"Osaka Prefecture" Osaka City, Yodogawa Ward, Nishi-Nakajima 4-5-22, 1F of the 3rd Shin-Osaka Building is the top-ranked restaurant in Osaka Prefecture♪ ★3.80★ It is a "Hyakumeiten" where about 40 people visit daily. When the ingredients are running low, the number of customers may be even fewer, so it's essential to line up early in the morning. I visited on a Saturday at around 9:30 when the registration desk opens, so I arrived around 9:00. Wow, there were already about 20 people lined up, making me worry if I could get in today. First, for those planning to visit, here's a "how-to" review: Some people start lining up as early as 8:00, and when I arrived at 9:00, it was a close call whether I could get in or not! Reservations are divided into four time slots: 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00. Even if you register at 9:30, you may have to wait 1.5 hours until the earliest slot at 11:00. You must be prepared and have no room for error! Laughter. I had work scheduled for lunch, aiming for 13:00, but the only available slots were at 14:00. Oh no, I reluctantly wrote down the names for two people. It ended up being later than planned, but it's better to eat late than not at all, right? Laugh. Early in the morning, Agent Nabe-chan picked me up from Kyoto by car and off we went to work. Oh, after a lot of thinking, my work went smoothly as planned, and I had to wait for two hours until 14:00. Oh, I'm starving, indeed. Tears. We took a taxi from the Shin-Osaka hideout, and I revisited with Agent Nabe-chan at 13:50. There were still people not leaving in front of the restaurant, and it was quite chaotic with people who had the same reservation time. We were made to wait until the scheduled time and finally entered. Ten people lined up in an orderly manner from the back of the counter, and orders were taken from the back. Those who ordered first seemed to guide the others, so there were many "extra toppings" and "extra rice" orders. We wanted to eat and drink well, so we ordered "Special" + "Two bottles of Ebisu beer"♪ The difference in rank lies in the size of the eel and the amount of side dishes. The "Special" set includes eel rice bowl, eel on rice, eel roll, Hachiman roll, and liver sashimi, and of course, we asked for extra rice. Watching the process of cutting, skewering, and grilling from behind the counter was thrilling for those who started. Agent Nabe-chan was watching intently, but "photography of the cooking process is prohibited." Only photos of the dishes on the table were allowed. First, we toasted with eel on rice and beer♪ In no time, we ordered another bottle♪ From the eel on rice, eel roll, and Hachiman roll, we switched to chilled sake♪ Once the liver sashimi was served, the eel rice bowl was presented with a bang! We had been waiting for this moment♪ The eel is grilled in the "Kansai style" with sauce, but the rice is not covered in sauce, so you can add your preferred amount of sansho pepper for an extra kick. I personally prefer the crispy and fragrant "Kansai style" over the fluffy "Kanto style." By the way, the term "style" indicates the tradition of cooking. Laughter. Thank you for reading until the end. Ah, it was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪
