"This collaboration curry truly feels mischievously delicious." That was my realization when I tried the curry supervised by "Go Go Curry" at Gusto. "Go Go Curry" is a popular curry shop known for its rich and thick European-style curry roux topped with sauce katsu and served with shredded cabbage, a style known as Kanazawa curry. While they have expanded to various locations across Japan, their first collaboration with a major restaurant chain is with Gusto, resulting in the "Go Go Gusto Curry." The menu includes simple curries with only roux, as well as curries topped with Gusto's popular dishes like the "Cheese-in Hamburg." I ordered the "Kanazawa Curry Gusto Special" which boldly featured toppings like Cheese-in Hamburg, Karaage, Usukatsu, Ebi Fry, and a fried egg. The curry itself had a balance of spiciness, sweetness, and richness, and the various toppings, especially the Cheese-in Hamburg, complemented it well. While other restaurants like Coco Ichibanya also offer toppings like hamburg and fried foods, the presence of Cheese-in Hamburg made it distinctly Gusto. This collaboration curry with "Go Go Curry" is available until mid-September. Many restaurants offer limited-time curry menus during the summer, so if you enjoy flavorful curry or are in the mood for something different, be sure to visit a nearby Gusto this summer."

For some reason, I ended up at two Western-style family restaurants for some reason, and both times I couldn't resist ordering a refreshing draft beer in a mug! First, on June 8th, I visited "Gusto Sakai Midorigaoka Nakamachi Store". For alcohol, I started with a glass of red wine (120ml for 150 yen) and a mug of Asahi Super Dry draft beer (300 yen with coupon). The food choices were from the Petit Choice menu. The cute cat-shaped serving robot brought us dishes like Grilled Garlic Sauce Chicken (350 yen) and freshly baked Mentaiko Toast (150 yen with coupon). Delicious choices indeed!
Next, on June 11th, I visited another family restaurant and again started with alcohol, this time a glass of white wine (120ml for 150 yen) and a mug of Asahi Super Dry draft beer (300 yen with coupon). I opted for a mini-sized dish, the Mini Tare Katsudon (400 yen with coupon), which was just the right amount for a side dish. I also ordered a mountain of French fries (350 yen with coupon), which turned out to be a huge portion! I even added another glass of red wine (120ml for 150 yen with coupon). That's how I enjoyed a delicious and fun time at the family restaurant Gusto! Thanks to the coupons in the newspaper inserts. Bon appétit! (Photo taken with S95)

For the 4 days leading up to my health check-up, I refrained from alcohol... but after the check-up, I felt like having a drink, so I went for a lunchtime beer♪
March 23rd, Visited: "Gusto Sakai Midorigaoka Nakamachi Store"
They have a modern touch♪ The restaurant has robots serving dishes moving around the place. I used the Gusto Maru-Toku coupon again, thank you very much☆
Starting off with alcohol: White wine 120ml for 109 yen, and a draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) in a mug for 329 yen. *Coupon price, regular price for white wine is 219 yen and draft beer is 547 yen. Wine is cheap!!
Let's move on to the food♪ Spinach bacon for 164 yen. *Coupon price, regular price 274 yen. It's nice with Tabasco and powdered cheese for added spiciness and flavor. Perfect for drinking!
Additional alcohol: Highball for 274 yen. *Coupon price, regular price 329 yen. So refreshing♪ Chicken steak with spices for 500 yen. *Coupon price, regular price 879 yen. The coupon discount was amazing!! Thick, juicy, and spicy chicken steak with potatoes, corn, and edamame on the side.
I added a soft French bread for 110 yen. *Lunch service price, regular price 199 yen. Wine in a glass for 109 yen. *Coupon price, regular price 219 yen. Wine goes well with the chicken! And the bread is perfect with the corn and beans!!
I enjoyed drinking and eating, and finished everything♪ With the coupon, it was affordable, but I still spent a total of 1,595 yen for a slightly luxurious lunch. Thank you for the meal~ Gusto's lunchtime drinking might become a habit.. (laughs)

I visited a new family restaurant nearby and tried their Chicken Tequila Spice Grill for lunch. The dish was very voluminous and delicious, with crispy chicken steak and a spicy flavor. The set menu also included rice, soup, corn, edamame, and potatoes. I used a coupon and paid only 610 yen for the meal. Overall, it was a nice lunch experience at Gast Sakai Midorigaoka Nakamachi store.

I went to Gusto near my house for the first time. Even though it was a weekday afternoon, there were quite a few customers. Usually, I go to family restaurants with my work colleagues, but today I went with my family! I had the standard hamburger set, which was surprisingly juicy and much more delicious than I expected!!! My daughter had the chicken stir-fry set, and the kids had the children's plate! I also ordered the drink bar and had three drinks! I had lemon-flavored Calpis and ginger ale, followed by coffee after the meal. The kids also had two soft drinks each! Going to a family restaurant with the family is fun and the food is delicious too!!! Thank you for the meal!!!

"I think this seasoning is unique." With this thought in mind, I tried the Korean-style spicy oyster yakisoba that I received this time. When I visited "Gusto" in October, they were holding a fair called "[Gusto Style Korean Food]." As a chicken lover, I was also interested in the fair menu called "[Salted Koji and Ginger Samgyetang Set Meal]" which is great for dining alone, but what caught my attention even more was the "[Spicy Oyster Ankake Yakisoba]" that I ended up ordering. I have seen yakisoba with oysters as an ingredient at various teppanyaki restaurants during the autumn to winter season, but most of them were salted yakisoba. In contrast, the oyster yakisoba at "Gusto" this time is yakisoba noodles topped with fried oysters, mushrooms, vegetables, and a spicy ankake sauce. Personally, I have only had spicy instant noodles a few times as a punishment game at past gatherings, so my impression of spicy Korean-style yakisoba was quite strong, but the oyster ankake yakisoba I had this time was not too spicy, and it reminded me of a type of plate udon that I usually have at restaurants like "Ringer Hut." If you like oysters and mushrooms but are not a fan of spicy food, you might still enjoy this flavor. This oyster Korean-style ankake yakisoba at "Gusto" may not be easily found at yakisoba specialty shops or Korean restaurants. If you are looking for a unique limited menu this autumn, you might want to consider trying this out.

"I felt that this rice salad with shirasu (whitebait) and jelly-filled tomato cold noodles were perfect for those who prefer light flavors and love vegetables in the summer." On a hot day, rather than spicy dishes, I was looking for something refreshing and packed with vegetables. So, I ordered the following items from the current "Colorful Summer Meal" fair menu at Gusto with a friend:
- Setouchi Shirasu Salad Rice: A dish with white rice topped with Setouchi shirasu, shrimp, egg yolk, okra, and other vegetable salad. Unlike the usual rice salad found in cafes or department store delis, which often use vinegared rice like in chirashi sushi, Gusto's version had plain rice with shirasu and salad dressed with wasabi soy sauce and lemon. Overall, it was light and slightly tangy, perfect for those who prefer mild flavors.
- Steamed Chicken and Mozzarella Tomato Cold Noodles: Cold noodles with a tomato-based soup, fresh tomatoes, tomato-flavored jelly, steamed chicken, mozzarella cheese, and baby leaf. It could be seen as a reproduction of Korean cold noodles with a tomato twist, offering a refreshing tomato flavor and a smooth texture with the unique addition of tomato jelly. The seasoning was not too sour, making it easy to enjoy.
I didn't confirm how long these dishes will be available, but for those who enjoy light flavors and vegetables and haven't tried these dishes yet, you may want to consider giving them a try.

It's been a while since I've been to Gusto! My son and I had dinner together and there were various menu options, including dessert. The fried chicken looked delicious! The mixed plate set was juicy and tender. The cheese-filled hamburger was popular and came with a large serving of french fries. My son enjoyed it. The steamed chicken and cabbage salad had a nice vegetable crunch. The pudding soft serve and brownie from the coffee shop were delicious! The mascarpone cream inside the brownie was great, but I prefer a richer brownie.

"I thought it was more than just regular cold ramen." That's what I thought when I tried the low-carb cold ramen made with Setouchi lemons this time. 'Gusto' has been offering three types of local noodles representing Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Setouchi since the end of May last month. Among them, the one that caught my attention and I decided to order was the "cold salt lemon ramen." Among the noodles featured in this fair, I was familiar with Hiroshima's soupless tantanmen and Nagasaki's sara udon, but I had never heard of Setouchi's salt lemon ramen as a local specialty. However, after doing some research online, I found out that some shops in the Setouchi region (or Shikoku) sell ramen made with lemons as souvenirs. In that sense, the "cold salt lemon ramen" I ordered this time could be considered more of a regional specialty dish made with local produce rather than a local noodle. As for the taste, the clear soup made with Setouchi lemon juice had a pleasant acidity and refreshing flavor, different from the soup of Korean cold noodles, and it paired well with toppings like steamed chicken and tomatoes. The noodles used in this ramen are their original "jade noodles," which have 35% less carbohydrates compared to their regular Chinese noodles. The taste of the noodles themselves did not seem inferior to the regular ones, and they had a good texture that complemented the cold soup well. The summer limited menu, including this low-carb cold ramen, will be available until July 13th. If you're interested, please visit your nearest 'Gusto' before then.

I visited this place because I wanted to eat gratin, but they didn't have it! Instead, I ordered the creamy doria with shrimp and vegetables, which was similar to gratin. It came with saffron rice. It was a perfect size for a snack and very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had a late lunch with my son before 2 o'clock. There were few customers, so we were able to have a relaxed lunch. We ordered hamburgers from the lunch menu, with an additional side of fried potatoes. The bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making it delicious and a perfect match for the hamburger.

Today was extremely hot and my throat was dry, so I suddenly felt like cooling off somewhere and decided to enter Gusto. I wanted a little parfait more than a drink, so I chose this parfait! I still can't get used to ordering with the tablet no matter how many times I come... I ordered by entering the number on the menu. A mini parfait appeared! The whipped cream on top was lukewarm and had a slightly strange taste, which I didn't really like, so I quickly mixed it with the fruits and ate it. There were pancakes in the middle, but it seemed like the whipped cream and ice cream were overpowering, causing the pancakes to feel dry and crumbly. I thought it would be better if they were a bit moistened with syrup or something. Thank you for the meal.

"I thought this baked curry was pretty good." That's what I thought when I tried the Teppanyaki Keema Curry at 'Gusto' this time. I visited this restaurant just the other day for takeout, but this time I dined in. After being seated, I decided to try something interesting from the menu. I was intrigued by a dish featured on the cover photo, which led me to order the "Teppanyaki Keema Curry with 10 types of diced vegetables." When I think of baked curry, I usually think of the famous curry from Moji Port in Yamaguchi, which is baked with cheese on top like a gratin. On the other hand, this curry is a Teppanyaki Keema Curry, which is quite different from the one in Moji. That was one reason I was interested, but there was another reason. The vegetables. 'Keema' is an Indian term referring to minced or finely chopped meat, and Keema Curry usually focuses on the minced meat and spices. Usually, vegetables like onions and tomatoes are used as a base in Keema Curry, with some occasional eggplants or bell peppers as additional ingredients. So, when I saw the photo of this curry, I found it quite unusual. When I tasted it, I found that the minced meat was not the usual beef, pork, or chicken commonly used in Western-style restaurants or cafes, but it was flavorful with the essence of both the meat and vegetables. The vegetables were not overcooked, retaining their texture nicely. Additionally, the spice flavor was well-balanced, with each spice's individual flavor coming through. Despite the common association of Keema with minced meat, this Teppanyaki Keema Curry at 'Gusto' felt more like a vegetable-centric and healthy curry. It's different from Moji's baked curry or traditional Keema Curry. If you're interested, give this curry a try."

I came for lunch at 11 o'clock.
- Soft grated pork cutlet: 879 yen (tax included)
- Kids hamburger set: 549 yen
- Chicken nuggets: 329 yen
- Set A with drink: 516 yen (rice, miso soup, pickles, drink bar included)
- Soft serve ice cream with sweet red bean and black sugar sauce: 274 yen
The soft grated pork cutlet is homemade and carefully breaded, and it tastes delicious with refreshing ponzu sauce. It's great for kids who love Anpanman. The early lunch at 11 o'clock is nice because there are fewer people. Just for your reference at the Gusto Sakai Midorigaoka Nakamachi store.

I went to Gusto for breakfast in Sakai City. Toast, red bean paste, and coffee cost 400 yen. The quality of the toast was not good, and the coffee was not delicious either. It's about the same price as Komeda Coffee, but the taste is not worth it. However, I think it's a much appreciated place of relaxation for people nearby.

I went shopping at Nitori and Kohnan, and on the way back, I stopped by Gusto. They were having a special event called "Local Gourmet Travel" featuring delicious dishes from Hokkaido to Kyushu. I ordered Avocado Hamburger Steak Rice for 755 yen plus 193 yen, while my husband got the Pork Loin with Set C for 647 yen plus 377 yen. For dessert, I ordered the Hokkaido Soft Serve Uji Matcha Sundae for 431 yen, which reminded me of the matcha jelly I had at Ito Kyuemon Main Store in Uji before. The hamburger was tasty with the avocado, but the portion of rice was a bit small, so I ended up eating just the side dishes. As for the dessert, it was okay, but the matcha flavor seemed different from the one I had in Uji. The sauce was a bit too light for my liking. The menu mentioned that they used matcha from Tsujiri Main Store in Uji, but since it was a collaboration product, I shouldn't have expected too much. Still, it's nice to be able to enjoy local flavors without having to travel, so it was more exciting than the regular menu at Gusto.
