Hello, this is Harukichi♪ I had been intrigued by the cool exterior and atmosphere of this restaurant every time I passed by, and I had always wanted to visit. "Sakaba Nogiku" is the name of the place. On this night, accompanied by a talkative friend, we were looking for a place where we could have a quiet drink and chat. We started with a toast with Akahoshi Sapporo beer. The atmosphere was just as nice as I had hoped for. There is a nostalgic Showa era vibe lingering around. Besides us, there was only one regular customer, a gentleman, who struck up a conversation with us right after the toast. We quickly hit it off, and soon the four of us were engaged in lively conversation. We ordered dishes like "Whale Bacon (500 yen)", "Kimchi Tofu", "Grilled Hormone (1,300 yen per person)", and "Osaka-style Grilled Squid (500 yen)". The dishes were all simple and cheap, with strong flavors, but somehow that was forgivable in this cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Or maybe we were just having too much fun chatting, and the food became secondary. We switched to Black Hoppy halfway through. It made me feel like I was drinking in Asakusa with this atmosphere. And they use Kinmiya Hoppy here too. I really like the atmosphere of this place. It's very calming. Our conversation covered various topics like work, economy, marriage, and politics, and we had a blast. I would recommend this place to people who enjoy drinking in a relaxed atmosphere, regardless of the food. The regular customer mentioned that most people who come here are heavy drinkers. Maybe even if you come alone, you can have a good time here. It's a hidden gem in Nishi Nakasu that you wouldn't want to become too popular. Well then, Harukichi♪. Fukuoka's finest gourmet.
