There is a 5-story building called Higashi Kanda Ichoku Building along Yasukuni Street, near the Higashi Kanda 1-chome pedestrian bridge, next to Soba Sen. The first and second floors are rented out as food booths, creating a food court-like atmosphere. The Coffee Counter Tokyo is a coffee stand located near the entrance on the first floor. There is seating available for dining in. The interior has sofa seating and terrace seating facing the road. They serve coffee, sweets, paninis, and sandwiches. The coffee is made using ALLPRESS ESPRESSO beans from Kiyosumi Shirakawa and brewed with a La Marzocco espresso machine. They offer homemade cookies and "scukkies" (scones + cookies) for sweets. The morning set costs 800 yen, and the lunch set costs 1,000 yen. I stopped by to have the morning set on this day. It was run by a woman alone. The morning set includes a croissant and a drink. I had an iced Flat White for my drink. The Flat White was rich and creamy with a delicious milkiness. The croissant had a crispy and flaky exterior with a juicy interior. I enjoyed my delicious coffee and croissant on the sofa seating by the roadside.
