A teppanyaki restaurant located on the first floor of the APA Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower, along Shokuan-dori. They offer a variety of lunch sets ranging from 1500 yen to 2500 yen. Even during lunchtime, you can enjoy a teppanyaki course for 6000 yen. As it was my first time, I opted for the 1500 yen lunch set, which included a rare short-horn wagyu minced hamburger steak set and a spicy grilled beef curry set. The dishes were served in colorful plates, with generous portions and plenty of vegetables. The meat, in particular, was delicious. Although the hamburger steak may seem small at first glance, the coarse minced meat had a rich and flavorful presence, and the quality of the meat was satisfying for the price. I chose the mixed rice over white rice, which complemented the meat well without overpowering it. The curry had a Japanese-style flavor with a hint of cloves, easy to eat and not too spicy, but with a pleasant aroma of spices. The sweetness of the onions in the curry left a lasting impression. While enjoying the meal, I found myself wanting to try their nikujaga (meat and potato stew). The lunch set also came with a dessert, which on that day was a kinako (soybean flour) and dried fruit pudding. You can also add a cup of coffee for an additional 100 yen. The new building had excellent ventilation, yet the heating was effective, so it was not cold inside.
