I had heard rumors about this place for a while, but never had the chance to visit because it was always crowded. I was looking forward to trying it out while in Tokyo, but unfortunately, it was closed due to COVID-19. In the end, I ended up having steak in the Shibuya area instead...

I had the opportunity to try Kobe beef steak in Shibuya, holding 10,000 yen in my hand. The steak came with beer, vegetables, and garlic fried rice, priced at 7,500 yen for the sirloin and 8,000 yen for the fillet (150g). At first, I doubted if it was really Kobe beef considering the price, but once I tasted it, there was no doubt it was indeed Kobe beef! I had the fillet, and the high-quality sweetness of the meat's fat and its melt-in-your-mouth tenderness made me finish it in no time. For those who enjoy fatty meat, I recommend trying the sirloin as well. The restaurant seems to focus on inbound customers, as there were many foreigners and the menu was mostly in English. It felt like a hidden gem. If you were to eat this in Ginza, it would easily exceed 20,000 yen, so the price here was exceptional.

When I want to eat teppanyaki, I always visit Shiraaki without hesitation. However, I haven't had the chance to come here for about 5 years, so this is my first time writing a review on Tabelog. The restaurant has around 20 seats, including counter and tables, and it's not that big, but the structure allows you to see the cooking process from any seat, which is enjoyable. The fillet steak and sirloin steak here are unbelievably delicious. They are tender, juicy, and the umami that oozes out when you bite into the meat is hard to find in other restaurants. Just watching the good meat being cooked in front of you makes the conversation lively, raises your spirits, and makes the alcohol go down smoothly.

I happened to walk in without a reservation at 7:00 pm on a weekday. The restaurant had 8 counter seats and 6 table seats at 2 tables. It was full of foreign tourists. The mother, who has a 52-year career, was friendly with her son and grandchildren. They cook teppanyaki right in front of you. We enjoyed delicious food at a more reasonable price than at a hotel. It seems to be popular among foreign tourists. I recommend making a reservation. We had 2 sets of 180g fillet, 1 beef tongue, 1 garlic rice, 2 red miso soups, and a bottle of red wine, which cost around 25,000 yen.

It seems that this teppanyaki restaurant has been featured in famous guidebooks overseas. They serve Kobe beef steak. The restaurant is filled with foreign customers, around 15 people from various countries. Reservations are required. When I entered, I was mistaken for a foreigner and was spoken to in English. Eventually, they realized I was Japanese. The restaurant is full, with three groups of customers at the tables. A single staff member cooks in front of you. The menu is à la carte, but there are some items unavailable. The service is mostly in English, and the drinks are served in supermarket brand cans or bottles. The bread is from a well-known manufacturer, clearly visible in its packaging. The meat is undeniably delicious, the best I've ever had. It's sweet, melts in your mouth, and not too heavy. It truly makes you feel like you're dining at a teppanyaki restaurant in Japan while overseas.

I went on a business trip from Shikoku to Tokyo, and met up with my colleagues in Shibuya for teppanyaki. We went to a stylish restaurant with 4 tables and 8 counter seats, but it was packed with 8 foreigners and 8 Japanese customers. They first served us lightly toasted bread, then placed the grilled items on top of it. We had chicken, beef tongue, asparagus, tofu, and konjac. For the finale, we had okonomiyaki and yakisoba. The foreigners enjoyed the wagyu beef, but we opted for a healthier choice. Lastly, we enjoyed various flavored bread on top of garlic butter. We finished off with almost empty bottles of shochu and full bellies. We took a bus back near my house, and on the way, I received a call from Akichan who couldn't make it today. She expressed interest in joining us next time in December when another colleague will be visiting Tokyo.

A restaurant specializing in Kobe beef steak. We visited on a Saturday evening at 6pm and were the first customers. A few more groups came in over the next 2 hours. It wasn't very crowded, maybe because it was a Saturday. Besides steak, they also had okonomiyaki, but we wanted to try the steak. They cut pieces of Kobe beef for each order. We ordered the sirloin and fillet to share. They cooked the salad, vegetables, and meat on a hot plate, making sure it was cooked perfectly before serving it on bread to prevent overcooking. They even gave us garlic toast with the bread soaked in meat juices at the end, which was a nice touch. We also ordered garlic rice and red miso soup, and had beer and wine, costing around 10,000 yen per person. It's not a cheap meal, but definitely worth it. We would like to visit this restaurant again.

I visited the restaurant without a reservation because it was near my house. When asked if I had a reservation, I said no. Luckily, I was allowed to sit at the counter. At first, there were about four foreigners, but after about 30 minutes, everyone except me was a foreigner! I wonder if this place is featured in a travel magazine for foreigners? The food was cooked by an old lady, not an old man as I had expected (laughs). It was extremely delicious! They didn't ask me how I wanted my food cooked (laughs). It was a very homey restaurant. Lastly, the waiter asked me why I came. I answered that I was just passing by because I live nearby. He laughed and said, "Please come again." I will definitely go back (laughs).

I went to a restaurant with my drinking buddies and live music friends because we decided to "let's eat some meat for a change!" The location of the restaurant is near Shibuya Station but away from the hustle and bustle. We ordered vegetables (eggplant, bean sprouts, onions, etc.) and garlic toast. I think we also ordered a course of pork loin. I arrived late due to work, so I'm not sure what I ordered (laughs). We also added another pork loin! We had a little bit of beer, 2 bottles of red wine, and 1 bottle of white wine for the 4 of us. The meat was tender and delicious. The first pork loin was cooked medium rare because we didn't specify the cooking style. The second pork loin was rare, which is my favorite. It was nice to have it cooked on a large iron plate right in front of us, creating a great atmosphere. The restaurant seemed to be popular as there were many foreign customers coming in while we were dining. I may not be able to visit frequently, but I would like to go back for more meat. "Thank you for the meal!"

I went to this restaurant, which is famous for its Kobe beef steak, with a friend. There were various menus available, but we decided to order Kobe beef, of course. The meat was juicy and very delicious, and it was great to have it cooked on a hot plate. It's not cheap, but the taste is worth it, and I also appreciated the good service from the staff. It's definitely a restaurant I would like to visit again.

This restaurant is a must-visit for the owner of a world-famous watchmaker when they visit Japan. Unlike fancy steak houses, it's a cozy place to enjoy a meal. It's run by a mother and son, and the mother seems to have a fun personality - she's always drinking beer. The steak is always delicious. It's interesting that they toast bread on the grill before cooking the steak and place it on top. It's a casual place, so you can feel free to stop by anytime!

I happened to pass by and decided to go in, and I was very satisfied with the leisurely and delicious meat. I sat at the counter in front of the teppan and had the chef cook in front of me. There are also teppan grills at the table seats, and the staff will assist each group. This style is often found in high-end restaurants for entertaining, but this place is family-run and has a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the Kobe beef fillet set. Grilled vegetables (onion, pumpkin, eggplant, eringi). Salad. Beef steak. First, thin toast bread is lightly grilled and placed on the teppan in front of each person. This serves as a plate, and the grilled ingredients are served here so you can eat at your own pace with chopsticks. (This way, the food doesn't get cold or overcooked, which is nice.) Finally, the bread soaked in fat is grilled until crispy, and it's also delicious. The clientele when I visited consisted mostly of male groups of bosses and subordinates, regular customers, etc., mostly aged 50 and above. Even when it got quite lively, the master made sure to interact with each group and provide good service. The restaurant has been in Shibuya (Minamihirano) for over 40 years. The interior and the motherly figure of the master's mother give off a very Showa-era vibe, but the taste, price, and service are all just right, making it a place I'm likely to return to. I plan to go again.

A steak restaurant in Shibuya. I ordered delivery from the menu - the Shiraaki premium steak bento with yakisoba. The Shiraaki premium steak bento was surprisingly generous in portion, unlike other high-end steak bento boxes. The rice was also plentiful. The yakisoba had a good amount of volume and left me feeling satisfied.
