This is a gyoza unmanned vending shop along Abeno-suji in Abeno. They offer gyoza in various types such as normal, vegetable, and garlic. I thought it was a high-tech system, but it turned out that you have to open the freezer yourself, take the gyoza, and put the money in a box. So, you can only buy in 1000 yen increments as no change is given. This system must be cost-effective. The gyoza tastes good, even though it's frozen. Overall, it's worth a try!

In September 2021, a self-service store for fresh dumplings called "Fukuchan" opened in my neighborhood. My friends who love dumplings and I went to buy on the first day of opening (September 10th). There was a special event for the first 200 customers where they could receive a pack of eggs, but we were late and missed it. It's interesting to see how a self-service store works without any staff. They have monitors with guidance and explanations all around to help first-time buyers. You start by taking out dumplings from the freezer. Fukuchan dumplings come in a pack of 36 for 1000 yen (tax included), which is a generous portion. Besides dumplings, they also sell other items like Chinese noodles. The nostalgic flavors are appealing. For those who don't like garlic, they have vegetable dumplings without garlic. They also offer a special char siu pork belly. The dumpling sauce comes in two flavors: soy sauce and miso. You need to calculate and put the exact amount in the payment box since no one is there to give change. We bought the Fukuchan dumplings, which were quite heavy. When we opened them, we found 18 dumplings in each tray. We followed the cooking instructions on the package and made pan-fried dumplings with crispy bottoms. The dumplings were filled with meat and crunchy vegetables, perfectly seasoned. The chili oil that came with it added a nice kick. We devoured them quickly and decided to come back for more. By the way, why is it called "Fukuchan" and not "Fukuchan"?

I went to a dumpling restaurant but I wasn't satisfied with the dumplings, so I found this place nearby and decided to get takeout. It's a quiet area with few people at night, which might be why it's open 24 hours. I personally prefer the regular dumplings over ones with a lot of garlic, and the ones I got here were definitely better than the ones I had at the restaurant. It's convenient that these places are popping up in various locations lately.

At work, there were mixed opinions about this place in Abeno (*^^*) I had been thinking about buying it for a few months... and finally bought it on a day when I had to work overtime! It comes with instructions on how to cook regular gyoza and vegetable gyoza, but I just cooked them the usual way because that way it won't be enough for the whole family. I cooked it twice after taking this photo... well, the skin is thinner than Gyoza no Ohsho. The meat is okay. My kids said it was delicious ❤ Personally, if I'm going to cook at home, I prefer the Marufuku gyoza I received the other day because I don't really like the skin of Gyoza no Ohsho that I usually buy. But since it's close by, I think it's worth a try! I also bought some chashu, so I'm thinking of adding it to ramen today ( ˶ー̀֊ー́ )੭" But if I don't eat it soon, my freezer will be full...( ⸍ɞ̴̶̷ ·̫ ɞ̴̶̷⸌ )

Fukuchan Gyoza has recently opened in Abeno! They offer two types of gyoza - standard and stamina garlic. The gyoza skins are a bit smaller, and you can get 36 frozen gyoza for 1000 yen, which is quite cheap! I tried both types and they were good quality. They also have other items like braised pork belly.
