"The concept is the best ordinary taste, meaning a taste that you can enjoy every day without getting tired of it, like the deliciousness of home-cooked meals. This can be found at "Ko Gyoza" in the depachika of Seibu Ikebukuro. They also have a branch in Tobu's depachika. The lady with the signboard at this shop is highly praised. I visited when that lady was there. My favorite is the "Shiso Gyoza" (112 yen per piece) at Ko Gyoza. Instead of chopped shiso in the filling, they spread shiso on the wrapper and wrap the filling with it. The "Black Pork Gyoza" (165 yen per piece) has a noticeable sweetness and richness in the meat. It has a taste similar to a pork bun, which I find delicious. The "New Ginger Gyoza" (108 yen per piece) was a limited edition item in July. The taste of ginger was well distributed throughout, truly living up to the concept. Thank you for the meal. I took the opportunity to chat with the lady. ...I see, I thought. (laughs) The August limited edition item, "Green Chili Gyoza," is always very popular every year, she said. She proudly pulled out a poster, asking me to take a photo, so I did. She looked good in a Seibu Lions uniform. (By Kyanatsuki, August 10, 2023)"

[Visit on July 2, 2016] Location: This shop is located in the basement floor of Seibu, directly connected from Ikebukuro Station. I visited around 6:30 pm on Saturday. Besides this shop, there are various other stores like yakitori shops and Western confectionery shops around, typical of a department store basement. I love dumplings, so I bought a pack of 6 Hao Gyoza for 388 yen as a snack with alcohol and for a late-night meal. I enjoyed the dumplings cold without reheating them about 3 hours after purchase. They were large and tasted delicious with soy sauce. Perfect for a snack with alcohol! These are high-quality dumplings. Besides dumplings, they also sell scallop shumai, so I would like to try them when I visit their affiliated store. Thank you for the meal.

I bought it the other day, but I bought it again, Good Gyoza-san ♪ ( ´▽`) When I searched for Good Gyoza in Ikebukuro on Tabelog, it didn't show up, so I wonder if it's something different?? The taste was still delicious. Maybe the person who registered the store made a mistake...? I bought Good Gyoza-san in Omiya before, and this time I bought it in Ikebukuro ♪ ( ´▽`) Good Gyoza-san is also available in Shinjuku, and it's in various department stores, which makes me happy. Although Gyoza no Ohsho is cheap and delicious, my recommendation is this Gyoza ♪ ( ´▽`) Good Gyoza-san's gyoza is not too garlicky, so you don't have to worry too much even when you meet people later, so you can eat it with peace of mind even when you have work the next day ♪ ( ´▽`) I love the feeling of the meat juice overflowing when you bite into the gyoza that has been heated up in a frying pan and is piping hot (*´ω`) I usually eat the gyoza as it is and had never used the accompanying sauce, so I tried putting it in a small dish this time haha I was a little surprised that Good Gyoza-san's sauce already had chili oil in it. People who are not good with spicy food should be a little careful, it's surprisingly spicy and delicious ♪ ( ´▽`) But personally, I still prefer it with a lot of vinegar, so in the end, it becomes diluted haha Thank you for the always delicious gyoza.

I wanted to eat gyoza that day, so I remembered that there was a gyoza shop in the Seibu Ikebukuro department store basement and decided to stop by. The shop is small, but they have a variety of gyoza displayed in the showcase. The regular gyoza was 69 yen each, while the shiso gyoza and edamame gyoza were 100 yen each. If you buy 3 or more, you get a little discount. I noticed a great deal pack that had 12 gyoza in it, so I decided to go for that to avoid the hassle of choosing individual pieces. The pack included 4 each of regular gyoza, shiso gyoza, and edamame gyoza for 966 yen. The gyoza was filled with plenty of ingredients and the meat was tender. Personally, I loved the edamame gyoza the most. The combination of the flavorful edamame and juicy meat was really delicious. It would be nice if we could choose our own combination or if they added more unique gyoza varieties, but overall, it was a good value for money at a department store. This shop has become my favorite in the department store basement.

On the way back home, I transferred at Ikebukuro in the evening. Since it was still a bit early for dinner, I decided to get some takeout at the department store basement. Even though it was the second day of the New Year, the department store basement was very crowded! I spotted "Hao Gyoza" and felt a craving for gyoza. I bought the popular No. 1 "Hao Gyoza" (6 pieces for 378 yen) and the No. 2 "Shiso Gyoza" (567 yen) for takeout. It seemed that "Hao Gyoza" also had a raw version, but I resisted the temptation. I heated them up at home and tried them. The "Hao Gyoza" was pretty standard. The "Shiso Gyoza" was bigger than the Hao Gyoza and had a nice shiso flavor, which was delicious. However, gyoza is definitely better when eaten fresh. Maybe the raw version is the way to go.

I don't think the person themselves realizes how delicious their dumplings are yet. The price is cheap, there is no appeal, and they don't realize their popularity, so time seems to pass slowly. When there are two customers waiting in line, I think, "I'm done! Let's go!" because the wait is long. The amazing thing about these dumplings is that they taste good even when cold, and even after finishing the meal, you remember and think, "Maybe it was really delicious." I was surprised because I had never had dumplings that tasted good when cold before. I don't really understand why they taste good when cold. I want to keep eating them until I can express that in words.
