Yesterday was my mother's birthday. Every year, I used to buy a cake and candles, and she would blow them out. But it seemed like a hassle, so this year I decided to just buy her favorite daifuku instead. My mother doesn't really like Western sweets, so I went to Kyuseifuku Shoten in the Aeon mall, which is easy to get to. They had three types of daifuku: salted, mugwort, and walnut. Since we had bought the salted one before, I chose the mugwort daifuku this time. It cost 583 yen. The next morning, my mother said that the daifuku was small but had a good chewy texture and was delicious. It wasn't just small and expensive, as I had thought. Kusefuku Shoten on the 1st floor of Ion Kitahanda offers high-quality food products. While hot pot season is in full swing, today I purchased a different seasoning. I wanted to add a little extra flair to my dish, so I decided to go with the yuzu pepper shiso genovese. The refreshing spiciness of yuzu pepper enhances the dish even more. I already love genovese, but I'm curious to see how it tastes with shiso. I'm looking forward to making it now. Bon appétit!

The packaging is beautiful and the original products are lined up, all looking so delicious at this store. I heard that the dressings are recommended, so I stopped by. I found the dressing I was looking for, but there were more varieties than I imagined, and I was so indecisive. The dressings made with rice oil - yuzu mayo and Kusefuku's Shinshu country miso give an overall slightly luxurious image. The dressings are around 400 yen for 120ml, it might disappear in an instant (laughs). They are so delicious with a strong citrus scent and a refreshing taste, I really liked it. Miso can be influenced by individual preferences, but this simple and delicious miso was great. I would definitely buy this dressing again if I see it. Highly recommended! ♡

I went to Kitahanada AEON on this day and on my way back, I bought my usual onion senbei from Kyuseifuku. I have bought and eaten it many times, but I still don't get tired of it... It's a snack that suits my taste very well. I will definitely buy it again. Thank you for the meal.

This place gives off the impression of selling a lot of healthy items. When you eat crackers with blueberry jam or fruit jam, anko butter or matcha anko butter, it's so delicious! I always end up eating a lot! 😂😂

Large shopping malls are convenient, right? You can find everything you need in one place. After buying a birthday cake for my mother, I looked for her favorite Japanese sweets (especially daifuku). I found just the right one - Echigo's Specialty Salt Daifuku for 518 yen (tax included). There were several types in the refrigerated section, so I wondered if they would last long. But when I checked the expiration date, it was only for that day... I hope they don't sell out! The pack had 3 slightly small daifuku for this price, which felt a bit expensive, but I'm sure they're delicious! I'll ask my mother for her feedback later, and if she likes them, I might buy some for myself too. Stay tuned for more! Update: The rating given is based on my mother's opinion after trying them. They are not straight, but already broken type. The color is very yellow! For a home-cooked meal, I tried it with chicken and eggplant cream sauce. The noodles are not chewy, but rather slippery, and they go well with the chicken and eggplant cream sauce♡ The salted banana & coconut chips have a crispy texture and are very delicious.
