The coffee soft serve is very creamy and has a strong coffee flavor. It's slightly sweet. The location is convenient, just a 2-minute walk from the B2 elevator exit at Ginza Station. Since it's a coffee shop, the soft serve and coffee are available for takeout only.

Sawai Coffee Shop has relocated to the Ginza 3-chome area on Ginza Brick Street. The cafe is gone, and it has been replaced by a coffee shop that sells coffee and other items. Since I rarely brew coffee at home, I wasn't sure what to do, but then I discovered they have a takeout menu. The coffee is only 220 yen, which is unbelievably cheap for Ginza. In an area where a cup of coffee at a cafe can cost over 1000 yen, this price was truly surprising. I was impressed by the affordability. On this hot day, I decided to try the Mocha Soft Serve for 460 yen. The soft serve was also reasonably priced for Ginza (other places charge 600 yen for gelato or over 1000 yen for soft serve). Since it was for takeout, there was no seating inside the shop, so I had to walk around carefully while enjoying my soft serve. The mocha flavor was strong and delightful, with a refreshing aftertaste that really brought out the best of the coffee. Walking down the retro atmosphere of Ginza Brick Street with a Mocha Soft Serve in hand was quite a sophisticated experience. It had been a while since I had such delicious soft serve, and I was satisfied!

Sawai Coffee Shop has quietly relocated and now only offers takeout for merchandise and drinks. Unfortunately, their wonderful afternoon tea is now just a memory! The shop is now only on the first floor, focusing on selling coffee beans and drip coffee packs. They also have collaboration coffee products featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Detective Conan, which could make great gifts. For takeout, they offer coffee and iced coffee for 220 yen each. They still have their Ginza Coffee Soft Serve available for takeout at 460 yen. When I ordered an iced coffee, they mentioned that their ice machine was broken, so they asked if it was okay without ice. Since I don't mind cold drinks, it wasn't a problem. The coffee still had a slight bitterness, mild acidity, and a good richness. And the price of 220 yen is quite reasonable these days. They also gave me a drip coffee pack as a souvenir and a 10% off coupon for my next purchase, which was very generous. I look forward to trying their soft serve next time!

This place has moved and no longer operates as a cafe, but they still sell coffee and soft serve ice cream. However, they only offer takeout service and ask customers to refrain from dining in. It was scorching hot, so I gave up on getting soft serve and bought a few baked goods instead. The lemon Gâteau au Citron was round with a hollow center filled with lemon marmalade. It was more sweet than sour. The long stick cake was plain and had a color similar to financiers. It was softer than it looked, and the taste was just average.
