Kashiwaya Yasu, a fine sake and chicken restaurant, opened in June 2000 as Kashiwaya Tohke (Shamo). Before the pandemic, it boasted a rating of over 4.3 points (I remember it being the top in Kansai) and a bronze rating on Tabelog. Due to various circumstances such as building equipment issues, COVID-19, and the owner's health, the restaurant had been mostly closed for the past three years. Despite reopening in December last year with a new name, it has not regained its previous popularity. The writer first discovered this restaurant over 15 years ago and was impressed by the large portions of chicken served here, unlike other yakitori restaurants. The use of seasonal vegetables is another highlight, enhancing the overall dining experience. The owner's careful attention to detail in cooking both chicken and vegetables sets this restaurant apart from others.

Once again, this shop was a spectacular SHOWTIME. Just like last time, we ordered a course of yakitori, a sashimi platter, some vegetables, and finished with a yakitori rice bowl. We paired it with a variety of drinks including Heartland draft beer, shochu highball, sake, and shochu. It was amazing once again! Thank you for the delicious meal!

Almost like a private reservation! Amazing from the first sashimi. Even with the same chicken breast, the difference between aged and non-aged is huge. The aged one has so much amino acid. Also, the liver and heart have absolutely no smell. Smooth, creamy. I wrote this much just for the sashimi. My favorite was the chicken breast with plum and shiso. The garnishes on top were delicate, each one. The way they cut the thin shiso leaves, I've never seen anything like it!

Once again, this shop was truly amazing. The interior has a counter and tables in the back. I ordered the chicken sashimi, special skewer course with some vegetables, and finished with a grilled chicken rice bowl. The portions were large and satisfying. They also have a great selection of alcohol, perfect for those who enjoy a drink. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is my favorite yakitori restaurant in Osaka. The carefully prepared cuts are truly exquisite. The sashimi platter has no hint of fishy smell, and each piece is perfectly aged. I recommend ordering the omakase yakitori. Especially the chicken tail is incredibly tender and juicy. The alcohol paired with the yakitori is also top-notch. Thank you for the feast!

Kashiwaya Tai Bishukake This is a yakitori restaurant that opened in Fukushima, Osaka in June 2000. It is an award-winning restaurant that received the "Bronze" award from "The Tabelog Award". After being closed since April 2020, it reopened in December 2022 under the new name "Kashiwaya Tai Bishukake" from "Kashiwaya Togyo". Reservations are required and they only serve dinner. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of "Vivir", about a 2-minute walk from Fukushima Station. The interior has a counter with 10 seats and table seating in the back. They offer a la carte dishes as well as chef's choice courses. The chef is a dedicated artisan who puts his heart and soul into grilling delicious yakitori. Each skewer is perfectly cooked to juicy perfection. The service is warm and the staff provide detailed explanations on how to enjoy the food. The chicken sashimi and grilled skewers are all delicious and satisfying. Overall, it is a fantastic yakitori restaurant where you can enjoy a delightful meal. Thank you very much. Itadakimasu.

Finally, the time has come. I have been eagerly awaiting this visit for 3 years. This time, I wanted to focus on chicken, so I ordered chicken sashimi and grilled chicken. The Heartland chicken, which was thoroughly cleaned, was incredibly delicious! The chicken sashimi was delicious without a doubt! The grilled chicken was also at a level of excitement! I used it on a special day! When making a reservation, there was a thorough confirmation process, which made me feel like I was already going to an amazing restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and it all started with the owner's explanation of the course. The words "I work hard to make delicious food" seemed to be filled with passion. The dishes, from sashimi to yakitori and vegetables, were all served in a way that brought out the flavor of the ingredients through the perfect cooking. I was able to spend a relaxing time in the quiet restaurant!

I visited this shop regularly and once again, the dinner was amazing. I ordered a platter of chicken sashimi, assorted skewers with vegetables, and finished with a grilled chicken rice bowl. I also ordered a draft beer, a non-sweet lemon chu-hi, and bottles of white and red wine. I will definitely be back again!

Visited on a Sunday night. As expected, this yakitori restaurant is truly delicious. I could eat this dish every day. Started with the chicken sashimi, all of them were moist and tender, simply the best! The grilled skewers were all cooked with care, almost too good to eat. Personally, this is my number one yakitori restaurant!

I am always deeply moved by this favorite restaurant of mine. This time, in addition to the course dishes, I chose the grilled chicken bowl. The chicken, cooked to perfection every time, is simply the best! Of course, the chicken sashimi we ordered at the beginning was outstanding as well! The selection of alcohol is also top-notch. This is a must-visit restaurant.

After Uniqlo, we went to Kashiwaya Gunkyo near Fukushima Station. When making a reservation, we were informed of various precautions, all of which seemed perfectly reasonable. From chicken sashimi to yakitori, the finale, and even the drinks, everything was satisfying. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

I visited the restaurant with a friend. There were some rules to follow beforehand, which seemed quite challenging. This may vary depending on the person. We accidentally spoke a little loudly and were told to be mindful, but it couldn't be helped. We tried various dishes from the course menu and a la carte. Everything was delicious, especially the liver which was outstanding with its perfect half-cooked texture. The chicken wings and chicken breast were also tasty. The selection of fruit-based drinks and alcohol was good too. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Fukushima has many great restaurants!

Visited on a regular night. Managed to make a reservation again this year and enjoyed some exquisite yakitori. Started with the reliable sashimi, all fresh and especially the aged chicken breast was incredibly delicious! The yakitori exceeded all expectations in terms of taste! The accompanying drinks were also well thought out and paired perfectly with the meal! It was another amazing experience this time!

Enter only when everyone is present 2. Strong-smelling perfumes and hair products are prohibited 3. No smoking 4. No cell phones 5. No menu photography These announcements are made due to their strong commitment to their principles. Please be aware that it takes quite some time for the food to be served. It is recommended to arrive early or enjoy the recommended shochu drink while waiting for your meal. It seems that you need to become a regular to truly appreciate this place. The fresh sashimi and tsukune were especially delicious.

I visited the restaurant around 7 pm on a weekday. I made a reservation two days ago and it was successful. Although it is a highly rated and popular restaurant, it doesn't seem to be too difficult to make a reservation. When I called, the restaurant informed me of various rules. I had done some research on the restaurant through reviews on Tabelog, but I found some details a bit strict, like not speaking loudly, not wearing strong perfume, and the food taking some time to be served. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit hard to find on the map, even though it is right near JR Fukushima Station. Inside the restaurant, there is a counter seat in the front and a small table seat in the back, creating a calm atmosphere with dim lighting and the rule of not speaking loudly. When I placed my order, the owner himself explained the menu to me. We started with a toast with beer, and the appetizer was a simmered mix of various vegetables. For the main dishes, we ordered the Chicken Assorted Plate, Chicken Skewers Course (7 skewers), and Charcoal-Grilled Vegetables Course (5 skewers). The owner served the dishes in a thoughtful order. The chicken liver in the Chicken Assorted Plate was particularly delicious, with a great texture and a perfect balance of bitterness, soy sauce, sweetness, and umami. The chicken skewers were all tasty, especially the liver, which was surprisingly delicious without any unpleasant bitterness. The atmosphere and taste of the restaurant made the dining experience enjoyable. We spent about 3 hours in the restaurant, enjoying several beers and a bit of sake, and the total bill for two people was in the 16,000 yen range. It may be a bit pricey, but for the high-quality yakitori, it was worth it. We were politely seen off at the end of our meal, leaving with a good feeling.

I made a reservation for 18:30, the same time as the opening at 1/11! I called a week in advance and was able to secure a reservation. When I called, the landlady asked if it was my first time, and since it was, she informed me of the precautions. The phone call felt a bit high-handed. When the restaurant opened at 18:30, a chef-like older man guided us inside. Three groups entered at the same time, and he explained the precautions and menu first. Based on reviews on Tabelog, we decided to order a sashimi and skewer assortment. My friend and I have small appetites. When we didn't order vegetables, the landlady who came to take our order said, "Please let us know early if you want to order vegetables." I later realized that they want you to order everything at once so they can provide a good balance of meat and vegetables. We started with a toast with draft beer, and the sashimi assortment arrived in 20-30 minutes! The freshness was top-notch, with no fishy smell, and it was delicious even without soy sauce or sesame oil. Especially the swordfish sashimi was something I had never tried before. I have nothing to compare it to, but personally, I prefer liver and heart. After that, the skewers came in this order: chicken breast, chicken liver, chicken neck, chicken heart, chicken meatball, chicken gizzard, and chicken wing. They were all cooked rare with exquisite seasoning. You can see the grilling area, and they work very meticulously. Even with the same skewer, they change the seasoning to match your drink, showing their dedication! As a side note, the mixed pepper served with the meatball seemed to be kudzu pepper. In any case, everything was exquisite. You don't need to speak in a low voice as much as you might expect, and they serve drinks fairly quickly. If it's going to take longer, they say, "Please wait a moment," without any issues. We left the restaurant around a little after 21:00. The whole experience took about 2 and a half hours. It was a great time to chat with my friend. The landlady was a bit stern at first, but as we got more familiar, she showed a charming and kind side. Next time, I want to try ordering a la carte.

I visited a popular yakitori restaurant in Osaka. It is located just a 1-minute walk from JR Fukushima Station, inside a shopping street in front of the station. I made a reservation and went with a colleague. When I made the reservation, the landlady told me some important points, so I arrived at the restaurant before opening time feeling a bit nervous... but it seemed that Google Maps showed the back entrance of the restaurant, so I waited at the back for 5 minutes. I realized something was wrong and finally went around to the front of the restaurant. Even then, it was still before opening time, so there were two other customers waiting in front of the shutter, which made me feel relieved. When the restaurant opened, we were seated at the counter and the chef explained some important points before the course started. We ordered the 7-piece course and added 3 more items a la carte. The chef decided the grilling order. At opening time, there were 6 customers in total. More reservation customers arrived later, almost filling up the restaurant. I had heard that it would take quite some time because the chef cooks alone, but the dishes came out quite smoothly that day. Each skewer was grilled carefully, bringing out the deliciousness of the meat, and they were all very tasty. Especially the seseri, skin, liver, tsukune, and bonjiri were outstanding. The additional items, makomo bamboo and curry cheese, were also delicious. The rock glass for shochu was made of beautiful Baccarat glass, and they made each drink with special ice cubes. It was my first time experiencing this at a yakitori restaurant. You could feel the chef's dedication in every detail. Although it may be difficult to make a reservation and there are various important points to note, it was a very good restaurant. I will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
