ミッポT
This is a shop located near the entrance of Sumiyoshi Ginza, 100 meters from Sumiyoshi Station, selling seafood bowls for takeout. The shop, Donmaru, can also be found in Oshiage and Kiyosumi Shirakawa, but this Sumiyoshi branch just opened on July 23rd. The menu is surprisingly extensive, with over 50 items to choose from. I was overwhelmed by the options and ended up letting the customer behind me go ahead. They offer classic seafood bowls, tuna bowls, chirashi bowls, negitoro bowls, as well as luxurious options like uni ikura bowls, uni toro bowls, and kani toro bowls. They even have unique options like engawa bowls, aji tataki bowls, and suji toro bowls, all priced at 525 yen each, which can make decision-making difficult. You can also opt for extra rice for 630 yen, extra toppings for 735 yen, or a special extra (both rice and toppings) for 840 yen. You can also order sashimi without rice for 500 yen. In the end, I ordered the "Bakudan bowl." Without checking the contents, I brought it home and finally understood the meaning of the name. It contained large slices of tuna, salmon, squid, negitoro in the center, and natto and mentaiko on the side. The large slices of tuna and the fresh squid tentacles were delightful, and mixing the negitoro, natto, and mentaiko with the rice was a perfect combination. Although there were no long lines, the shop was constantly busy with customers, and I can see why it's a popular spot. In a way, it's like a specialized version of Kozu Sushi for bowls, where you can easily enjoy a taste of the sea.
