I sometimes go there. I always order the service set (beer), so the mama-san asks me if I want the usual. It's nice that they ask.

Next week is May, but the wind is still cold. So, I decided to have some piping hot yakiniku. Located along a private railway line running parallel to the dirty river, this place has a somewhat run-down feel, but if you climb a little uphill, you'll find the most upscale residential area in Suita City. There are about 10 seats lined up at the counter, and it's a typical neighborhood yakiniku joint where you cook your meat on a roaster. On TV, the Hanshin Tigers lost to the Giants 1-3. The menu on the wall is small and hard to read, but squinting my eyes, I ordered the following: Draft beer ¥500, Namul assortment ¥550, Salted tongue ¥1000, Top harami ¥750, and Teppanyaki-style beef skewers ¥580. The draft beer is Asahi, which tastes good since I usually drink Prime Rich. The first dish that came out was the salted tongue, served with tongs. It was a standard cut, but lacked flavor. Next was the Namul assortment, which included fern shoots, spinach, and bean sprouts. It was my first time trying Namul with vinegar, and I didn't like it. When I ordered the harami and teppanyaki-style beef skewers, the skewers came out first. I felt a bit frustrated with the rigid order. The beef skewers were cooked perfectly, with crispy skin and juicy fat. The top harami was grilled to a nice char and had a delicious flavor. I decided to skip the carb dish and ordered more harami and the "number one ticket" to finish off the meal. The harami was juicy and tasty.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. It only has a counter. I went around 7 o'clock and it was quickly full. They have set meals like yakiniku starting from around 1280 yen, so I think it's a convenient place. The proprietress runs the place by herself. I ordered beer, hormone set, special set, kimchi, etc. The tare sauce is soy sauce-based but also includes garlic, not just the typical Osaka style. First, I tried the kimchi. Delicious. The special set includes kalbi, top-grade sirloin, etc., but the sirloin is incredibly tasty. Even though I'm not a fan of fatty meat, I could eat several pieces of this. The hormone set has small portions of tripe but the intestine is fatty and goes well with the sauce. The kimchi hot pot at the end was also delicious. It's a yakiniku restaurant that is easy to visit regularly. I will come back again! Thank you for the meal!
