I came to Ion Kuwazon for shopping. Wow, the snow is really bad, isn't it? But driving around, it seems like the snow removal in Chuo Ward is still decent. Sapporo is a huge city, so I think there may be some differences in snowfall amounts depending on the ward, but I wonder if there are also differences in how much effort is put into snow removal? I thought the snow on the roads in the neighboring Kita Ward was dangerous. Now, I parked at Ion Kuwazon and planned to go shopping, but I got hungry. I remembered that there were various shops under the JR overpass. The retro look of this yakiniku restaurant caught my eye, so I decided to go in. It was 6:30 PM on a weekday, and the table seats were full, so I was seated at the empty counter. Looking at the menu, the prices seemed reasonable. Hormone and Genghis Khan were recommended. My partner, who had completely given up on driving because of the snow, was eager to drink and ordered the "Thank You Set." It was indeed a good deal, with 2 alcoholic drinks, beef Harami, chicken seseri, pork hormone, and kimchi for 1,580 yen. Limited to one order per person. We ordered one "Thank You Set" and then ordered raw lamb Genghis Khan, premium beef tongue, and select thick-cut beef liver. I was curious about how to enjoy both Genghis Khan and yakiniku, and then a rectangular shichirin appeared. On top of that was a cast iron pot for Genghis Khan. You grill the yakiniku in the remaining 1/3 space. I see, you can enjoy both at the same time. For the Genghis Khan, they put mainly onions and other vegetables. The lamb meat is from Iceland, as written on the menu. When grilled and eaten, there is no hint of any smell. The Icelandic meat is undeniably delicious. Moreover, surprisingly, it comes in two varieties: "red" with lean meat and "white" with fatty meat. The red meat is moist, and the white meat is juicy with fat. Hmm, this is delicious! I want another serving (laughs). In the yakiniku corner, we tried grilling the premium beef tongue. It has a lot of fat, almost catching fire. We eat it when the surface is crispy. Tender, juicy, and crispy. This beef tongue is delicious. It might be the most delicious beef tongue I've had in Hokkaido. It's quite good. The liver is honestly thick-cut, and it looks like it could be eaten raw... As expected, eating it raw would be risky, so we quickly grill the surface. Hmm, rich! Delicious! There are other menu items I want to order, but I'm full. It's a reasonably priced restaurant that I'd like to visit again. Thank you for the meal. ☆3.46
