Today, I went to a private party in Shinchi and decided to end the night by myself. I was curious about a place called "Yamatobi" in Kita-Shinchi, so I went there. The simple yet stylish interior of the restaurant gave off a Kita-Shinchi vibe. Since it was almost closing time, I decided to just order one dish with a non-alcoholic drink. I tried their specialty "Yamatobi's secret green onion okonomiyaki" for 1040 yen. The surface of the okonomiyaki had a soft crepe-like texture with a gentle dashi flavor, while the inside was incredibly soft and creamy. The crispy chopped green onions added a sweet touch, and the occasional hint of ginger provided a nice kick. It was a perfect way to end the night. They also had a variety of other dishes on the menu, so I definitely want to go back to try more.

There is a building with an exit from Eirakucho Street in Kitashinchi, on the first floor. A TV was installed, showing a baseball game. The Hanshin team caught up to tie the score on the 8th floor, creating excitement. The interior has a counter with 4 seats and 4 tables for 4 people each. I ordered a bottled beer but they didn't have it, so I had a draft beer instead. Then I switched to a whiskey highball. I looked at the menu and saw that Negiyaki is a specialty. I started with Kimchi for 490 yen. I also ordered a vegetable stir-fry for 890 yen. It had pork belly, onions, cabbage, bean sprouts, mitsuba, enoki mushrooms, squid, shrimp, and other ingredients, seasoned simply with salt and pepper. Ponzu sauce was provided on the side for dipping. I also ordered Okonomiyaki Mix for 1360 yen. I could see pork and squid, but couldn't find other ingredients listed. The pancake had plenty of eggs, topped with seaweed, bonito flakes, mayonnaise, and chopped green onions. The taste was just average. However, I couldn't understand the reason for the high price. There were some not-so-good moments, so overall it was disappointing.

On Monday, I felt like having some light and delicious flour-based dishes.

I went to an okonomiyaki restaurant in Kita-Shinchi, Osaka. Taste: Delicious. I recommend the okonomiyaki with natto and kimchi, which was really good. It had a lot of natto and kimchi, almost forgetting it was okonomiyaki. The grilled oysters were also delicious. Service: It wasn't exceptional, but the owner was attentive. There were only two people running the place, but the food and drinks came out smoothly without any complaints. Atmosphere: The interior is a bit small and cozy. There are a few counter seats for teppanyaki style. Cost performance: I'm not sure about the prices as I was treated. Drinks: The drink selection is average.

I came to this okonomiyaki restaurant while looking for a place to eat near my neighborhood. The atmosphere was friendly, and the owner even joined our conversation about dogs. The restaurant gets busy around 6 pm with hostesses and customers, and by 8:30-9 pm, it starts to calm down. I ordered pork kimchi, chicken gizzards, and a few drinks, all of which were delicious. I also tried the okonomiyaki with oysters, which I had been craving. After enjoying my meal, I switched to sake and had a satisfying experience. Later, my colleague realized he had forgotten his wallet at work, but we ended the night with coffee.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great! The dishes that go well with alcohol are delicious! Of course, the okonomiyaki and yakisoba are excellent! I recommend the mentaiko yakisoba udon☆ Definitely try it out!
