snack for about an hour or so.
