A shop in the Mochikichi series, known for their rice crackers. I have a fondness for Mochikichi because I spent my student days in the Chikuho area. At my parents' house, there are big cans of Mochikichi that we received as year-end gifts or greetings, and they were used to store receipts and DMs. It's quite a common thing in the Chikuho region (laughs). When it comes to non-sweet snacks, I used to think there was nothing better than pizza-flavored potato chips! But eating it every night can get boring, and rice crackers taste great with tea. Normally, a bag of rice crackers costs 350 yen, but on days with the number 8, you can get two bags for 500 yen (excluding tax)! It's a great deal, and the zippered bag keeps them from getting moist, so I try to restock on days with the number 8. Despite being labeled as "unsorted," there are hardly any broken pieces, so it's perfect for personal use. I only buy soy sauce and grilled salt flavors for myself, but I like the basic deliciousness (*^^*). There were about 8 varieties, including almond and sweetened with syrup. The soy sauce flavor is like the base of rice cracker with a slightly sweet soy sauce taste. The grilled salt flavor is like a typical salad rice cracker, with a slightly reduced umami taste and salt taking the spotlight. It's not too salty and easy to eat. They also sell beautifully packaged rice crackers and hina-arare, which would make great little gifts. I enjoyed looking at them (*´∀`*)
