When in Osaka, my routine usually starts with a visit to a cafe for a light breakfast, so I don't usually have a big breakfast at the hotel, even if it's included in the room rate. However, the breakfast at this hotel was unexpectedly tempting. In addition to the usual hotel breakfast items, they had Osaka specialties like takoyaki, kushikatsu, nikuman, and more. The variety was impressive and we couldn't resist trying everything each morning. It was rare to find such a high-quality breakfast at a business hotel, and the entertainment factor of experiencing Osaka's cuisine was a pleasant surprise. It's a refreshing morning in February 2023! I woke up feeling great, got out of bed, washed my face, and got ready for breakfast. As soon as the restaurant opened, I headed to the buffet-style breakfast! I quickly picked out some easygoing and favorite items. It was a bit crowded, and I felt some eyes on me from behind, but I ignored it and made my choices. I went for the classic combination of wiener sausages, vegetable salad, and decided on curry for my main dish. I love having curry for breakfast, sometimes I even go for seconds! The morning curry is just irresistible with its rich and spicy sauce. All the other side dishes became supporting actors in comparison. The star of this morning's meal is definitely the curry! I visited here for breakfast during my business trip to Osaka. This time, breakfast was included in the plan so there was no additional charge, but the same-day ticket is 1200 yen. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:30, and I arrived at 7:00, so it was relatively empty. The items I had this time were shumai, wiener, kushikatsu (pork, squid), scrambled eggs, grilled salmon, yakisoba, spicy cod roe, salad, nikumushi gohan, oolong tea. Having kushikatsu and nikumushi gohan for breakfast really gives you the Osaka vibe. There were also takoyaki available. There were both multi-grain rice and white rice, and the white rice was hygienically served by a machine. This time, I had white rice. I particularly liked the nikumushi gohan and spicy cod roe, which could easily satisfy you for around 500 yen. It was delicious and I finished everything. I would like to stay here again on my next business trip to Osaka. Thank you for the meal.

This is a review for a business trip stay at Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi. The hotel is conveniently located just 5 meters from exit 4 of Namba Hatchobori Station. It takes about 7 minutes on foot to get to Shinsaibashi, which is very convenient. Even during the pandemic and state of emergency, I was able to stay for just over 3,000 yen with breakfast included. The breakfast had a great variety, including Osaka specialties like kushikatsu, takoyaki, and nikomi. They even had natto and several types of ochazuke. You could even go back for seconds! It was a very satisfying meal. Thank you very much.

(2020/09/12: Visit) This hotel was recommended for its convenient access to the downtown area and good security for my first visit to Osaka! It is located right next to Exit 4 of Nagahoribashi Station, with Dotonbori and Namba's bustling districts just a 10-minute walk away! The restaurant opens at 7 am, offering a buffet-style breakfast with about 30 dishes, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, it was served as a set meal style. The quality of the breakfast may have been slightly disappointing, but it still provided a decent balance for a good start before exploring more food options in the area! ^^;

The night before departure for the trip, around 10 pm, I managed to make a reservation somehow, and the hotel I stayed at for two days on this trip was Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi. It's part of the Route Inn Hotel group! The breakfast buffet here was very nice, with a different selection of dishes for both days and quite delicious. The standout for me was the perfectly cooked rice. It was just right, and it paired perfectly with the shredded spicy cod roe I had on the first day! I ended up going back for seconds (laughs). There was a group of old men over 50 who got quite drunk and caused a lot of trouble, including a friend of mine (sweat). I heard later that the staff handled it wonderfully (laughs). If I have the chance, I would like to stay at another Ark Hotel again. I don't know how much I spent on food and drinks on this trip, so I won't mention the cost and value for money.

The morning company opened at 7 o'clock, so I made a reservation here. I tried to find a place near Namba, but ended up around Shinsaibashi. It's convenient for my business trip tomorrow, but there don't seem to be any interesting bars around. I'm just going back to sleep. The only enjoyment is breakfast. I arrived late for the 7 o'clock opening, but the spacious area allows me to eat comfortably at the table. The fruit was grapes and the vegetables were leafy greens, which was a bit lonely. It's understandable that there's nothing special about Kansai. Thank you for the meal!

Whenever I have a business trip to Osaka, I always stay at Ark Hotel Higashi-Shinsaibashi. The location is a bit shady, but it's cheap, surprisingly spacious, surprisingly quiet, and surprisingly good. I stayed there for a whole month at the end of last year. However, I had never tried their breakfast before, so I gave it a try for the first time! They offer a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, around 30 in total. To be honest, it was not that great. I think the hotel has a high occupancy rate, so if they focus on improving their breakfast, it could increase their revenue and make guests happier. One thing that bothered me was the difference in attitude between the cleaning staff I passed in the hallway, who greeted me politely with a bow and a "good morning," and the lady in the breakfast area who stood in an inconvenient spot, looked grumpy, and didn't say anything. Why is there such a difference within the same hotel? Sorry for the digression. Good luck with improving the breakfast menu.

It was very reasonable, especially with the increasing number of foreign tourists. The buffet style breakfast includes not only standard menu items but also skewers, takoyaki, xiaolongbao, and local specialties. The highly recommended skewers are freshly replenished with 4 different types, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Rice options include white rice, mixed rice, and porridge, with curry also available. Soup options include meat suki, miso soup, and corn soup. There is a wide variety of Japanese and Western side dishes, with the mini steamed pork buns and shumai being particularly delicious. There is a variety of salads, almost too much to finish. The only downside is the limited egg menu, but overall, it is excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet at Ark Hotel where I stayed during my trip to Osaka was great with a wide variety of options. There were unique Kansai dishes like takoyaki, kushikatsu, and nikumaki. It seems close to the station. The room feels very small, but the breakfast was good. There were many foreigners.

A typical business hotel located right above the Chuo Line Nagahori Tsurumi-Ryokuchi Line Nagahoribashi Station. The hotel has a restaurant on the 2nd floor and a cafe on the 1st floor. When I stayed here over 30 years ago, this station did not exist. Over the past 30 years, the cafe now closes at 6 pm, and the restaurant only serves breakfast. The gyudon restaurant on the south side of the hotel was there 30 years ago, but they didn't have alcohol like they do now. I had gyudon and beer there. The complimentary breakfast at the hotel was served in a buffet style. I couldn't find natto, so I chose curry instead. The curry was not spicy but had a nice kick to it. The natto was not on the table but in the refrigerator.
