There is a hidden farm road from Saya to Abashiri, and I always wondered why there is a yakiniku restaurant in such a place. Next to it is a butcher shop, so the freshness of the meat is guaranteed. It was a Saturday, so there were quite a few cars parked. There were about 20 customers, and it seemed like a party. We were guided to a small raised area and an old lady brought a yakiniku grill. This old lady is quite a character. She has a really bad attitude. She looks like she can't be bothered... Right after meeting her, she immediately asked, "Could you please turn on the gas valve?" Wow, she's already ordering us around. She lit the grill, took our orders, and then retreated. ...And now we wait. The smoke is billowing out, but where's the meat? There are a lot of customers, so I understand it might take some time, but isn't lighting the fire supposed to be quick? Finally, the meat arrives. It's quite thick. Can't wait to try it. The beef sagari is delicious. As expected from a butcher shop. The salted hormone and pork tongue were also very tasty. The best was the raw lamb, juicy and delicious. We ordered more beef sagari and ice cream. The ice cream is only 150 yen, so cheap. After a while, the old lady reappeared. For some reason, she brought us pork sagari and ice cream on a cone. Even though they are different cuts... Eating ice cream on a cone while eating yakiniku with your right hand is quite challenging! Overall, the taste is great, but the old lady's customer service is appalling. Zero sense of customer service, very unpleasant. The meat is delicious though. I recommend the raw lamb. It's really good.
