At the end of the year and into the New Year, my daughter who had been staying at home is finally leaving tomorrow, on a mid-January night in 2020. After eating lots of meat at "Yamagoro" charcoal-grilled BBQ restaurant, we spent about 15 minutes walking to Rainbow Yoyogi karaoke. It has become an annual tradition to go to karaoke on the last day in Japan. The next day we have to wake up early, so we can't stay long, but it's a tradition! After two years, we returned to this place and were guided to the same room we visited last time. We ordered drinks for 4 people: plum tea for 380 yen, premium malt beer for 480 yen, Kahlua milk for 480 yen, Cassis vanilla for 480 yen, glass of wine for 480 yen, Jim Beam highball for 480 yen, and potato chips for 380 yen. The final song was a favorite by Sting, whom we saw in concert last year with my second daughter. We got excited looking at pictures of Sting. Back at home, we are preparing for tomorrow's return trip. Boarding passes are printed, suitcases are weighed, and all that's left is to sleep. Tomorrow, I will take her to Kansai Airport. It's time to say goodbye again... I might cry. Good night.

In December 2018, my family and I went to karaoke together after a long time. I was unsure of what to sing, so I asked my daughter to just put in anything from the 80's. I had recently watched the movie "Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody" and we all sang it together, even though I didn't understand the English lyrics. The song was quite difficult, but we had a lot of fun. We opted for the one-drink course instead of the all-you-can-drink premium course. We enjoyed drinks like Premium Malt for 480 yen, Hot Calpis for 380 yen, and two glasses of Kishu-selected Minato plum wine for 480 yen each. Seeing the artist on the karaoke screen really pumped up our excitement levels. We sang songs like "Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me" and "Earth, Wind & Fire - September". What was supposed to be a 2-hour session turned into a 3-hour stay. It was a fun karaoke session with an 80's theme. Thank you for the delicious food and drinks!

We went to a karaoke place with our family after visiting a shrine and having a meal. It was around 8pm on January 2nd when my daughter suddenly said she wanted to go to karaoke. We decided to go, and her friend joined us. We went to a famous karaoke place called Rainbow, where we were quickly shown to a room. We sang some 80's songs and enjoyed some free fries with our drinks. It was a fun family karaoke night, although the bill was a bit of a shock due to the New Year's surcharge.
