Entering MOZZ' BAR without any prior information may seem a bit daunting at first due to its unassuming entrance. However, in a neighborhood like Nishijin where bars are scarce compared to izakayas, this place is quite convenient. The interior can accommodate around 6-7 people sitting down, with some groups of 3-4 chatting away, couples enjoying drinks at the counter, and even individuals chatting with the master. They have a wide variety of whiskies, making it a great place to linger. Personally, I recommend the Kiss Choco (laughs). Located near Nishijin Shotengai, along Haruyoshi Street, this bar may have a plain staircase leading downstairs, but the friendly owner prepares delicious drinks. They offer a wide variety of snacks like beef stew, and stay open late, making it convenient for visitors. I initially thought there weren't many bars around Nishijin Shotengai, but walking around at night proved me wrong. This place is located near Cyber Back on Haruyoshi Street. I discovered it one late night and have visited several times since, as the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming. The owner, who appears to be in his 30s, is cheerful and offers advice on drinks, making it a comfortable space for first-time visitors, including women. The entrance may look intimidating, but they have a good selection of whiskies, rums, tequilas, and more. They even let you sample unfamiliar bottles, which is much appreciated. I usually stick to Scotch, but this time I ended up discussing bourbon and learning about different types. It's a great spot when it's not too crowded, but you never know until you go in.
